      Ah thanks so much. Yeah I didn't keep any of my NES games either. My original NES console broke so I got rid of it. Had to buy it all again for this video. It wasn't cheap 😅

    I always thought the "eastmost peninsula" clue referred to the eastern wing of the dungeon itself, as that's where the respective Triforce piece is located, along with the fact that advice offered in underworld/overworld applies to the respective world in which it was discovered.

    It's worth noting, it's a popular sentiment that the game is also partially based on the Ridley Scott film "Legend". Although the plots are completely different, there are a lot of visual and elemental similarities

    I wasn't an 80s kid, but rather a 2010s kid and I personally think Zelda 1 is one of the most inspiring games that I have ever played especially taking into account how open the game is in a time in which arcade games were the standard. There are many ways in which I think this game excels over BotW even, its modern-day counterpart, as although both are open, I feel as if Zelda 1 has more structure and better rewards you for its exploration. I hope that one day another game like Zelda 1 can come out and truly build upon its foundations!

    • @gamenerdlegacy
      @gamenerdlegacy  Місяць тому

      Well said. Zelda 1 is so impressive for the time it was made. There are a few NES games that took inspiration from it like Willow. Also modern games like Tunic and Oceanhorn also are heavily inspired by it

    Excellent video!. I really enjoyed it. Just one correction....Jaws is a minor 2nd, not a tritone. I know, a small detail but I am a musician and couldn't let it go. lol
