It's only more and more bewildering that Terran, who has so many comeback mechanics and core units so good they are viable in nearly every gamestare, want to bitch and moan about Zerg suddenly actually getting to play their (supposedly) tier 3 units.
I really, REALLY don't understand this since by all means the Ultra SHOULD have both the full speed upgrade and the push priority as a freaking melee unit (the race's ultimate unit too at that), and it was so underwhelming that nerfing anything in exchange for a buff makes no sense since it just needed straight buffs.
I dont see any terrans complain that much as zergs do can you show me one ? Also zerg was just defending the whole 1st game without attacking 1 time until like 18min . Just spamming drones and hatches and then when they dont win they say terrans turtle to much ... stop whining when you turtle yourself and only engage on creep. Where the game is right now is kinda well balanced every race abuses its own tactics as it should be.
Another point on Terran balance, it’s funny to me that Terrans figured out long ago that you can mass an energy-based unit that was never meant to be massed (orbital commands) that also gives you free income and scouting, and nobody complained that was overpowered. Then a Zerg finally figures out you can mass overseers (to less benefit) and comment sections are immediately swarming with Terrans complaining it has to be nerfed 😂
Orbital Commands may possibly be the most overpowered thing in SC2. Costs no gas, mineral cost is reasonable, and in return you get MULEs to boost your income, scanner sweeps for detection and scouting, and supply calldowns if you accidentally supply block yourself. The Zerg and Protoss have their own macro boost mechanics, but none of them come close to what the Orbital Command can do. Terrans can lose 40 workers and stay in the game because they have MULEs to make up for the loss and never have to build Ravens because they have on-demand detection whenever they need it. But do Zerg and Protoss ever complain?
I honestly believe if they want to keep the MULEs they should at the very least cost 1 supply. Scan should have a limit of 2 or 3 scans then have a long cooldown before you can use the scans again.
@@GameBoy-j3j I'd be down for adding cooldowns to MULEs and scanner sweeps. Dunno if they'd be individual cooldowns or global, though. With how many OCs Terrans make, individual cooldowns may not mean much, but global cooldowns could be too much. Sidenote - the fact Terrans make multiple Orbital Commands is an indicator of how good they are. When was the last time you saw Zerg or Protoss make extra Hatcheries or Nexuses for macro boosts? Ofc OCs also have the advantage that they're never a waste of money because you can lift them off and fly them to replace destroyed CCs or establish new expansions...

If you don't sneak one of these in fairly often, then catching a glimpse of the video's time bar can often spoil the outcome of a pitched game. Case in point: I was POSITIVE that I knew the outcome of game 2 with only 11 mins on the game clock, because I saw the video time bar while skipping an ad. Next time, however, even if there is no bonus game, MAYBE there is - so even if I see the vid timer, I can't be sure if the current game just goes long, or if the match ends early and there's a bonus game. All that, AND there's an occasional bonus cast! As long as we've pushed my spoilers down, I think we were seeing maybe a little lack of respect at 6:45 - and I don't think we'll see that again between these two.
Shin is really good, but i really think he is still one step behind of rogue, dark and serral. Idk exactly what, but i can feel a kind of brilliancy in those players thar shin still don't got.
Shin is one of my favourite players of all time because whenever you see him playing he always looks like hes having so much fun, even after losses he's laughing. Dude is living his best life and I'm happy for him
If dash had a slightly shorter cool down and a damage improvement (like stim but shorter), think initial barrage of spines or 2, we could see a increase in Hyrda utility.
Shin has been exceptional lately. People who still peg him as being subpar haven't watched him play in over a year. The steady improvement he's shown has pretty much put him just behind Dark for Zerg. He'll be on his level in no time.
Replace brood lords with guardians. Or (this is an idea I came up with), change the broodling into a facehugger type creature that attaches itself to the target and does damage over time. The problem with broods is that the counter is to get under them, but the broodlings get in your way. This is what makes them boring and frustrating.

I still find the developer note for the ghost nerf to be annoying "Developer Comment: With the release of PTR, we've received additional feedback from the progamers and community members that Ghosts power level seems to be too high for their cost and supply, *despite multiple targeted nerfs* in the recent years. Following this feedback, we would like to directly adjust the Terran army's lategame strength through this change." ghost got a buff to the emp that no one asked for and it "nerf" was basically bringing back to where it originally and should have stayed at. The only real nerf they got was the one to steady targetting.
The ghost nerf seems to badically be a snipe nerf. It's balanced in small numbers, but when youre massing ghosts it gets way too powerful. So, adjust the supply to nerf the mass strat
As a programmer, the number of times I have "fixed a bug" only for someone to complain that it doesn't do what it did before is high enough that I stopped counting. Suffice to say "It's not a bug, it's a feature" is real.

Ultras can’t shoot up, don’t enter the game until 10 or 15 minutes, and get blocked by other ground units. If you can’t see the difference, you’re quite special.

Terrans crying about the Ghost getting the minimum required of a balance fix (definitely not a nerf, and it is also completely negated by the no-supply super gatherer named Mule that gives them a bonus 15-25 supply compared to the other two races), just shows how incompetent they are as players. Once someone learns to play a game using cheats, he can't go back to normal.
The issue is then it would just be a better version of Stim, so if they did, they'd have to put in a similar damage on use that the Terrans get with Stim, and do you REALLY want to have to haul back damaged Hydras to get transfused.
@@copter2000 it is, and I am not denying that, but then adding a damage bonus makes it a poor man's stim, and giving a unit the ability to be able to get a 1 shot kill after short teleport (provided enough units are available) similar to say sniper on the Ghost, for free without energy, that's a bit much, and it would need a downside beyond the cost to research.
They are harcountered by liberators, banshees, tanks behind buildings, and ghosts. That they hardcounter bio is fine. They can still hop into medivacs and piss off

tbh i find u are too bias for the zerg for calling supply +1 ghost is minor while +25 mineral queen is significant . Increase supply always make huge impact in the game while at most , zerg has less 1 queen than usual
We nerf ghosts bcs they are too strong and kill literaly everything, Terans crying bcs Ultras have less buggy movement. NERF NERF NERF THEEEM /cry xD like that 1 supply will stop them from making tons of ghosts anyway. And even few will shut down ultras. (fixing movement of the unit just to nerf movemespeed)
Just because the players suck, it doesn't mean the race is not broken. As a game designer myself, I laugh at Terran as a faction with the Scan, Mule, and how broken the Ghost is for its cost. There are many other issues with the race, but these 3 are beyond absurd from every single aspect when it comes to balance. The other 2 races have nothing anywhere even close to these literal cheats. Based only on the tools each race has, Terrans should win at least 8/10 maps vs both Protoss and Zerg IF they were at the same skill level.
Ghosts are so unfun to watch they counter everything casters, zerg tier three, all protoss. The ghost change is nothing they need a real nerf. Also I want zerg buffs I hate we dont see swarm hosts, mutilisks, brood lords or like more than half of zerg units each game no matter the opponent need more variety makes better watxhing

Every Terran unit has squeaky wheels or gears, therefore they demand more grease.

I think it would be cool if Hydra dash gave the hydra's next attack a damage bonus. Blitzing in, similar to stimming or charge.

@@copter2000 it is, and I am not denying that, but then adding a damage bonus makes it a poor man's stim, and giving a unit the ability to be able to get a 1 shot kill after short teleport (provided enough units are available) similar to say sniper on the Ghost, for free without energy, that's a bit much, and it would need a downside beyond the cost to research.
Terran complaining about Ultras to OP. Yeah just don't make ghost and they are OP.

They are harcountered by liberators, banshees, tanks behind buildings, and ghosts. That they hardcounter bio is fine. They can still hop into medivacs and piss off

tbh i find u are too bias for the zerg for calling supply +1 ghost is minor while +25 mineral queen is significant . Increase supply always make huge impact in the game while at most , zerg has less 1 queen than usual
We nerf ghosts bcs they are too strong and kill literaly everything, Terans crying bcs Ultras have less buggy movement. NERF NERF NERF THEEEM /cry xD like that 1 supply will stop them from making tons of ghosts anyway. And even few will shut down ultras. (fixing movement of the unit just to nerf movemespeed)
This barely balances the free bonus 15-25 supply they get because of Mules.
The Ghost needs a true nerf, especially vs Protoss.

Just because the players suck, it doesn't mean the race is not broken.
As a game designer myself, I laugh at Terran as a faction with the Scan, Mule, and how broken the Ghost is for its cost.
There are many other issues with the race, but these 3 are beyond absurd from every single aspect when it comes to balance. The other 2 races have nothing anywhere even close to these literal cheats.
Based only on the tools each race has, Terrans should win at least 8/10 maps vs both Protoss and Zerg IF they were at the same skill level.

Ghosts are so unfun to watch they counter everything casters, zerg tier three, all protoss. The ghost change is nothing they need a real nerf. Also I want zerg buffs I hate we dont see swarm hosts, mutilisks, brood lords or like more than half of zerg units each game no matter the opponent need more variety makes better watxhing
