    This seems like the simplest haircare routine you have talked about yet. I love that you use OGX shampoo. I LOVE that stuff. I use the one in the bronze bottle which is for brazilian treated hair. I haven't felt my hair as soft as I do with that shampoo. You say that sleeping on wet hair is something that is horrible for your hair but you have a hard time stopping. It has never occurred to me to sleep on wet hair. I always blow dry and flat iron my hair after I wash it. I have been able to stretch my washes to once a week. Despite all of the horrible things I have done to my hair over the years, sleeping on it wet and washing it only once a week are two things that have actually been helping my hair to have less damage. About 9 months ago a drastically cut my hair from almost BSL to shoulder length because of all the damage I had done. I was Japanese straightening my hair for a very long time and the damage caught up to me. Now I just use brazilian straightening on my hair. It is significantly less damaging and my hair has thanked me by not being nearly as dry and brittle as it was before. Also I go back to the salon and get trims once very three months. In fact I have an appointment with my stylist this weekend. My hair has grown about 2-3 inches since the major cut. I would love to have my hair as long as yours but my hair grows very slowly. I had thought my hair would be that long when I was in high school and it only got to about 2 inches or so above BSL. I'm hoping now that I have rest the clock on my hair that it will be able to grow as long as yours in the near future.

    Other Tips: sleep on a satin/silk finish pillowcase to avoid breakage, its great if you toss ad turn a lot. Detangle hair while it has conditioner in it with a wide tooth comb starting from the bottom up to reduce snagging and hair loss. Do a weekly deep condition treatment; you can DIY one with coconut oil, honey, an egg, and (optional) either yogurt or mayo or avocado :)

    I might have to try that shampoo brush. I've been shaving my head for a year and I'm starting to grow it out, and I bet that it would feel amazing on a bare head like mine!

    I have a non-vibrating scalp massaging brush, lol, and love it. It feels like it cleans better than fingers and the nail polish saving bit is great. I don't know if I have too much hair or what but the sock bun method does not work to even remotely curl my hair, grr. Maybe I'll try a few smaller ones, haha.

    I was always told not to sleep with wet hair because you'll get sick! For me it's almost always true. Interesting to see how everyone is different- though my hair is very thick and curly and will stay wet all night, so I'm sure that doesn't help.

    I agree about Batiste. I'm glad they don't use aluminum anymore. I just think that can't be good for anyone's scalp. They say the body can handle processing out a certain amount of it, but if it's not good why bother? I only use aluminum deodorants for special occasions and do just fine too! TMI? lol

    I've been growing out my hair for years and your videos always make me feel so motivated to keep at it. 💜 does that shampoo brush make your hair tangled?

    aw, i had fragile, online like nails, they will get scaled and peel of in layers... the one thing that help was a non toxic nail vitamin and formaldehyde. i swear they grew over night and don't break anymore!

    Hello!!!! I love your channel and it's nice to see someone with similar hair! I have long hair as well and your routine is almost the exact same as mine :) how often do you trim/cut your hair? I don't die or use heat on my long locks but my hairdresser is always trying to get me to come in every 8 weeks when I feel as though nothing changes. Like yourself, I keep my hair in healthy condition so I don't see the point going so regularly. What do you do or think? 💜

    Really intrigued by the massage device!
    Also, do OGX shampoos contain silicones? I would like to order a bottle of shampoo online, because they´re unavailable where I live, but my hair isn´t really liking silicones, at least not the heavy ones :/

    I actually started using Ogx because you (and others) praised it so much. I use the Biotin&Collagen Shampoo and the Sea Mineral Conditioner, which I really like!
    I have never heard of such a shampoo massage thingy! Will you review it properly once you've been using it for a while?

      The shampoo you are using contains silicon (OGX shampoo)
      Dimethicone and amodimethicone both are heavy
      It also contains sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate, which is equal to SLS

    • @Lamaspucke
      @Lamaspucke 8 років тому +3

      +Al N I know, I can read the bottle :D
      Shampoos without some kind of sulfate really struggle to get oil masks out of my hair, and I don't mind silicones at all, especially since I don't wash my hair very often. Silicones and SLS are not the devil, some do make the conscious decision to use them.

    Lucy, please please recommend something for dandruff. I feel like all my hair care is useless till I get rid of it! ):
    Also, do you use any hair masks/leave in conditioners?

      +Rhiannon Hetty +Haley J Hair gets damaged more easily when it's wet, and as I toss and turn a lot in my sleep I tend to cause a lot of split ends when sleeping on my wet hair because I'm just not gentle with it at all

    How do you find Lush beauty products?

    • @FrozenUSA
      @FrozenUSA 8 років тому

      +Noblebird02 I will let her tell you in greater detail, but a few years ago she was asked to review the Lush beauty shampoo bar. At first she loved it and highly recommended it. Several months later she was complaining about her hair falling out in clumps and losing about half her thickness. After doing extensive research she found out there was some sort of ingredient in the Lush beauty shampoo bar that was causing her hair to fall out. She was quite upset about it and even filmed a video asking people if they know of any all-natural ways of restoring thickness to hair. I don't think she would be recommending Lush beauty products to her followers anytime soon.

    make sure to keep your bun very loose when you sleep with it otherwise it will break off parts of your hair, especially at the front and you'll end up with shorter pieces. that's what happens to me anyway haha
