My recollection of a drink I could eat was around christmas when my mother would pour 151 Ron Rico Rum over a slice of fruit cake and wait till the cake absorbed the rum. Then she would set it aflame and blow it out after a couple of seconds, just to warm the cake, then serve. I only got one serving. Good times.
Back in the '70s we had a Hickory Farms shop in the mall that sold hard candies with booze flavors. As I recall, they were Sloe Gin Fizz, Martini, Whiskey Sour, & Daiquiri. No alcohol, but they sure tasted good!

The only thing I've tried like this is deep fried tequila. You'll find directions on UA-cam, cut up angel food cake into cubes, soak them in a plate with a lip with some tequila poured in, then toss them in a deep fryer. They retain much more alcohol than you would think and the angel food cake becomes unnoticeable.

I've heard of cocktail popsicles/ice cream, but I've never heard of cocktail candy...unless I was making my own with gummy bears and my freezer/fridge 😂

I don't know about wanting a gummy version of a cocktail instead of actually drinking an well crafted and balanced adult beverage. I have had a hard candy with a syrupy liquor center before. I was not prepared for the boozy syrup filling and nearly choke on it when I bit through the hard candy shell. Not sure how many horse power the candy was, but pretty sure if you ate four or five of them you would be buzzed.
Do they dissolve in water? Could be useful as a highly portable cocktail concept - just add water and you have an instant cocktail. You, could, for example, take them camping.
My hopes were dashed when I realized they were trying alcohol, not THC edibles, because cannabis is still verboten in Ireland. Hopefully, it will be legal soon for what could possibly be the greatest thing ever: Edible THC Advent Calendars.
Reasons why you want an edible (vs liquid) cocktail: 1) You can bring it into a sports game; 2) you can put it in your pocket and eat at anytime; 3) you can keep it in a hiding place, and eat it when you want to later (school, home, car, bicycle, bathroom, etc); 4) visiting your parents, etc.
My favorite thing to do is buy a couple bags of gummy bears and you put them in a jar(with a lid) and pour vodka or rum over them and put in the fridge for about a week. The gummies suck in all the alcohol and are not super sweet. I think when I measured it it was about 2 to 3 shots of rum/vodka for 2, 7 oz bags of gummies. We've been doing the gummie cola bottles with flavored rums lately too. Lol
figured it out the jello version you could place in a jar with the real drink and let sit for 3 days to week , alot people are placing things with drink in jars like sweets and so on..

I feel like mojitos would actually work really well. Rum is sugar cane, so the sweetness makes sense, and mint is common in candies, same with lime.
