- With its solid build and versatile, vintage electronics platform, the S2 Standard 24 Satin is a true player’s guitar. The thin satin nitro finish gives this instrument a wonderful resonance and an open clarity that’s noticeable even unplugged. The solid mahogany body and set neck give this guitar a distinctive resonance and powerful sustain, and when mahogany’s rich, round, warm tone meets the Maryland, USA-made 58/15 LT pickups, there are plenty of clear highs and strong mids to be dialed in. The subtle aesthetic of mahogany and the vintage vibe of pickguard-mounted electronics give the S2 Standard 24 an understated look for players who prefer a stripped-down approach to their music.

@@ArcaneJarek lucky timing on sweetwater. They had ONE in the tobacco sunburst. Now it seems like they're selling as quick as they get them. Big shout out to my sweetwater guy for pulling that off though.

I like that the S2's now get USA-made pickups!
I think PRS realized (finally) that there was virtually no reason or appeal to get an S2 over an SE, and there was no reason to get an S2 as a bridge into the higher-end PRS guitars. American-made is the only thing it had going for it. Same electronics and hardware as the SE line, up until now of course.

I have an S2 Standard, but I like the new SE CE 24 better - and it's a lot cheaper. I play that one all the time, the S2 doesn't get a lot of attention.
I understand it's not easy to hit a price point, but these guitars should come with a HSC not gig bag.

I have an October 2023 model and have no idea how on earth it plays so bad….. lolololol makes me wanna cry almost, early 2 grand yet I gotta put in a ton of work to get it going nice🥲🤦🏻♂️
Should have waited 3 months for the model update with USA electronics
I have a 2017 one and it's a lemon. There are like 5 frets where the E strings roll right off the fretboard if I don't fret the notes absolutely perfectly. I really regret trading in my Mexican strat for it. My cheap guitars all get played more and frankly sound better
