- CT-13 U-Haul Camper Tour. There is only an estimated total of 2000 of these in circulation. It was modeled closely to a Burro Camper and is built extremely tough to take rental abuse. I love this little thing and love living out of it, so I wanted to share it with you all! Hope you enjoy! Please let me know what questions, comments, or future UA-cam videos you'd like to see in the future.

Am I the only person who did not know Uhaul made a camper. It's adorable.
I honestly didn't know they made a camper until I stumbled on it looking for a Scamp on FB Marketplace. My dad and I did some research and within minutes I made a quick decision to get it. I didn't know how cool and unique it was until it was in my possession. And they are built with quality to take rental abuse. If U-Haul did this now... They wouldn't be able to keep their rentals in stock.
Most people do not know this.. I just happened to know because I was researching fiberglass egg trailers of various makes and sizes before I finally settled on a scamp. In the process I discovered the U-Haul egg. They only made a very small number (a few dozens ) of these before they stopped production. But if you can get your hands on one of these used, it is definitely a good investment and a piece of history.
Probably cheaper to make your own out a u haul trailer lol
I didn't know, either.
I didn't know either
I didn’t know U-haul made a camper. Sooo cute. Love it!
Thank you! I absolutely love it!
I didn't know either. It looks like it is very well-built.
@@justmeandthethree It's held up well the last 4 years with me towing it places I had no business being with this set up. (That was more at the beginning when I was learning how to research dispersed camping sites and what to look for). I think they built them to take rental abuse and after nearly 40 years, it's still holding up well. 💛
Oh my word, I never knew Uhaul had made a camper! I love it. I wish I could come across one of those for myself.
I hope you do one day! They are incredible little campers. They don't make 'em like they used to.
@@tennesseewanderer Anything still on the road after 40 years is definitely well made.
100%!!!! I have plans for a full restoration when I get done beating it up on the road. Still keeping it original and figuring out how to restore the exterior and interior properly.
I actually rented one of these in 1985. it was the first time I ever tried camping in a trailer. Really enjoyed the time I spent in it.
That's so cool! Maybe it was this one? 🤷🏼♀️
@@paulwoodman5131 That's a great question! I'm super curious!
Instead of your "wet" portapotty, you might want to switch to a barrel hassock + pine pellets. Just put a regular kitchen bag in the barrel, add pine pellets, pick up and dispose anywhere. No odor and no dirty fluids to worry about. I've been using this system for more than 4 years in my camper van, and love the convenience. Buy the horse stall type pine pellets which have maximum absorption. I find about a half cup of pellets lasts me 2-3 days (alone in the van). Pellets swell up to become sawdust.
Great advice! I'll have to look into that! Thanks!
Thats a wonderful idea. Much easier to dispose of and cleaner.
Awesome sauce advice!
Thank you for that info!
Great food cat litter too!
I bought a CT13 late last year and I am starting to get it road ready. I am so excited to camp in it and explore adding more solar to it! Thank you for posting this video!
Ahhhhh! I'm soooo excited for you! I've seen so many cute remodels, I'm just a sucker for keeping things as close to original as possible. I'm a thrifter and antiquer... So this is right up my alley.
@@tennesseewandererhow much did you pay for camper? Did you have to do work on it first? God bless you friend of campers 🌞🙏❤️✝️
I never in my life had any interest in a tiny camper until I saw your videos today. This is so well-sorted with small footprint and 0 wasted space.
I never knew uhaul made a camper! Much like the Scamp 13 foot camper. Very cute!
Thank you! They were made in 1984 and 1985. They rented them out until 1992 when they sold and/or destroyed their fleet. There's not very much documentation left for their history. I was actually on the hunt for a Scamp when the U-Haul popped up. It's similar to a Casita or Scamp, but is most closely designed like a Burro. If U-Haul ever did this again, they would make a killing in today's market.
@@tennesseewanderer Boy they would make a killing! I would be 1st in line. I guess I will have to get a Scamp if I can afford one nowadays.
This is adorable! I had no idea U-Haul ever made campers.
I love your set up and I'm so glad you kept it original. Your cat has a whole wing to himself! lol
Thank you! 💛 And a USB heating blanket for those cold nights.... He chased me down off of the street and made me his. Haha
I respect your independent spirit and upbeat attitude…that’s a cool little camper!
Thank you! I didn't even have a hitch on my car yet when I bought the camper. I learned to tow with this camper and it's been a blast!
Your camper is very cute. I really like your curtains. I subscribed and I'm looking forward to more videos. I'm 72 and since I don't get out much, I like to see how other people live. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you so much! I hope you get to have some adventures still! And thank you for the compliment on the curtains. One of my best friends did most of the work and helped me make them. I don't know how to use a sewing machine. I adore them and think about her every day I'm in my camper. 💛
I’m 75 so I don’t travel very much anymore I really like your camper it’s roomer than I imagined
@@jackiejeffries308 Thank you! It feels like a mini mansion after living in it since November. 💛
I’ve never seen a trailer made by Uhaul. What a great find!! I lucked out with my Chevy Astro Van. It’s a year 2002 miles only 55K miles. Can’t wait to get on the road again. 😊
That's awesome! I love Astro Vans! If I didn't have this camper, I'd definitely get something like what you have or a Westfalia. Hope you get it on the road again soon!
Never seen one of these or even heard of these. Great!
They are pretty neat little campers! I was lucky to find one on accident.
So freaking cool! I have never seen one before! Thanks for the peek! Great job!
Thank you! It still needs a lot of work, but it's still viable enough to be out here having a blast in it. Hope to see you down the road! 💛
Thanks for sharing, first one I have ever seen. Nice little camper. Love the original graphics.
Thank you! There's only an estimated 2,000 of them in existence. There is also a 16ft one with a bathroom... (I think there's only an estimated 200 of those in existence). The first time I saw one was when I made the quick decision to buy it in 2019. A lot of them have been redesigned and repainted, so if you've seen one, it may not have had the U-Haul graphics. It's been such a fun little camper and has everything someone needs to live as far off the grid as you can safely tow it.
This is just too cute! Had no idea U-Haul ever had campers!
I didn't either until I found it while searching for a Scamp. I got so lucky with my timing.
WOW, a Beautiful Woman that appreciates living small except for her pets. I raised my kids outdoors in Montana hiking and canoe camping. With so much of AMERICA to see why get hung up on amenities that you lose sight of the goal.
Thank You for the trip down memory lane and into your adventures.
You are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
Thank you so much! I guess I'm considered to be a dirty hippie. Lol! This life isn't for everyone and I try to keep it as close to reality as possible. Having fewer amenities is challenging, but it also makes me appreciate everything that I have in my real house when I get done traveling for months at a time. I basically work to save money, quit, travel for 4-8 months when my money gets low and repeat the process. I've seen sooo much of America and spend more time outside of my camper than in it. Instagram has a habit of making things look easier or nicer than they really are... This is real and lived in and a very loved little price of vintage history. I'm so glad you raised your kids outdoors. We took many family camping trips when I was little... So I guess I kinda feel like a big kid when I'm out here. Hope you have an amazing week ahead! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a kind and thoughtful comment. 💛
@@tennesseewanderer when traveling on my motorcycle and I break down, I find local work as a carpenter/ handy man to buy parts or pay for repairs I can't do myself instead of dipping into reserves.
It worries my eldest son the most, he could afford to pay to get me back on the road. I pray some day he understands his old man.
I'm currently repairing/ rebuilding an old farmhouse foundation wall so I have a level and flat floor to lay tile before installing new kitchen cabinets. It gives me the chance to rewire and plumb the house up to code. Three months work will " money me up" quite nicely.
At the same time I'm rebuilding my bikes front end and carbs. New brakes, lines and all will keep me safe for quite a while.
At times I wish I carried more of my own tools, but that won't fit in a bikes panniers.
Stay fit and happy.
You are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
A tiny house on wheels, with a nice minimalist approach. Cozy but there's no wasted space, which you keep everything organized. Very nice and great use of space 👍🏻👌😀. Thank you and take care 🙂
Thank you! It's been so fun to travel with!
Such a blessing to have your dad help out 😊
That is an understatement. He is awesome. I wouldn't be half the person I am today without his guidance. 💛 I am extremely blessed and lucky.
Great little camper.thank you for sharing.😊
Thank you for taking a tour with me. 💛
Rupert...he's not spoiled 😂😂❤. Our fur babies definitely deserve to be spoiled 👍😁🥰. I didn't know uhaul made campers either...so cute!! 💜
Hahaha! He's so spoiled! So is my dog, Charlee. Spoiling them is my favorite! And thank you! I love it!!! 💛
@@tennesseewanderer Haha I was gonna put the cat AND dog emoticons lol. They give us never-ending unconditional love so the least that they deserve is to be spoiled imo 😁🐕🐈 Looking forward to your other videos, new subber. Take care. 🙂💗
Awww! Thanks so much! Yes, they deserve every bit of spoiling they get. They are a perfect pair, too.💛

U-Haul has had TONS of crazy items they rented over the decades. This is an AMAZING find, so jeally. Thank you for sharing - A Uhaul Employee : )
Ahhhh! So cool! I'd love to know how much these used to rent for back in the day. I don't think there is any documentation of any of that and what their metrics were. It was all lost when they sold and destroyed the fleet. I'm grateful to have it! It's super neat and nostalgic for me. 💛
I loved these things! I actually rented one from U-haul back in the day. Great little get away bubble!
It is definitely a great little get away bubble. It's kind of like a little time capsule at this point. I know I could remodel it, but I also appreciate its original condition... It's a constant dilemma for me. Haha! It's so cool reading that people have rented these... Who knows, maybe it was this one!?
Thank you!! Your personality is contagious. Also, your Dad must be very-very intelligent. Having an adult daughter myself, it was wonderful to hear you give your Dad a ton of praise for the adaptations he was able to do with the U-Haul trailer.
Thank you! He is very engineer savvy. I don't understand half the stuff he did, but it works great. I'm lucky to have him. He's an amazing dad and spent the end of one hot summer in 2019 redoing to electric for me. I couldn't be more grateful.
OMG! So cute! I love that little Uhaul camper! 🚐
Thank you! 💛
@@tennesseewanderer You’re very welcome! 🌸
I love seeing you smiling in this video and I think it’s perfect! Especially since I couldn’t go in since you updated and added Rupert. LolI’m a subscriber now. Happy travels Ashley 😘😘I’m so glad I met you in my travels! What a wonderful little surprise our friendship has become!!
Thanks Margaret! Love you! I'm so glad we met 3 years ago! What a journey and an awesome friendship this has become. I couldn't imagine my life without you. 💛😘
WOW! This is so cute. Just enough space for 1 and a pet.
It really is! It's so much fun! I have a husky, too... That can be extremely challenging in this tiny space. But we deal the best we can and have a blast!
Used to see these on the road and the U-Haul rental stores everywhere we had been had them. I know a person who has two of them. Though he is smart for he won't part with either of them. I wouldn't either. Glad you have one! Hope it serves you well.
It's been an amazing little camper. I'm so lucky to have it. I won't part with mine either and have plans for a full restoration when I'm done beating it up traveling around the country.
I remember these and wanted one! You really got a great deal and at the time that you did! Very cool, and I'm so glad you and your buddies are so happy living in it... I'm definitely envious! 😊
I lucked out big time! I love this little thing! It's so fun! I live out of it for 4-8 months at a time until my money runs out and I have to go back to work... It's been incredible and the experiences are more than money can buy.
@@tennesseewanderer Those experiences are EVERYTHING, and why I've always wanted to live on the road in one thing or another! When I was little, about 8 or so, I used to draw van build plans on graph paper before they were called that, LOL! !
@@julienicolayI hope you get your chance! And trust me... road life is awesome, but it's also extremely hard. I think social media does a terrible job of giving people a realistic perspective of what it's really like out here. I busted out the front windshield of the camper 10 miles outside of Gallup in 2019 on the interstate coming from the Painted Desert. I've cried the big ugly cries, I've been harassed for gas money from an intimidating male stranger in Monument Valley with no one else around... You just never know, but honestly... I'd do it all over again! Don't ever stop dreaming! I didn't and now we are living proof dreams really do come true. 💛
That is one AWESOME camper! I am so happy for you. I can literally feel your joyfulness over it, and I fully understand it.
Thank you! I'm just as excited to own it today as the day I got it. I've had it for nearly 4 years now. I've done about 15K+ miles in it and we are on our 3rd extended trip. 💛
You have a beautiful little tiny home. Thank you for showing me.
Thank you! I'm so grateful to have it. 💛
LOVE the authenticity and traces of life ♥
Thank you! I wanted more than just boring beige. Life is way too short! Lol
You are so fortunate to have a dad who can handle the electronics/solar!! You can't have too many usb outlets 😉
Ridiculously fortunate! I would have been out here with a generator and some type of solar something that was not as convenient as everything he installed. It's not lost on me how lucky I am. 💛 He did a fantastic job.

Awesome trailer….
Don’t do what you don’t like to do… enjoy you life.👍🧚🏽♂️✨💫🦋
Thank you! And thank you for the kind reminder. I used to really enjoy social media, it's not that I hate the video... It's just the impact it can have on your mental health from people who are extremely critical, rude, or judgmental. But yes, life is too short, and trust me... I'm in the middle of it living every day to the fullest! 💛 Hope you have an amazing day!!!
I have to have one of these now!!! These are awesome campers... Just amazing! Thank you Rupert!
They are pretty awesome! The Burro camper is a close 2nd to these. Rupert is a pretty cool cat. He says "thank you," too.
Very Cool !!!
Love this little camper!! Perfect for single person travel!! Just subscribed… look forward to getting to know you! PS I’m a TN gal myself but now live in the great PNW!!
Hi! Thanks so much! Let me know if there's something in particular you want to see or know about! We just hit the Pacific Coast for the first time! I'm stoked! Got a lot of miles ahead!
I loved your tour, wha a cute camper! Safe travels!
Thank you! 💛
Really love this camper. Thank you for sharing your rig.
Thank you so much for watching! It's an incredible little camper. All of the fiberglass campers are, this one is just a little more unique since there are so few of them in circulation.
What a awesome camper!! ❤
Thank you! 💛
Whoa, I really like that the camper has actual AC in it! I can't imagine sleeping in a closed space without much airflow, especially in summers - I'm born in summer but I heckin' hate the heat it comes with 😖 Lovely build and set-up!
Thank you! For being nearly 40 years old... It's holding up well. It's been so much fun! The airco only works when hooked up to electricity so I hardly get the opportunity to use it, but when I do, it's awesome to have. Can't believe they fit everything in that tiny space!
I didn’t know they made them either. Very cute little camper. And no judgements!
Thank you! I know it looks a little old and grimey for some people, but its regular wear and tear and discoloration from being 40 years old and actually being used. I have driven it thousands of miles and I have been boondocking since November... I think sometimes people have unrealistic expectations of what this kind of life is really like. And thank you again! It's been an amazing little camper.
Great little camper!!! How I wish I had kept my Boler at times!!! But, probably better I’m not hauling it anyway, but, it sure was fun having it when I did!!! Thanks for sharing!
I forgot about the Bolers! Those were nice little campers! Glad you got to have fun with one when you did! I don't know if I could ever part ways with this camper. It's my 3rd trek around America. 💛 We have so many memories now!
Great video! Super cute camper!!!!
Thank you! I LOVE it! 💛
Gives u-haul new meaning - u haul yourself. It is quite cute and in great condition 💕
Thank you so much! It is awesome! I still even have the metal ash trays that were where the USB ports are on the bed/table conversation. My dad tried not to put extra holes in the fiberglass when he was designing everything.
So Pretty n cute! The Camper Too!!!
Lol! 😂 Thank you!
How cool is this! I didn't even know these existed. Cool find and right on for leaving on the stickers and keeping it OG.
Thank you! It's been so much fun! It's so tempting to do a remodel, but I love the original everything that it has so much, it feels like it's my duty to restore it instead of remodeling it when I'm done with my thousands of miles left to go and travels. But it is like living in a jacuzzi tub/ time capsule. Lol.
Lov it 🌼
Thank you! 💛
i didnt know either.. well this looks like a step up from a backpack and tent
A huge step up! Set up and break down takes about 5-10 minutes. It's fantastic. I wish there were more of them!
Hi , you have a lovely place ! Love the kitty ! Stay safe out there ! Sending Love and prayers !
Thank you!!! 💛 I love that little turd of a cat with all my heart. I didn't want another cat after my previous one because I didn't think I could travel with a cat. Rupert has proved me wrong. He loves going for walks and he loves everything about this life except the travel days. He hates being in his crate in transit.
Love the camper brilliant video and looks so much fun to stay in bring us another video soon will look forward to it stay safe and enjoy
Thank you! 💛
It looks like a Burro! I had one of those for a couple of years in the early 1980's!
edit:After saying that I poked around a little and found that U-Haul made their own after looking at several other models. Apparently they liked the Burro so much they used much of its design cues in their own CT-13, having created their own molds mostly based on the Burro design..
Yes, Burro's were the closest design to the U-Haul and U-Haul took all of the designs and made a pretty neat little camper with a lot of reminiscence of the Burro. The seam runs the same way on the U-Haul like you could chop it in half. They were manufactured by Rec Vee World, which I believe was a subsidiary of U-Haul. If you look at the Scamps and Casita there is a top and a bottom where the seam runs... After I got this U-Haul, you start noticing other campers and I've definitely mistaken a Burro for a remodeled U-Haul.
neat! thanks! never knew uhaul made a camper!
I didn't either until I found it on FB Marketplace. I was looking for a Scamp and lucked out!
As a former U-Haul employee. I've seen all sorts of rental items. The CT is a first for me. Love It!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you! There are also around 50 of the 16ft CTs... They have a bathroom in them. One came up for sale shortly after I got this one, but I'm maxed out with my towing capacity with the 13ft.
What a great find
Thank you! It's been such a fun little camper!
Great video! Welcome back to UA-cam. Stay safe.
Thank you! I'll try to keep posting. 💛
Great find I didn't know Uhaul made camper.
I had no idea either until my search for a Scamp resulted in finding this.
This is fantastic. Slightly jealous.
Thank you! I still just as giddy about it as the day I got it! 💛
Now that I see this, I faintly remember seeing these little campers when I was a kid. I remember seeing them on the Uhaul lots. Man, these are cute little campers. Too bad they didn’t continue to make these little campers. You could tow these with a car! Definitely perfect for one or two people. A modern version of these would be great for people who are casual campers. With solar panels on top. And a potential outside shower, these could be planned out to even have a little bathroom in the floor plan. All kinds of cool ideas come to mind. 🤔🤔🤔
If I didn't have the cat, I eventually would have made the bunk area a dinette area. That way it would be fully functional inside without converting the bed area into a table. And the outdoor shower is a great idea. I wish they still made them, too! They are amazing!
@@tennesseewanderer I have two cats. So it would be hard for me too. To do any real conversions with the limited space. However, those without kids or pets could strip it down to the walls and do a brand new layout that makes the most use of every square inch. These are super cool for their size and weight. So many things you can do with them!
Yes! I don't foresee any major modifications for this one, but I do want to restore it as close to it's original condition when I'm done with the next few thousand miles.
@@tennesseewandererwell good luck and be safe out there!
@@DangerousDevilOfficial Thank you! 💛💛💛

U Haul campers must have been a rare thing. I've never heard of them either. If I did, it was so long ago that I had forgotten.
There's only about 2,000 of them floating around and privately owned. Most of them do not have the U-Haul decals and have been repainted/remodeled.

Thank you! I was actually searching for a Scamp and came across this one! I was lucky to find it and get my hands on it. I've lived out of it since November on this trip. I've got about 2 more months to go!
These little campers are so neat, I have one that I've remodeling now. Thanks for the video!!
Ah! So awesome! I'll be fully restoring mine when I get done driving it around the country another few thousand miles. I've lost the front windshield in New Mexico in 2019. I replaced it with plexiglass and haven't had too many leakage issues. So restoring the esthetics now seems a little counterintuitive. Best of luck with your remodel! Hope it turns out amazing!

What a great camper!
Thank you! I've definitely enjoyed the heck out of it. I've lived out of it for over a year all together in the last 4 years. I usually take 4-6 month road trips in it every year with the exception of 2021. I was recovering from unemployment and was in the process of saving my funds for the trip we are on now.
@@tennesseewanderer What's the height on the inside?
@@SandravsSlots It has 6 ft of clearance and standing room on the inside. I'm 5'4" and it is super cozy. The tiny door to get in and out can be tricky. I've lost count on how many times I've hit my head... that explains a lot 😂. The bed is just over 6 ft long as well. It's a full size bed and works great for Charlee (my dog), Rupert (my cat), and I. With a couple, it would probably be a pretty tight squeeze. But in the 80's whole families would camp in these little things. Haha
@@tennesseewanderer sounds like I'd be almost skimming the top since I'm 5'9", but I'd still like to get one.
P.S. Thanks so much for sharing, I want one of these now! 😊❤
Thank you! If you can't find one of these, any of the fiberglass campers are awesome! This one is just slightly unique. The comparable ones are Scamp, Casita, and Burro. @@tennesseewanderer I hear you, I'd be obsessed as well 😊. I've watched many videos on the Scamp & Casita, I love the Bambi but man $60k+ ?? I've never heard of Burro (?) so will check it out, thanks! @@tennesseewanderer You scored! 6k that's awesome! I just want to find something that's not gonna take my entire savings lol. I wish you the best of luck on this adventure! Originally I was going to convert my CR-V... When I found this little thing, I realized I didn't have to. Showed up in my feed. Love it. I like seeing the originals on it as well. Nice colours too!
Thank you! I just found out that I have a very Maximalistic style. Apparently it's trending? 🤷🏼♀️ I want to completely restore it when I'm done beating the heck out of it with a few thousand miles left to go. Very nice camper never know of Uhall having camper but it a treat for me to see so much original parts you kept. Beautiful
Thank you! It still needs a lot of work, but I'm out here beating it up on the road, so I'll wait until I'm done traveling on these cross country trips. We still have thousands of miles to go. 💛
Im sure your gas heater would oh been safe. Made for rentals it would have been carefully done. Renting to beginners they need to look at everything client could do wrong so make stuff idiot proof.
I leave mine on all night in frosts and it usually only needs to run 5-10 minutes an hour to hold it at 20 Cdeg
I'm sure you are right. At the time, an old propane heater seemed scary, but hindsight was 20/20. I have all of the parts still if I ever want to reinstall it. Where my USB ports are at the head and the foot of the bed used to be old metal ashtrays. My dad was careful not to put extra holes in the fiberglass where they didn't need to be. I'm sure down the road if I ever wanted to reinstall it, I could reconfigure the wiring for the solar and fuses to have easy access... I actually have a USB heating blanket for my cat and one for me for the bed. They work great!
@Tennessee Wanderer I wish I had a 'dad' . !! cos the vans shake around in travel there is always something needs a tweak. I seem to be getting a bit much duct tape in odd places. Grrr... it never fits the decor.
Your van is great. Happy travels.
The heated throws are amazing. And so cheap. $20 only uses 60W power!! I also have one..
Can you tell I'm a Sookie in winter and too mingy to pay for powered sites.
Thank you! I am so lucky to have my dad! He even picked up the trailer for me before I had a hitch and taught me how to drive with it once I got the hitch installed. I am blessed to have parents that fully support my dreams no matter how crazy they may seem. He spent the whole summer rewiring my camper before I took off on my first trip in 2019. It's not lost on me how fortunate that I am to have that support. I'm sure this U-Haul would be full of duct tape too if it weren't for my dad.💛
That heated USB throw has been an absolute lifesaver for both the cat and myself. I'm so glad you found one that works for you! I tried the Buddy heater in the camper and that's when I burned my cabinet. There's nowhere for me to safely use that in the camper. I can't set it on the counter and it won't fit on the stove with the hood fan. So the heating blanket has kept me super cozy on those extremely cold nights.
I can't justify having so much dedicated space for a cat in such a small camper, but that's just me. I think if I was living this life style I wouldn't bring any pets with me, again just me.
I completely understand your take on that. This lifestyle and the way I live it isn't for everyone. It makes me happy to have them with me. Anyone who has done any type of solo traveling whether it's van life, rv life, whatever you want to call it, is isolating and lonely. Having my pets when I travel is part of the joy for me. It's part of the reason I'm traveling the US this way instead of Europe, Ireland, and other countries to be honest. I could have had one kick ass trip to Europe with what I saved for this trip, but I want my animals with me. So everyone is different and has different needs. They bring me so much happiness, it's worth dealing with the inconveniences of living with them in a tiny space.
Who cares what you would do in her camper. That’s why it’s her camper.
💛🙏
I think the cat space might need a little work, but as for having a pet... well you must not be an animal person. Pets just make everything better. They bring so much love and joy. There is just nothing that can compare to sitting with your animal, open window listening to the rain, drinking coffee. They just bring peace like nothing else.
Your Uhual camper is just the cutest than I have ever seen. You have made it an adorable home.
Thank you! Someone called me a maximalist the other day. Apparently it's trending. I had no idea. Haha! I just wanted more color. I had it decorated so plainly before. This 80s baby deserves more than that, so I sassed her up a bit. Lol.
I never knew UHaul made a camper. Its so cute.
Thank you! It's so fun and perfect for my Honda CR-V to tow.
So cute! Safe travels.
Thank you! 💛
Wow this was awesome thank you so much for showing us your little U-Haul camper I didn't know existed.
Thank you! It's been so awesome to travel the country with! We've been living out of it since November! It's given me so many epic memories and forged new relationships with amazing people I've met along the way. I could not be more grateful for this opportunity and taking a risk. 💛
The Body Keeps The Score is a fantastic book. (38 second point) It's my favorite non-fiction book. Very helpful! Cool trailer also!
It's been a great book so far! I'm only 40 pages into it. So far it's brought a lot of clarity and understanding to this journey that I'm on. Thank you so much! I love this little thing so much. It's 80s nostalgia.
That little thing is amazing. You're dad did a fantastic job!
He really did! I wish the propane didn't scare me so much, because I'm sure it would have worked great! I still have it if I ever want to reconfigure the electrical and reinstall it. It was just the most convenient place for all of the wiring and fuses to go, but that thing really does have everything. I am soooo lucky to have my dad! He gave me so much more freedom while I'm out. I don't have a generator and the 50 watts works perfectly for my needs. I haven't been hooked up to electricity in a month and we are making it just fine with USB devices charging off the 50 watts. It doesn't take much to make me happy... The last 4 years of adventures with it has been awesome!
That was cool; I love the classic Tupperware. I remember seeing these in the 80s.
Thank you! I found these thrifting right before I bought the camper almost like it was meant to be. The large one makes the PERFECT trash can for this tiny space because I can just put the lid on it and not have any odor from it. It's also nostalgic with the whole 80's vibe.
That was a very cool video.😎
Thank you! 💛
Hi Ashey! Good to connect with another Tennessee gal who enjoys traveling. Your camper is cute! I had no idea that UHaul was ever in this business. The camper looks great. It was super helpful of your Dad to help.
Hi there! Thank you so much! It obviously needs some restoration and work, but it is an incredible little camper that after almost 40 years is holding up great! I've had so much fun with it! 💛 And my Dad's help for all of it has been invaluable. He's giving me much more freedom out here with the solar capabilities. Hope to see you down the road!
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Thank you for watching! I love these little campers! I wish there were more of them!
Great post. Splendid vintage camper!
Thank you! I'll restore it as close to it's original glory when I get done beating it up on the road. We've still got a few thousand miles to go. 💛
Omg. What an adorable camper!
Thank you! It's so much fun! 💛
This camper is so cool!
Thank you! It's so much fun to tour around the country with. 💛
That thing is sweet! You are very fortunate to have come across it.
I thank my lucky stars every night I get to fall asleep and wake up in it... I did realize how unique it was until after I got it home. It's been the perfect little home while I travel.
That’s a cool set up you got there and have fun out there on the road
Thank you! It's been so much fun over the last 4 years! 💛💛💛
Your camper is so cute and you and your dad did a great job fixing it up.
Thank you! 🤗
Very nice little camper. 👌
Thank you! 💛
Thank You for sharing. I wasn’t aware that Uhaul made campers! I’d love one of them! ❤
They are awesome! All of the little fiberglass campers are great! I was looking for a Scamp when I stumbled on this one.
I like how you did not change things everything is the way it should be love your tiny house I like older things thanks for the video
Thank you so much! I prefer antiques in their most original condition as well. I know I could easily make this look more modern and less cluttered, but it's not my style. It's quite nostalgic in here for me. I have quite the audience when I stay at paid campgrounds. I offered to do a camper tour for a couple and half of the campground came over to see. Haha... One of the campers from L.A. said he loved it and that I was a maximalist and it's trending right now. Who knew? Lol
