    Hello Kathy! I just found your channel this morning and I'm so glad I did. We recently bought an airfryer and I truly had no idea you could cook/bake so many different things. I'm beyond excited to try some of the receipes you've shared in previous videos as well as these super fast and easy ideas from Costco foods. As a side note since we discovered the Bare Chicken nuggets at Costco they have become a staple for us as my 10yr old son loves them and he thinks they taste like Chick-fil-A nuggets!! Thank you so much for making these amazing and very helpful videos, especially for those of us that are brand new airfryer users! 😊

    I had a dinner party last evening and I air fried some frozen o’dourvs and wowed my guests on how quick I went from freezer to serving without heating up the place
    In less than 12 minutes. I also made corn bread earlier in the day and it turned out great (I used my probe thermometer and a much lower temp on the fryer)
    Kathy, I love all your videos because you treat your audience with respect, humor, and share important information. I feel like you really want me to know how to use an air fryer, and I appreciate it.

    I also have a Cosori 5.8qt air fryer. When I cook anything gooey (i.e. cheese), I always put down parchment and a single layer of tinfoil for easy cleanup. If you don't want to use tinfoil, then a small silicone mat will work.

    I put small halved potatoes to weigh down the corners of the parchment paper. The potatoes can be eaten as a side to the meal I'm cooking, or they're good to make ahead for breakfast hashbrowns.

    To keep the parchment paper in place while cooking, I picked up some small dime size magnets at the hardware and put on on each corner. They work great and the parchment paper keeps them from scratching the none stick surface. Just remember they are hot and use tongs to take them out.

    • @VeldaE12
      @VeldaE12 2 роки тому +3

      Ok, I did some research today, as I was planning to order some magnets to use in air fryer. It’s important to know, Do Not use Neodynium magnets in heat, anywhere! Heat over 80° C or 176° F, will quickly degrade the magnetism, making them useless. The magnets that can be used are Ferrite or Samarium Cobalt magnets. I’ll be doing further study because I still think using a magnet on parchment is genius. In addition, ceramic magnets can not take heat over 250 C or 482° F. So appears Ceramic might work, but be careful. Ferrite are the most recommended I found for use in heated places.

    I LOVE THE JUST BARE CHICKEN!!! I like the filets best. When I went to get more, they were no longer there. I nearly cried. I couldn’t find them at all between Christmas and Easter, I checked at least 3 stores around town. I even posted on NextDoor asking people to keep an eye out for them.
    I had to get by with the Just Bare strips from Sam’s Club; they were also good. Not as good, but good enough and way better than the Kroger, Meijer, or Tyson strips.
    Finally a few weeks ago the Just Bare filets appeared again at my local Costco - I bought 4 bags! That was after I’d already been to Sam’s Club and bought 3 bags of the strips 😅. Both the cashier at Costco, and another customer who saw them in my cart in the parking lot, told me their kids loved the Just Bare nuggets. (I had tried them some months ago and they are good, but I still love the filets most.)
    It might be sacrilege to say so, but they also come out pretty well in the microwave.
    If you go to Sam’s Club, check out their Mesquite grilled chicken breasts. Boneless, skinless, and unbreaded for fewer carbs and fat.

    After watching this video I added some "precooked" stuff like eggrolls to my grocery list. I am starting to love my AF after watching your "training" videos. I make all my own waffles & pancakes and freeze them for later use. WAY easier. So my next waffle breakfast will be an AF breakfast. The little 2 qt Dash I was given is only 1000 watts.. I'm thinking I need one like you have. It seems like it takes forever to cook crispy chicken legs.

    Have you tried the Don Miguel Mini Chicken & Cheese tacos from Costco? They are a great quick snack in the air fryer. Using parchment paper in my air fryer is a must. Well yeah I grabbed it up quick and been using it for a week now and all I can say is WOW 😳 the Hot pockets came out nice and crisp on the outside and hot on the inside no blobbing or anything like that and I even tried back Bacon so yummy 😋 it was way better than cooking it in a frying pan, and even made some chocolate chip cookies in it just 😋

    2) Would you also be able to cook Bibigo Asian Chicken Dumplings & Bibigo Beef Dumplings from Costco in the air fryer?
    3) I don’t know what state you are in, but I’m from NJ and my favorite breakfast sandwich, which happens to be exclusive to NJ , is the Taylor Ham ( or Pork Roll) , egg & cheese sandwich on either a roll or toasted English muffin. Is there anyway to make this in the air fryer? If pork roll is available in your area, I recommend either John Taylor’s Pork Roll or Case’s Tangy Pork Roll for this.

    Such a coincidence I came across this tonight! Hubby bought the box of frozen Chicken Bakes at Costco yesterday…the ones they sell hot at their food court. No instructions for cooking something frozen & as big as they are. I just guessed temp/time. Preheated. Cook Temp at 350, time about 6 mins.. Sprayed one side lightly (I see now I didn’t need to) and the outside got almost too crispy before the frozen chicken inside was done. It came out okay, but next time I won’t spray. What temp/time to you suggest? I love that they’re actually putting air fryer instructions on some packaging!! 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • @empoweredcooks
      @empoweredcooks  2 роки тому

      Hi Cyd! My husband bought those recently and has an air fryer at work! I believe we decided the best option is to cook them at a lower temp (like 320) for 15 min? OR microwave it for a bit, and then crisp it up in the air fryer for 3 min at 380.

  • @christopherburnett5618

    How is your Cosori holding up? Mine is less than 1 year and fan takes a few minutes now to get up to full speed. Also used a remote grill thermometer to check temperature and mine is about 20 degrees off, 400 only gets to 380 before the burner cycles off. I've had to either up temp or add time to get same results from 6 months ago.

      Hi Christopher, mine is doing great so far! I too, recently got a Meater thermometer and loved seeing the ambient temp. It was right on track. @empoweredcooks  2 роки тому +1

      Hello! SO it's a little harder to cook meat from frozen in the air fryer. I am working on a way to make this happen though. But the problem is that the exterior of your meat is going to overcook before the interior is going to cook. However, I am a lot like you and for a long time, really had problems remembering to pull meat out to thaw! :) The instant pot is great for that, but not the air fryer. What I have found is to set alarms/reminders on my phone when I menu plan, for the days I need to pull meat out from the freezer. You can totally do this!
