Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2005. Nicknamed "Iron Mike"[4] and "Kid Dynamite" in his early career, and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet",[5] Tyson is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.[6] He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990. Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. Claiming his first belt at 20 years, four months, and 22 days old, Tyson holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title.[7] He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. The following year, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in 91 seconds of the first round.[8] In 1990, Tyson was knocked out by underdog Buster Douglas[9] in one of the biggest upsets in history.
In 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape and sentenced to six years in prison, although he was released on parole after three years.[10][11][12] After his release in 1995, he engaged in a series of comeback fights, regaining the WBA and WBC titles in 1996 to join Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali, Tim Witherspoon, Evander Holyfield and George Foreman as the only men in boxing history to have regained a heavyweight championship after losing it. After being stripped of the WBC title in the same year, Tyson lost the WBA title to Evander Holyfield by an eleventh round stoppage. Their 1997 rematch ended when Tyson was disqualified for biting Holyfield's ears, one bite notoriously being strong enough to remove a portion of his right ear. In 2002, Tyson fought for the world heavyweight title, losing by knockout to Lennox Lewis.
Tyson was known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behavior inside and outside the ring. With a knockout-to-win percentage of 88%,[13] he was ranked 16th on The Ring magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time,[14] and first on ESPN's list of "The Hardest Hitters in Heavyweight History".[15] Sky Sports described him as "perhaps the most ferocious fighter to step into a professional ring".[16] He has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame. - Спорт

It's a shame Cus passed away. We could've had a different Iron Mike had D'mato won his battle with cancer. Maybe in a parallel universe
Nowadays they go running around and start scream when they get a knock out
One of the reasons Tyson will always be my favorite boxer is because he always seemed to feel extremely bad after he put someone down, he understood that his punches in his prime were like gunshots and he understood that his power had the ability to kill someone or cause lifelong damage and he always wanted to see if the guy was OK and was able to get up afterwards.
Tyson is my favourite fighter too bro. Also, on my channel, I just did "a breakdown of The Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis Fight"... HONESTLY YOU NEED TO CHECK IT OUT!!!
If he really cared that much about his opponent's wellbeing, he wouldn't have become a fighter in the first place. You can't break someone's jaw with an intentional uppercut then say "Oh sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you. Are you okay?"
Anyone who decides to become a professional boxer/fighter needs to accept that deep down, your motivations are money, fame, glory - whatever. Definitely not the wellbeing of your opponent. There's no honour in needless violence.
@@BiggyJimbo ❄️
@@khirek5335 Do you disagree with what I said?
@@BiggyJimboNo, nobody will make it to this Level without loving the sport itself just to gain money and fame! Sure it's brutal and violent but it has rules and it is still a sport. They all want to win, but not end the opponents career or even kill them. Hence Tyson bit ears, punched after the referee stepped in... He's definetely not the best example of carrying for the other!
The way he respect his opponents after knocking them is just says about his pure nature ❣

1-1 fight in the ring is a totally different scenario. I dont think humble is the right word. He's just showing a good sportsmanship
Sportmanship is the right term
BRAVISSIMO!
First thing I noticed that he straight in the opposite corner to check they okay
Mike is great at what he does because he puts the time in the gym, which is why I think he also understands the hardships of other boxers who reach at that level and understands the frustration of the hard work not paying off at the moment from his past losses.
Mike always checking on his opponents after, never saw that before, was actually very respectful, good shit champ

Tyson is a true aficionado and fanatic of the sport. He loves boxing, it saved him from the ghetto. He had the utmost respect for every man he ever fought in the ring, an Aldo a kind man outside of it.
With that being said, when that bell rang he became a pitbull trained to literally kill his opponent till the final bell or ref stepped in. You can thank the GOAT trainer Cus Damato for that.

+toojohnny - FINALLY ... someone in the comment section of this video who actually knows what they're talking about. I'm amazed Tyson can walk with so many people's heads stuck so firmly up his ass!
:-P
Anyway ... you're absolutely right! He wasn't in the Top 5 when it comes to power, though unlike you I _would_ put him in the Top 10. As for his rank amongst the all time great Heavyweights, I agree that he's in the Top 10, and I'd probably put him in at 8 or 9. The problem is that we never really got to see him fight a great Heavyweight while they were both in their prime. That being the case, he might actually fall out of the Top 10 if we'd seen such a fight and he'd lost. Don't you think? People here don't seem to understand that knocking out tomatoes in the first round - on his way up - doesn't mean as much as they think it does. He had limited reach but was able to get inside because of his speed. However ... imagine him fighting Ali in his prime; Tyson wouldn't have been able to get inside Ali and that would have shut him down completely. I don't think he would have been fast enough to avoid Ali's punches either - especially his jabs - and that would have caused him a lot of trouble. If he fought someone like Foreman in his prime, he would have been in a lot of trouble there too, because he would have had a lot of difficulty getting inside there as well, plus we saw how badly things went whenever he fought against someone who had some power. He got so used to knocking out tomatoes that he got very frustrated and went off his game whenever he met someone who stuck it out for a few rounds and gave him back some damage. It's a shame that we never really saw him pushed by a great fighter while he was in his prime. If we'd seen that then I think we'd have a better idea where he should be; in the Top 10 or not - depending on how he went - and if he was in the Top 10, then we'd have a better idea about where he should be on the list.
Thoughts?

Man straight away comes from an anime world.
Tyson is the best fighter and good guy, every guy he knocked them he helped them up. Respect this guy
Godfrey Lajuan Except for the counts of rape and the fact he used to beat his wife, yep stand up guy
Zee Fisher he's trash....with a lot of money
See how humble a person Mike Tyson is...everybody has a story, but from these videos, he knew when tp stop, he knew his strength, and he will stop punching when he saw an opponent was defeated...much respect for him!
Yeah Great sportsmen!
J
Yea Mike Tyson was a great sportsmen but at one time he lost his discipline and that's what people remember
+Sony Purwoko Even though he bit an ear off
Babstifløbbo that was the new mike

Good night? More like "rest in peace"
Didn't know Tyson was so kind to the people he knocked down. He immediately rushes forth in kindness :´(
Bravilor same
Bravilor in his book he write that he did it to rub it in that he was better
Olbohn Just don't fuck with his pigeons though.
Bravilor he did a documentary if you havnt seen it. cant remember the name but it's very good and Mike is very open and aware of who he is , well worth the watch.
Whats it called?
Finally found a video of just pure Tyson KOs and not some annoying commentator always talking over it
So fast so Mart so powerful and so devestating he is an absolute tunk , there will never be another machine like this man ever
Everytime I skip 10 secs to see the knockout the next fight starts
Twitch Stream Clips my thoughts exactly 🤣
Then dont skip
😂😅🤣😅 yep ...don't blink
🤣😂 perfect comment
It’s short clips
Tyson had an amazing combination of speed and power. Lots of heavyweights have the power but the quickness and speed Tyson had as a heavyweight is what set him apart.
Nobody used their mind in a boxing match more than Mike Tyson, very under apprecitated for his knowledge.
I wish boxing was still as glorious as it was in the 80’s.
Same
Boxing nowadays all about collecting points of punches nothing more..
Hi, please appreciate my video.

You really don't wanna confront this man in his Prime time..... period
KB KB honestly not too many would want to brawl with this guy outside the ring right now, he's still pretty fit and still trains to keep in shape
Prime? Even now in his 50s if he throws a single punch on your face, you will have a concussion.
You don't want to confront him now god damn.
love how they talk the talk, walk the walk and still has respect to pick up or aid his opponent after a knockout.
I was young when he was fighting...this guy is a real bad ass..very dangerous.
Mike was so incredibly misunderstood. What a brilliant fighter. The heavyweight division died the day he retired. I love how he's doing so many things with his podcast and how humble he is.
Hes also got a legal weed farm and resort.
He’s so awesome. Had some issues when he was younger but he worked through that and is so humble now and doing lots of great things, what a success.
Some poor guy had to fight Mike Tyson while Mike was going through a divorce.
😂
Lucky he wasnt dead 💀
All my condolences thanks God Mike Tyson can’t see me since I’m John Cena
Your John Cena but yet Michael Jackson is on your profile pic
Lol. Now this comment made me LOL
