Hearts of Iron IV is a grand strategy wargame developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. I once played the USSR and my friend communist China.
Germany just completely stomped France and the Benelux and then me shortly after.
The AI actually used mechanised for once and pushed me back to the urals.
My friend got also heavily beaten by Japan until we both where confined to his home province.
Somehow we still won.

I just remembered that McArthur used paratrooper divisions yesterday in Kaiserreich.

@@ricardoftanakaf You add manpower through focuses, not conscription. I have played the campaign multiple times. As soon as you switch to collectivised society, you're locked into volunteers only

fun fact: the max recruitable population limit is 2 billion people at any given time due to limitations so by conquering china thats barely 1/5th of the recruitable cap because the max china gives is 500 million. (Check ISP's Breaking HOI4 By Conscripting Alll of China Video for context)

the only true way to win a war
The easy way to win the civil war is to make sure you keep Burgos or Valladolid. That way you have contiguous borders while the Nationalists are split in two (or even three if you can cut off the states they take in the south).
Pin any enemies at the front line, walk into any unoccupied provinces, and try to encircle as many enemies as you can before the "lines solidify" event happens. After that, you can pretty safely tell all your armies to constantly push, since the enemy troops do almost no soft attack so you aren't wasting equipment or manpower.
You can also start building infantry units with artillery as soon as the war begins, and they make it so much easier. Basically none of the enemy units even have artillery, so if you put a few on the Infantry Division template it'll be the strongest thing in the war (besides the volunteers).
Use the strong troops and the prepared offensive decisions to crush the encircled parts of the enemy and encircle more.
I'm not very good at the game, and I can still easily beat the Nationalists about a month before the anarchist uprising, which makes the war so much easier.
Gotta give it to this game, is the only simulation in history that can bring a loose coallition of milicias with different conflicting ideologies that lasted less than a year in the real world and was dissolved by a real Republic turn into a superpower that can conquer the earth lmao.
Ridiculous mechanics if you ask me.

Paradox games don't always shoot for realism, and hypotheticals are excellent targets for alt history, just needing some unrealistic boosting to be even remotely feasible

if you don't take the tile under london, you can farm even more war score since the divisions will not be destroyed, and if I am not mistaken, battles count more war score than actual casualties
I found that a better way to earn war contribution rather than killing British divisions was conquering land in my Spain play through. It seems letting the AI retake its VPs and you capturing them again just produces more points faster.

Kinda late, may never see this, but I was curious if you’d ever play some Kaiser reich? Been stuck on it and really love the flavorful gameplay, some challenging nations on the mod as well that make for some amazing games. Personally would eat up any videos you released playing it.
When fighting as any republican Spain i actually tend to secure Castille with decisions so i can break Nationalists into two fronts

I think in hoi4 elections just mean for political parties and country leaders, so it would mske sense to turn it off for anarchism because there wouldn't be leaders just direct democracy

Well for instance it woulndt have been a superpower that will have invaded and conquered the world. It would be just a extremely rural nation with no allies and very vulnerable after the extra-extra destruction of fighting both nationalists, republicans and probably even communists. It would be either anexed by the USSR or the german Reich.
@adolfomijareshernandez114 It wouldn't neccesarily be rural, actually. Anarchist communes can exist in cities, and anarcho syndicalists would largely excercise trade union democracy in factories. You're confusing anarchism with hippie communes presumably.

And this i have tried 3x times and still did not work and then i have tried your guide again did not work as yours yours naval invade takes a not even a day and you have a supremacy + you said that naval invasion you had is just one chance to naval invade but i did not get any chance why?. Im a guy who loves spanish focus tree and has a morality to try this but im losin it.
