I was torn between this one and the Oppo Find X7 Ultra and in the end opted for the Oppo....you are right when you say we are being spoilt at the moment with all the great quality androids!
there is a new hyperos update that is said to fix the selfie camera exposure issue. have you done it?
What settings are you using man? Mine is making whites too white, yellows too yellow, colours on leica authentic sometimes look spot on, but it seems a bit hit and miss with what my eyes are actually seeing

Do you remember the "Pebl" phones? This one I call "soap" it is almost smooth like a piece of soap. smooth and handy.

Oh yea...had to go black especially with the orange accent on the photography kit 🔥🔥🔥 honestly the glass/ceramic variant of this phone makes it look significantly less premium imo...but I love it on the pro. Weird lol maybe I'm just used to the vegan leather since the 13u
I imported it, I got it for 1000 dollars instead of the outrageous global price. Wouldn't have bought it if I had to pay the full price.
Chinese ROM has some issues. Like not getting the notifications. Please let us know if you find no issue in Chinese ROM phone. 👍🏻

@@TheSaboorAnsariIf this answers your question, I am using a Poco F2 Pro with a ported HyperOS rom from a chinese version. Notifications appear fine for SMS and phone calls. Other apps seem fine also.
Nice phone. Camera is paramount for me, so I think I'll wait for the international OPPO Find X8 Ultra before I replace my IPhone X (the 7 seems so fantastic!) but this is a good one too.
I used to have the same lens fog issues on my Mi 11 Ultra... something they keep doing wrong. Too bad they don't sell the blue global version.

Could you please do a direct comparison (including cameras) between the OnePlus 12 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra? I’m considering between these two.
There is no comparison between Oneplus 12 and 14 ultra.... Oneplus 12 is nothing infront of 14 ultra
Even xiaomi 14 is better than oneplus 12.. But oneplus 12 has bigger battery that is the only 1 plus point in Oneplus 12
If you want the best, Xiaomi 14 U.
If you can't afford to spend that much money on a phones then go to the 1plus phone

Do you know what the diameter of the camera lens glass is, where the rings for filter goes on?
It's 67mm, standard filter size.
oh, okay my one plus open looks like 52mm, thought maybe I could get the camera kit and use it. Ive heard the trigger handle part of it works on other phones.@
HI got my S24Ultra for £739 with a trade in deal. I sold the free Watch 6 for £150. So £589.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is £1299 but they giving me £838 for the S24 Ultra.
What do you advise??

I have only heard about lens fogging on the basic Xiaomi 14 not the Ultra.
pre ordered the 14 ultra global version here in the UK. the main lens does fog when you're shooting outside and the temperature is less than 10°C, and you tinker with pro mode which heats up the phone a bit.. it disappears in a minute or two though
The orange ring gives the phone a whole new personality... yes it gives it the Sony A7's personality! Surprised Sony is letting it slide given its their trademark look!

I've heard the lens is prone to condensation. Good camera but useless if true. Open the sim tray apparently the solution. 😂

OK Average Dad... help me out here! I really like the sound of 'your' 14 Ultra (and I'm not over the moon with my S24 Ultra) but for every rave review there's one that slates it - I've never seen such polarised reviews before. MrWhoseTheBoss and many others just don't rate it. Some show hideously overexposed shots in the camera comparisons etc. What's the score here, and how can I be sure without buying it and also losing money on the S24!?
You are wrong, not the largest sensors, Oppo 3x and ultra wide are bigger.
Yeah was gonna say that.. good pick up. The Oppo has larger physical sensors, but the xiaomi has wider apertures on the ultra wide and 3.2x.. Either way I'm very happy with my Oppo find x7 ultra 👍

I had it a few days and it kept freezing and I missed a important call because I couldn't get into the phone. I'm sure with updates it will be fine

I bought the UK version and tonight I've experienced this lense fog issue. It was the main lense and it was pretty bad. I'm sending mine back for a refund which I'm gutted to have to do but I can't justify the cost for a device that seems to have quality control issues.
I never even had chance to test the lens...mine came with an inch scratch on the screen
Pay that much for a camera lens condensation is a huge risk to invest in a Mi 14 ultra. Better wait for monsoon in India to wait and watch.

No lens fog here....but no screen protector on mine and came with big scratch on screen ...waiting for them to send out return label and jiffy bag to send back for refund

The high price of smart phones is thanks to Apple mostly 🙄 though it wouldn't kill Xiaomi to have it cheaper than £1,299. That said the Pad 6 is £369 on Xiaomi's site and the photography kit is about £179

This was a really good review - thanks! I was seriously considering getting this phone with the added tablet/ cam kit. But in the end - I gotta stick with Samsung me thinks. I just am too used to the samsung eco system. If I had money to burn maybe I would buy this just to mess with the camera - but thats kind of mental to do ;-) Im not gonna bother upgrading from my S23 ultra to the S24 Ultra this year it just feels not needed plus just got the latest update so have all the AI Capabilities now on my S23 Ultra. Very interesting though what Xiaomi are looking to achieve here and will be interesting how this develops in the future. It just all feels a bit gimmicky ... anyway great review as said so thanks for putting this together)
I'm with you - I was so tempted by the cameras but it is a bit of a one trick pony. I'm lost as to why they went with a smaller screen, with curves. Sticking with the S24U

The Samsung S24 Ultra is a beast ..It's just a great phone all round and ease of use ..
I had one (S24U) from launch and yeah -- the device feels premium but the corners dig in your hand. Found that the biggest and maybe only downside. Just was uncomfortable. The flat screen on the S24 is mint -- wish the Xiaomi had full flat but damn it feels comfy in the hand.
It does have its advantages, but those are all software (with the exception of the stylus support). IMHO that doesn't justify the premium they are charging over comparable hardware.
The camera kit build quality is awful. Phone build is amazing though

Shame the electric chair overshadowed the 14 Ultra review. F*ck the phone! Get me that chair! 😂😂😂
