I think Try should do a camping video so they can get the full authentic smore making experience.
And alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol
Exactly. You miss out on the marshmallow caramelization without roasting them.
TRY GOES OUTSIDE!!!
I second this! Authentic s’mores around a campfire, with all of them together in a nice campground! Much fun and merriment to be had!
YES!!!
“give 👏🏻 me 👏🏻 an 👏🏻open 👏🏻 flame 👏🏻”😂😂
Honestly this was so much fun! Ciara is an absolute delight!! ❤
You two had such great energy! Hope to see more you two paired up! 😊
I think we need to see a Pagan and Ciara drinking video...
OMG... Pagan, you and Ciara together... I can't handle that. You guys are hilarious together I can only imagine being around you both while drinking. I wouldn't be able to take it.
Yep, Ciara's a pyro. Visibly disappointed when she was told no fire.
You two were such a great pairing! 😊
While there is no such thing as a bad marshmallow, the caramelization that occurs when it is toasted or even set on fire, adds a whole different level of flavor, amazing!
Have you ever had peeps?
Absolutely right. That's a whole different flavor.
Campfires smell great on their own, but really, all you need is a gas stove. You can roast your marshmallow with a cooking fork over the open flame. Just eating a s'more is not really the point!
I'm living for the pure chaos energy from Pagan and Ciara. The whole sideways marshmallow exchange was hilarious.
I would like to dedicate my performance in this video to my friend Graham Cracker and his dad Andy S'morehol
What were you having? Nairn's oat cakes?....Tesco's are better. I stock up when I'm over
I always get a kick out of seeing you rockin those ENC shirts.
You missed the chance to do a "Try 5" with the little pot's hands
It must be a fun household you live in.
It should be dedicated to Digestive Cracker.
Something about a little char to the marshmallow makes the flavor so much better. The microwave version is good, but the campfire version is so much better.
It's the same for so much camping/grilled food. Hot dogs, burgers, smores. Open flame hitting it just makes it taste better.
Even alcohol tastes a little better with smoke in your eyes lol.
🏕🔥💯%😋
Exactly! The bitterness of the char is a staple ingredient in anything sweet. That's why we love barbecue burnt ends and chicken and chops! Also great on marshmallow!
You gotta blow out the flaming marshmallow to get that crunch
I have to set it on fire or it's not right.
OMG! This shoot was absolutely hilarious! Darren and Aidan made me laugh until I had tears running down my face! When Aidan shoved that whole thing in his mouth, I thought Darren was going to fall out of his chair he was laughing so hard. 😂😂😂
The unbridled joy in this video is why we watch.....that and torturing Dermot, someone get the peanut butter
Give them fun size candy bars for the s'mores rather than plain chocolate and Dermot gets the Butterfinger 😂
4:01
I've actually seen people use PB on s'mores. Not bad actually.
HoneyMaid Graham Crackers, Jet Puffed Marshmallows, and Hersheys chocolate, over a campfire. THOSE are s'mores.
I may have to fight you on this... Keebler are the superior graham crackers. 😆
Campfire marshmallows are better than jet puffed marshmallows, and they have to be roasted over an open fire.
This is the way.
Hmm. We all know that the chocolate can be any, even weird stuff like peanut butter cups or mint chocolate (my sister’s fave). I think what makes a s’more a “s’more”, even over the brand of marshmallow, is the graham cracker. Authentic, American graham crackers are what gives a s’more it’s distinct flavor. Otherwise, it’s just a chocolate and marshmallow cookie. I’ve seen very few, accurate s’more videos from people in other countries trying to make them. It’s not hard, people! Order them online. They’re light and travel well. Try a graham cracker with some apple juice. Reminds me of daycare when I was little.
Off brand graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate chips then melted in the microwave!
Figuring out how to put out a flaming marshmallow on a stick is a key part of the smores experience how can you deny them that.
Ah, you're one of those maniacs that lights your marshmallow on fire. It's called "roasting a marshmallow," not lighting a marshmallow on fire and putting it out, you heathen.
You use a Graham cracker and a Hershey bar.
Not gonna taste the same. Ye got a car park?
Swinging the stick around and turning the marshmallow into a flaming projectile is an important lesson to learn.
@@noname-wo8zp This is The Way
Ciara and Pagan's joy was contagious!!!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Both lovely ladies, with a great sense of humor. 😍🙇😏
My first thought was to be disappointed in the microwave thing because toasting the marshmallow is part of the whole experience. However, the joy of the Tryers won me over! This was a delight!
While obviously not the same, zapping them for a short while in the micro does work in a pinch. I have done it a few times.
Though my favorite method is to make a marshmallow "torch" burning it in the camp fire then making my s'more. The blackened outside, to me, tastes better added to the chocolate 🍫 and graham cracker. 🏕
I hate toasted marshmallows. Hot dogs are the only food that are better burnt.
GIVE CIARA THE OPEN FLAME!!!!
We wouldn't have seen the video but there would have been a lovely tribute I am sure.
What's the worse that could possibly happen? (Mrs O'Leary & the Chicago Fire, Nagasaki, Hiroshima?) Then again, maybe contact the Fire department and NATO 🤣🤣🤣
The disappointment with the microwaveable version instead of the open flame was hilarious. 😂❤ Like Kelly A. said, I didn’t think they could trust Ciara with 🔥.
the marshmallow roasted over a fire is so much better then a microwave there is a major taste difference
@@Ladyfire745 I agree. Love the toasted/slightly burnt marshmallow mixed with everything. 😋
@@Ladyfire745 Exactly.👍
@@Aqua_Metztli_Janusnot even burned, but the crispy-ish outside texture contrasting with the soft inside...the microwave can't achieve that
Ah no she can be destructive.
Omg. Seriously, can't remember last time I saw three PERFECT pairings in the same episode like this!! Love it!
This had actually been the most delightful video to watch. It's like everyone regressed back to their childhood.🍫🍫🍫
I need a pic of how big Colin's smile was when he came up with Andy S'morehol!
😁😁😁
I expected nothing less from the punmaster
had to rewind it and still couldn't help laughing again on the replay.
That perfect cut away tho.
That was great. It was also a real S'moregasbord of dessert!
Someone needs to send them real graham crackers.
Been an Illinois native my whole life and I've always called them graham crackers. Never gram crackers.
Well the advantage to using the digestive is that you won't eat too many of those s'mores.
@@NotKev2017also illinoisan here, but I’ve only ever heard it said gram
@@Amehttajust a couple hours north in WI, and I’ve only heard and used gram. (One syllable). Same for crayons, they are “crans”. LoL
The real question is, which side do you butter the graham cracker on? As the saying goes, "There are two kinds of people in the world."
When that lady started pounding the table and chanted "bring me the open flame!" I was like ... ummmmmm ... bring everyone BUT her the open flame.
“I knew the day would come to give me the open flame,” a woman after my own heart. I am a certified welder, and I bloody love Fire I also love s’mores
It's all fun and games until you drop your marshmallow into the flames.
You can't microwave a s'more and get good results! You need an open flame to caramelize the outside of the marshmallow. You can't skip that step.
Agreed! 👏🏻
Slightly charred is the best flavor.
ABSOLUTELY! Char is necessary! And don't forget the obligatory flaming marshmallow meteor, too!!
But the microwave does a better job of getting the chocolate gooey. Many times I've been camping where it's cold enough that the chocolate is rock hard and it makes it difficult to eat. I'd call it a decent trade-off. But, 90% of the fun of making them is roasting the marshmallows.
My brother preferred the outside of his marshmallows absolutely burned. Matter of fact, if he was just doing marshmallows, he'd set his on fire, blow it out, pull off and eat the charred skin, then put the remainder back in the fire, repeat until gone. If the marshmallow isn't golden (or darker) and slightly smoky, it just isn't a s'mores.
Why not use a Chef's blow torch to cook the marshmallow? They're safe to use indoors.
Nothing is safe in Ciara's hands.
Same with a stove lol I've used regular burners to light a marshmallow on fire before 😬
in a pinch use a cigarette lighter, or a match if you are really despirate
@@Firedog-ny3cq We don't know that for sure unless we TRY it.
This just makes me want to gather up the supplies, fly on over, and help you guys make the s’mores as intended. I would also have to try your version to see just how they came out. I don’t know which is better, but I do know that the two are different.
I had a S'mores party for my high school graduation. These were the faves: 1. Classic hersheys and marshmallow. 2. Marshmallow and reese's peanut butter cup. 3. cooking a marshmallow and a piece of pineapple together on a stick over the fire! and then adding a piece of white chocolate. I wish you could have tried those! This vid made me so happy.
I do love how Try hasn't broken Pagan yet and she's still so full of positivity and excitement about everything 😂
NO Durian yet.
@@thecocktailian2091That's what I was going to say. That and the gross shots. 😊
Pagan with Callyann would be maximum positivity x1000
I need an authentic camping episode with all the fixins!! Have them make Hobo Dinners (seriously easy to make and amazing!!) and Smores over an open fire!!
And pudgy pies!
“Oh shit, that went in my blazer” and “I’m stickier than a Friday night” about killed me😆😂
The Try teams needs another US trip and authentic S'mores must be made. They're sooo yummy
Aiden's an absolute legend, what a mad man.
"Andy S'morhol" is one for the ages 👏
Shout-out to Andy S'morehol. I love his stuff. 😂
Yeah his work is sweet 😂👌🏻
As an American kid in the early 70s, these were made at any bonfire in the spring to summer, not just for camping. Whether for family reunions, 4th of July, neighborhood get togethers,,,, if you had a bonfire, someone brought the s'more fixings. And you always got green tree branches and whittled a point at one end with a pocket knife to stick the marshmallow on. I guess most everyone did this in the US at least once during the year.
Ciara, did you really think they'd entrust you with an open flame after what you did to the table? 😊🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪
When you know, You know.
Oh man I forgot about that. I have to watch that again.
People you shouldn't trust with knives would shouldn't trust with open flame.
@@3DJapan please share link
Next attempt, take it outside with a real campfire:
S’mores + Open Flame + Whisky = 2 million followers
I second this!! And they should try different chocolate fillings too.
Yeah, this idea is without flaw.
This is a perfect idea with no risks and all rewards!!!
Now you need to try different varieties! Using soft chocolate chip cookies with a marshmallow between instead of graham crackers and chocolate and using caramel filled chocolate instead of plain chocolate are two of my favorite variations. I also love S'mores cones, but you definitely need a campfire for those!
This was fun! A NEW SERIES: Eating Messy Foods! 😊
I love that each of them seemed to be channeling their own inner chaotic self through this shoot! And nary a drop of alcohol to be seen 😆
Many years ago I worked at a coffee shop that had actual s'more making with a little Sterno burner for an open flame, marshmallows, Hershey bars, graham crackers, and skewers to roast the marshmallows on.
I ate at one of those Korean BBQ places that has the grill built into the table and they had s'mores for dessert. It was fun.
Guess I'll never eat another s'mores... Hershey went woke, gunna go broke!
@@tamijoiskewl These days, all you gotta do to run a hot ad campaign is put a trans person's face on your product and sit back while mobs of howling losers put your brand all over the news for weeks at a time. Good to see allies like yourself stepping up to help out :D
I very much enjoy how each of these people grows on one over time.
If you're gonna do a s'more indoors, toaster oven >>>> microwave. The golden brown shell on the marshmallow is critically fundamental (and the experience of having to constantly toe the line between that and the marshmallow abruptly turning into a charred ball of flames equally so lol)
Darren and Aidan absolutely made my day! Thank you for the belly laughs!
When they gave the box to Ciara, I was sure she was going to pull out a lighter and set it on fire.😂
Tears from laughing so hard! Aiden sent me over the top. Great video, too bad you didn’t have the smokey marshmallow experience. That burned sugar is yummy and more fun when the marshmallow catches on fire 🔥
The pure joy in this video makes up for the microwave s'mores. Part 2 for a complete open fire experience? I can just imagine how much everyone will enjoy it.
Aidan: It feels like it's everywhere in my body.
Darren: Yeah....it's really weird. It feels like it's in my body as well.
😂😂
"It COULD be".. - top level homoeroticism right there...
The "Schmorhole" pun was amazing. Fun fact: Here in Denmark we have a term "smørhullet" which means to be snug in a good and very comfortable place or the hole for the butter on top of warm rice pudding (with lots of cinnamonsugar on top as well). And yay for Lolsy! 😀
"I'm stickier than a Friday night.." I snorted 😂
Yep agree, totally need a flame to golden or blacken even the marshmallow for a REAL S'More experience, that toasted bit is key!
Just when I think I can’t love Ciara more than I already do 😂😂 she’s so fun!
LoL I made s'mores with Paddy and Paul at a Superbowl party and Paddy wasn't paying attention to his marshmallow...it was completely set on fire and I just happened to get a pic of it while it was a big ball of flames in the background 😂
I just posted the picture in the official fb fan group 😂
@@elementalchick407 That's generally how s'mores are made. big cubes of sugar and gelatin and fire do not mix terribly well.
Everyone in the video is missing out. If they can afford thousand dollar bottles of whiskey, they can afford a trek to the nearest park to build a campfire!
I would love to see a second part to this video. Crazy s'mores recipes. I'm all for that.
It's fun to watch Ciara flipping the marshmallow coated arms around making even more of a mess ... and ... cut to Lolsy with kitchen paper scrubbing the table ... 😁
Finally, American food that actually looks the way it's supposed to. You guys are missing the carmelized outer layer of roasted marshmallows, but it's the goo and stickiness that makes s'mores incredible
Aidan did the same thing any toddler will do with sweets. Adorable!
Oh my Gosh, Lolsy's excitement level in this video was so wholesome and a joy to watch. As an American, I grew up making s'mores and never considered it anything special. Watching the TRYers enjoying themselves was awesome.
You gotta burn the marshmallows to really get that smores taste! I love the way everyone turned into a kid right from the get-go!😊
My God, someone actually was a sloppier eater than Darren! Aidan was awesome! Ciara was ridiculous, thank goodness Pagan made more sense whilst enjoying herself. Lolsy and Justine were their usual awesome selves. This was a fun video that ended way too soon.
Agree with you, I'm not a big Ciara fan. Pagan is lovely.
They could take a trip to America, but they couldn't take a trip to a park to cook some s'mores? Love you guys anyway.
Or just use an oven. Or buy a small BBQ and set it up in the parking lot of their studio 🤷♂️
Well, they were southern Florida, so I can only assume that if they made a foray into any wilderness whatsoever they would have been killed and eaten by alligators and/or Burmese pythons.
@@Brasc Or meth-heads or Ron Desantis (which may be redundant).
They also couldn't get real Graham crackers...
@@eriksand9262 BBQ in the parking lot, yes. But have you ever put s'mores in an oven? Either way, microwave s'mores aren't going to taste the same as s'mores cooked over fire.
A good winter treat. For the summer I like taking a waffle ice cream cone, filling it with chocolate and marshmallow, wrapping it in foil, and popping it on a grill.
"I knew the day would come! Give me the open flame!"
Laughing from the start! Great vid!
I was hoping they'd break out a Bunsen burner to toast the marshmallows. The best part of making s'mores is always accidentally burning the first ten marshmallows, dropping half of them into the fire, then arguing with all of your friends about whether your marshmallow should be toasted golden brown, dark brown and bubbly, or lit on fire until it turns black.
I could see how open flame in an official office setting would be a nightmare, depending on their building contract. Wish they would have done it outside or something.
Can't make a smore without burning a few marshmallows
A Bunsen burner is safe and controllable. If children in school can be trusted with them, surely adults can be.
'murica.
the burnt marshmallow is the best part!
Definitely need to try them with proper graham crackers and hershey’s chocolate. I know EU folks don’t normally like hershey’s, but the more bitter flavor works way better with the sweet marshmallows
I love all of the try folk, they're so excited for something so simple as a smore haha
having the chocolate and marshmallow together actually helps the chocolate to melt bc the sugar in the marshmallow gets to a higher temp faster (as well as the surface area created when the marshmallow expands due to the heat). that's why the chocolate on its own biscuit didn't melt.
Give him a prize for stuffing the whole thing at once 😂❤
If you are going to do a double-decker s’more, you have to put the chocolate directly under the marshmallow, not separate it with a cracker. The heat from the melted marshmallow melts the chocolate.
Aidan ate his s'more like it was a true camping experience. When we go camping we'll toast the marshmallow, put it between the cracker with the chocolate and then squeeze the whole thing and toast it over the campfire. It makes the graham cracker toasted and warm.
These people make me smile
If you put the marshmallow under your broiler for a couple minutes than turn it over put the chocolate it on it for just a minute. You will get a closer version of the campfire version, especially if you have a gas oven.
I LOVED this video! It is best with an actual flame, but you made due with what you've got. I'm happy everyone got to experience a s'more and some for the first time even. The excitement was so real, contagious and so genuine, makes me feel like I take the whole s'more thing for granted, never again! I hope there will be a part two of this with the other cast members...please!
Y’all were absolutely hysterical! I wish you could have toasted the marshmallows because that toasted flavor is part of what makes a S’more so great
Aidan shoving the whole thing in his mouth is all of our spirit animals!
The perfect name for this without roasting the marshmallows over a campfire was
the Millennium S'more
It was sooo good to see everybody having fun and laughing.
I laughed at this video more than the past few, wonderful to watch the silliness and laughter!
I love to make mine with premium dark chocolate 🍫 and biscoff. Next level. Don't see myself making some at home. It's more of a campfire thing, chilly weather, hot cocoa. Makes it special. Requires a special skill to brown the marshmallow without catching it on fire 🔥.
The fun and laughs about the messiness of s’mores had me smiling so big.
Need a comparison video with Hershey's vs. European chocolate in S'mores. I suspect that Hershey's might be better for this purpose because it's naturally wax-like consistency might hold up better to the heat from a flaming marshmallow.
I'm glad that you have been introduced to the wonders of Smores. Hopefully you'll be able to eat one from a flame because a little char on the marshmallow or a lot of char for some makes it at least 3 times better.
I needed this. Fantastic episode. Camping trip!
I'm a 65 year old native NYer, never heard anyone say "Gram" for Graham here.
Is it perhaps more of a Southern thing? I'm from Maryland and my family's always said "gram cracker."
I’m born and raised in Seattle. I have always said gram cracker.
What? From the North to the South to the East to the West, the entire country says "Gram". Pronouncing the "h" is just too fancy and European. That ain't us!
They’re better if you let your marshmallows catch fire and burn a little! Yum!
This vid had me smiling the whole time. What an absolute joy!
Another "American" tip for you all, which is much messier and SO much more lovely... skip the graham crackers and chocolate. 😁 Just use warm marshmallows with Keebler "Fudge Stripe" cookies...! (If you can get them in Ireland.) Save a step, but still get all the joy...! Another great shoot...! 😍
Smores are great but changing out the normal chocolate for a Reeses Cup is the pro move
Or switching the graham cracker for peanut butter cookies.
@@KireaPhillips_superj0ka If you're trying variations, I have just one word for you : Peeps 🐤
Try it with a mounds bar or an Andes mint! It's so good
❤ next level! Do please take us with you for an outdoor campfire, because the roasting of the marshmallow is very 👍 nice too. But you nailed the gooey!
Another great fun video love everyone at Try. Cant believe no one tried extra chocolate on top so it would melt around the smore its fantastic.
Just imaging Colin's voice cracking yelling "BANANA, BANANA!!!!!" 💯😆🇮🇪
Here I am laughing so hard from everyone, praising Pagan and Ciara for being a perfect duo here and then this happens 7:11 and I died.
The only thing disappointing about this video was that it ended way too soon!
You should have every tryer do this S'more creation process! Make it happen folks!
So happy!
The crispy caramelization on the outside of the marshmallow is crucial to the flavor!!!!
And the smoky flavor of the campfire!
A microwave can not do it justice!
I'd love to see the crew making them around a fire pit or camp fire, but I would be worried about Ciara flinging flaming marshmallow waving the stick around.
The more I see Justine, the more I think she's perfect.
Their faces at the thought of just making them. It was so lovely! You really need the little fire though. I agree about a camping experience.
The novelty of a smore is cooking them on a fire outside while camping or a bbq. People usually don't make them just to eat them. It's the experience that makes them fun and enjoyable.
You guys need to have an "Irish people go camping" video.
S'mores are literally the only thing in the world on which Hershey's chocolate is not disgusting. Its perfect for s'mores.
YUP. A must have when camping. I have made them in the oven at home BUT we save them for camping because it is what the children want whenever we say "We're going camping". They immediately say "Mom, we have to have s'mores"!
I didn't notice it at first but I have to say the best line was Justine's "I'm stickier than a Friday night."
