Being born in 1980, I wish I could truly express how impactful Zelda II felt when it first came out. It’s a shame it aged so differently.

Born 1978 I loved both of those zelda games. The legend of zelda made my dad buy a Nintendo after renting the game for a week with a console lol so I thank that game for my gaming future lol

Breath of the wild is the most amazing game I’ve played. And I remember playing original Zelda as a kid. It’s amazing.
I still play Oracle of ages and Oracle of seasons whenever I get free time 2 of my favourite games of all time even though I like all the originals but yes BOTW2 IS GOING TO ROCK hope your getting your shrines and hearts up lol gonna need em 🙂

Still my favorite game
I had never played any zelda game, and last year I decided to play ALttP in the NSO's Switch service. I loved it! It's still very fun and with all the pixel-indie games that are very relevant right now it doesn't feel aged at all! After that I played OoT, BoTW, LA and Caence of Hyrule and am very excited to play the rest of the games in the series!

Its stil is even without bringing up graphics it is up to part next to ocarina and I feel its filled with just as much story as it. Young link adult link. And light world and dark world

A Link to the Past is the single greatest video game of all time in my opinion. It was in a league of it’s own when it came out and aged perfectly.

It's hard to imagine Links Awakening and the Oracle series was created *after* LTTP, I played them reverse and it felt like a natural evolution of style

I watched the video because although I’ve been gaming since 1996, I haven’t touched Zelda. Gonna play through them all soon and wanted to know what to expect. I grabbed the Zelda collection for GameCube to start with.

Minish Cap is easily the most underrated Zelda title ever. I've played the game all the way through at least twice, it's very fun and has the coolest secrets to explore

My dad recently passed from COVID. I just finished oot at the time so I played Majora's mask and the motief of the game really helped.
Now THIS is what you call high quality content! The amount of research and effort put into this video was amazing! All of the 45 minutes were worth watching.

Twin Peaks & The Legend of Zelda. Two of my most favourite things ever together 💞
A link to the past is hands down the very best game in the series, I remember being so sucked into it when it came out and getting 3/4 of the way thru it then having my friend accidentally delete my save file. I immediately started back on a non stop marathon to get back to where I was. I learned to have a backup save whenever possible from then on. The minish cap is excellent also. The very first one on NES is in the top 3, when I first completed it I felt like I had really accomplished something.

my favorite game of all time is zelda twilight princess. i got it on my pc and was having a blast until dumb me tried to make a desktop shortcut for it and somehow that deleted the file for the game and i only gor 7 hours of playtime, but in that 7 hours it proved not only to be my favorite zelda game, but my favorite game of all time

It was the first I ever played. That probably defined my The Legend of Zelda expectations.
Zelda was a defining part of my childhood, and I still love to play the games. I'm playing Twilight Princess for the first time right now, and though it isn't a blind play through, I'm still learning things and enjoying little secrets.

Non linear design is why the first game and breath of the wild are my favorites. Miyamoto was correct in saying that it is much more rewarding. Adds more of a sense of adventure. That's not to say that the other games in the series are bad or lack this, hell I love me some Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening, but it just felt different with 1/BOTW.
Ocarina if time, Legend of Zelda and Nintendo in general made up so much of my childhood, I’ll never forget it

It’s a good video, just some more information: Link’s Awakening is still treasured for its music and innovations that were not mentioned in the video above: Link’s Awakening is the first Zelda game with mini games, fishing, a trading quest, interactive companions that impact the gameplay, mini bosses, automatic saves when you enter/exit a building and more. Before you rode Epona, you could already let the flying rooster fly you over chasms as you navigate it wherever you wanted - making it the first mount in the franchise. Link’s Awakening is more groundbreaking than many are aware of. Also, it is the first that showed that you need no Hyrule/Ganon/Triforce to make a really impressive Zelda. Instead, it brought a wonderful island, innovative story, humor, romance, mystery, atmosphere and intense drama to the table. The EMOTIONS this game evokes are ahead of the Zelda games before and many after.

A link between worlds is one of my favorite Zelda games ever. Just beat it a few weeks ago. I didn’t even know it existed. Started playing botw. I really like it. It’s so open I feel like I’m trying to do things before I should. It’s a pretty hard game so far. I’m sure there’s a bunch of stuff I still need to learn about it.
