Awesome, thanks for this video. Would have loved this more if the formula you listed can be seeded in a screener app and we can get a list of such bonds/funds, would have saved a lot of time to analyse them separately
these guys are really making a good content so pls hit that like button.
Thank you!
You guys are just awesome, I was feeling lost in terms of investment and now I feel like I can start somewhere. I really hope you guys make more such videos in the future. LUCKY!
I didn't become financially independent till I was in my mid 40s after having a major financial setback during the covid , Thank God i'm now on my feet . In addition to buying my second house, I'm also making money on a monthly basis through passive income, and I've also met some of my goals. I really hope this motivates someone to know that it doesn't matter if you don't have any of these things yet; no matter your age, you can start today. Investing can help you change your future!
Tell us where u have invested money to become financial free
These are bots bruh.
Thank you for sharing the detailed information and steps to consider and choose MF bonds and or GILT Funds. Amazing as always and very interesting from the layman’s perspective. 👍
Hey Prateek, I have been following you for quite sometime. Really like the way you are decoding the principles of investing in various instruments. I like this video where you explained how to select a debt fund.
The one missing piece, I have found here, or you may come up with another video, when to invest in debt funds for different categories of investors and how much allocations should go in debt funds basis the market cycle. Would love your guidance on this aspect also.
Do we get monthly payout option in debt mutual funds like in FDs ?
So, if someone invests 100000, then the average total return could be 109590 in 3 years ?
One year
This is an easy and useful analysis for people like me who come form non-financial backgrounds. Thanks
yes it was boring 😊
Thank you sir
Looking forward to the deepdive video on bonds
Invest in short term funds for good liquidity.1,2,3 yrs for 8 to 10 % returns.Reinvest yr profits in 1 year RD.After one yr take out RD amt and put in FD or debt mutual fund.
We have many websites to check the parameters of the funds but what is the good platform to start debt fund investment? Pls suggest some to start. I see many of the platforms are promoting equity funds more than debt funds.
Can you make a video abt coperate bonds I heard about them
Short reply: avoid them
This guy used to be primary school teacher 😂😂
If I see his explaining skills
give us a list...that would be helpful
It was quite informative. However, it would be helpful if you could provide brief to the terms and terminologies used related to mutual fund like that of profile rating, scores, etc. Before validating them, we should have an idea about them too.
Thank you for bringing out such videos, it is quite helpful for people like me. Keep posting :)
One quick question
You said that debt MF has fixed returns then why We should check Rolling returns?
All in all good video... Just last part with suggesting Gilt funds are safest doesn't give the clear picture. Gilt funds can also give negative returns in cumulative weeks, months sometimes. It all depends on the interest rate scenario in the market. New investors can get confused on negative returns with debt funds. Please give clear picture before making a suggestion.
Could you also do another video explaining with examples about all the other important ‘ratio’ parameters shown at the end of the video. No other channel even mentioned about those ratios so that would be a great topic. Liked and subscribed. 👍
sir pls create a video, should we invest in platform like zerodha, groww or direct through AMC?
AAA credit rating is the highest so average credit quality can never be greater than AAA. Please correct that.
The video is good. Please follow-up with a video where you analyze specific categories like Liquid, ST, Medium term, Long term, Gilt funds etc and come up with how many and which all meet the investment criteria.
Waiting for that.
Put your theory into practice and show us the results.
advisor khoj doesnt show rolling returns anymore
Nice one✌️
New branding and all ha 😂
Haha yeah Elton :)
Who will speak about modified duration bro?
thx bro....that was definitely useful. need more of these on bonds.
You got it!
Good Info. But I yawned twice during the video
you did not explain about tax implication on the debt mutual funds
indeeed interesting, would want to know the other parameters as well... thank you
Absolutely Not boring sir
Thanks for Vid. found interesting learning. Can we invest anytime in this, or do we have to wait for release date
Its interesting and got decent clarity about debt
This was amazing, you explained it so so so so well
How about taxation on returns ? is it same for NRi?
Awesome content as always. Yes please do a full deep dive video on Bonds and how it works - Thanks Sir

With due regard to interest rate cycle please select appropriate duration of debt fund for 1,3:5 year investment
Thanks for detailed info... Expecting more detailed in depth video on best debt mutual funds for 2024....👏👏👏👍👍👍
It was really engaging... would like to watch more detailed information on debt mutual funds.
🔥🔥🔥💯
i am yet to add debt fund to portfolio... but still not sure how much fund to add and y to add it..
everyone says to "cushion" the loss when economy is down.. but doesn't in the long term(10yr) generally any invest is good ?
Hey, It is better to have multiple asset classes due to their strengths. However, like you said, in the long term aren't all investments good?
Well, that is an educated guess - But what if some disaster or calamity occurs? We are basically just being more safer by diversifying our investments :)
It's never boring listening to you 😊. But its a lot to remember.
Please use dark marker to write
1. Was the returns were adjusted after the expense ratio. Or from the returns we have to deduct 0.83% TER?
2. Pls also explain on the taxation part of it. Eventually it's only after paying the taxes, investors would get the effective returns.
Returns are adjusted and the tax part is very big to explain, maybe another video?
very useful for beginners. thank you
Woah Editing is damn good
Your content is great- very engaging and easy to understand. Could you please do a deep dive into debt funds. It will be much appreciated 🙏
Very captivating 👍👍
Want to learn abt short term
I alway like to see these kind of deep analysis and guide to personal finance. Financial advisors rarely share their tricks and Calculations to Aam admi. Kudos to you ❤. I love to do my own math and research before simply trusting any influencer. I want to see more such type of contants.
Keep em coming!
please cover more details
Deep dive video please
This was good, please make a detailed video on this.
we need more videos like this
On it 🎯
Best is to invest in Bank FD or Post office deposits. Stock market investment returns mostly rely on uncontrollables including luck. Also, in 2023, taking past 3 years return for any calculation could be incorrect. Reason - Most stocks, post covid slump in March 2020, have returned and grown leaps and bounds.
10yrs return is ok for you??
Do long term and be consistent. If u want money to grow money take risk and how you manage it.
Rolling returns for debt fund 😮
Gilt fund k upar ek video pplz
its quite interesting .
Very Interesting
Does this framework only work for medium term debt mutual funds?
No framework works for all types
Useful indeed!
Very interesting
Great

Interesting. Mind opening
howw to invest in govt. of India ?
You can invest in companies that have high government stake. Search for President of India's portfolio and you will find such companies. But at the same time, isn't investing in any company that's bringing a positive change in the economy also patriotic in its own way?
Nice explanation
It was really good. I want to know more about YTM and modified duration. In general, what i want to understand is can the debt fund returns be predicable like a FD? Also, when should you invest in short term or medium term since interest rates going up or down is a factor as well. which did not talk about.
Debt funds are somewhat predictable but there can be some small changes and interest rate and bond price relationship is again too big to explain. Maybe one more video?
@@PrateekSinghLearnApp Please do make one, so we learn how to do a good guess of expected returns. Thanks. I was surprised that you read and replied to my question :)
Please put some light on Nidhi banks
Hey we haven't analyzed the company, so no opinion :)
@@PrateekSinghLearnApp actually it's banklike where 5 to 7 members come together and form it... It's very popular in South India...
