My room was too hot for me to sleep. I tossed and turned and couldn't get comfortable. Then, all of a sudden, a chill swept through the house. I knew ASL ro16 group A vod had been uploaded.
2 day turnaround is fantastic and is a huge improvement from the 5-7 day turnarounds you had before. Hopefully it's like that for the rest of the tournament. Thank you for all of your hard work.
I'm new to BW esports after watching sc2 for years. I love BW, but I only ever played the campaign, so it's a bit less visceral/intuitive to me compared with watching sc2. it's harder to deeply empathize with great skill when you haven't tried to do it yourself. but Soulkey is so good, it translates even for me. he's the first BW player whose play gets me all excited and pumped up, he's incredible.
There was a time during Jeadong's peak when he could control every zergling like it was a hero unit. His "star sense" or awareness of every opponent's move was second to none, as though he was playing without the fog of war. I've been rooting for SoulKey for a long time, but I honestly don't think there will ever be a Zerg player as good as Jeadong was at his peak
@@urhere976 He's probably the smartest broodwar player next to flash. You can actually see just how smart he is while hes playing. You can see his on the fly decision making
I had the weirdest dream... I was traveling across the country, enjoying the natural landscape, when my car broke down. Being on a somewhat sequestered road, I knew I just couldn't stand there waiting for help. I started to walk in a random direction and, after hours of not seeing any signs of civilization, I caught sight of the most wonderful thing. I walked all the way toward it in a trance and realized I was standing in front of a magic castle, much like the one in Mario 64. It had an incredible aura, so I entered. Emotions quickly overwhelmed me when I found all of my deceased relatives and pets inside, alive and well and eager to see me. Welcoming celebrations took place, and I could sense that I was crying with joy and healing some of my deepest and oldest traumas - I feared death and solitude no longer. But then, a slight shiver ran down my spine. Things started to slow down as my late father pointed to the top of the castle where a window had been left open. I woke up very suddenly, like Leonardo DiCaprio at the end of Inception - eyes wide open without sleepiness. I knew right there and then that SSL RO16 Group A had been uploaded.
The game music is so good, and the sound effects are so satisfying. If I can't hear all of that, it takes so much away for me. Glad they figured out their miss and turned the music on!
This is my favorite group for sure. Sea and Soulkey in particular have super unique and entertaining playstyles, and they didn't disappoint here with their ingenuity.
I think it's definitely possible. We might even find new playstyles that are adapted for a slightly slower, but more refined performance. In SC2, you have players like Reynor, who have 600-700 APM, but are still weaker than slower, more strategic players like Serral. Gumiho is also a bit of an outlier - his hands tend to get really sweaty, so he usually plays with a small towel over his mouse. It sort of gets in the way a bit, so he favors less micro-oriented plays and relies on innovative, unique builds, even though he plays T (perhaps, the most micro-able race in sc2). So my dream scenario would be to see SC develop into a sport where age and physical fitness don't play such a huge role as to separate people 8nto different age groups, except one for kids/teenagers? Like chess?
It's unlikely because players in their teens and 20s now who should have an age advantage are still not able to compete with the current pros in their mid 30s. The millennial generation of Starcraft players will still be the best there is even when they're 40 and 50. You won't need a different league
@@jesse1381 doubtful. Most quit eventually. It's mostly about motivation to put in the endless hours. Less about not being able to age-wise Look at chess not many top players 50+ around

There's a particular technique called magic boxing to ensure that a group of dropships/shuttles/overlords will all drop at the same time. Drop techniques will give you more particulars, but essentially if you click the drop button in the center of all the transports, they will all unload individually. It's a little finnicky to pull off and highly depends on the positioning of the transports.
Watching Soulkey play vs. Rush is just insane. It's reminiscent of watching the top chess engines completely dismantle top grandmasters in chess, he's just making it look like Rush never had the slightest chance to begin with.

Some concert pianists play virtuosic repertoire, pieces that require lots of stamina, speed and coordination, well into their 80s, so why not!
