Weird take, but my favourite thing about my cebu blue is that it’s leaves are suuuper flat. It’s SO satisfying. As an artist, it’s like they’ve been made out of paper. It’s so sculptural!
Thanks for making this, it was fun to watch! random favs (no particular order) - Ficus Belize - Piper Argyrites - Aglaonema Rosy - Anthurium Pedatoradiatum Fingers - Tradescantia Quadricolor - Philodendron Pink Princess - Billbergia sp. - Caladium Spring Fling - Hoya Peltata - Hoya Pulchra (And a whole bunch of more Hoyas)
I love how most are very common! just shows how price doesn't matter what makes us happy is all that matters when it comes to plants :), I just wanted to share I went to a garden center recently that had this things to keep plants more compact, I bought a few and added them to my anthuriums so the leaves don't go everywhere, its a stake with a ring around and all the leaves go inside the ring, it works a treat! you get more space for more plants 😅
I really love how many of these are common, inexpensive plants! It's really not all about the hype and price tag. I love the Cebu Blue and fern leaf cactus as well, and a Glorious is high on my wishlist!
So many of my faves on here! Great summary of these plants. Thanks Emma- love your videos. My fern leaf cactus has gone crazy this year. Have had it for about 2 yrs. I chopped off a few bits and stuck them in the pot and all took well and are already pushing out loads of growth. Once it gets going it really takes off. Really want it to flower one day. I’m also in love with cebu blue. Just as easy to grow and prop as an aureum. It’s so lovely to see your glorious. I got a baby plant and it’s growing like crazy and am on the second chop and extend after only 4 months or less. Excited to get it sized up to something approaching your stunning specimen.
Hi Emma!Just love your enthusiasm about your plants and have to say I so love watching and especially seeing your sweet girl Cleo.Give her a hug from me so far away in Maine😊
Great choices:) I think my top ten would be my hoya mathilde, euphorbia leuconera, norfolk pine, peperomia incana, scindapsus exotica, philo white wizard, philo nangaritense, philo squamiferum, ag silver bay, aaand alocasia black velvet!
Let's see, mine would be Anthurium vittarifolium, Monstera esqueleto, deliciosa thai con. and obliqua peru, the variegated string of tears, Ceropegia linearis, Dischidia nummularia and dragon jade, Peperomia columella, Aspidistra elatior, Muehlenbeckia axillaris, Epipremnum shangri la, Ficus alii, and both Pilea sugar and mojito. But I could absolutely expand the list :D
Love, love my scindapsus too. 🪴Love my philodendron moonlight, have an alocasia pink dragon that is stunning. Philodendron Dean McDowell is taking over the house. 😊🌱
I like the top 3 or 4. I have some of them. Scindapsus pictus argirius is doing better than Scindapsus pictus exotica in my case so I kept multiplying it. That's my favorite. Cebu blue is cool because you can grow it hanging with blue leafs or grow it big on a pole. So it's 2 in 1 plant.
I love the Cebu Blue too! I have found mine to be highly susceptible to rot in my home and I am always having to restart it! Luckily it is super easy to re-root in stratum, perlite, and even just water. My most favorite plant in my collection changes all the time depending on what is growing. I am currently absolutely in love with my Monstera Albo though! She is a constant stunner. Thanks for a fun video :)
hmm that's so odd! I've never had any issues with cebu blue rotting. glad you still love it though! Such an amazing plant! And I totally feel you about how favourites change. It was tough to try and get that out of my mind when picking these
@GoodGrowing I realized after posting my last comment that I got my Cebu Blue Pothos from Costa Farm in the US (sold in big box stores) and I often have quite a lot of the plants I get from them to be susceptible to root rot. Solved a mystery today! Hopefully as I chop and prop it I have less of that problem :)
I love the fastest growing plants that most people dismiss; such as scindapsus exotica, cebu blue pothos, adansonii, and tetrasperma. they just multiply happiness rapidly. it's not instant gratification, it just love to grow! lol you might want to have colocasia's family, their leaves are hydrophobic. so you know it's gonna look awesome everyday xD
Great pick!! I would love to know/learn more about your scindapsis exotica and silver queen. What should one look for in telling them apart. I would love to learn more if you have a moment to touch on this . 😌
While not my absolute favorite, my Cebu Blue and Manjula are definitely in the top ten on my list of favorites. I would have such a difficult time picking my top ten favorite plants! I don't even know if I could do it. I do know that my large Domino Peace Lily would be on it.
My favorites are Scindapsus pictus Exotica, Alocasia Stingray, ponytail palm, 2 Hoya carnosa (K. Queen and K. Princess) that I have on trellises , and Calathea (now Goeppertia) lancifolia "rattlesnake".
I'm surprised there are not any comments about the cat 😂 I was not able to concentrate when the cat was on the screen (during bird of paradise), because of how cute it was :D I'm new to your channel, and I love it :) and I'm taking notes about plants as a beginner plant parent. I don't have any from your list, but I added some on my Wishlist :) I don't have any Hoyas and I hope to buy some in the near future. And rhaphidophora tetrasperma seems really exciting :)
Haha I think people are used to her by now! But yeah I defo get distracted by her too… proud of myself for not in that moment! Glad you’re getting some inspo! 🥰
I love you top 15, live that you have cacti in it 😊 Mine would be scindapsus exotica, philodenron tortum, monstera deliciosa (large form), philodendron sqamiferum, cereus forbesii spiralis, myrtillocactus geometrizans "Boobie cactus", rhaphidophora tetrasperma, ludisia discolor, asplenium "Parvati", hoya burtoniae, ferocactus coloranthus, monstera Peru, philodendron Narrow, thaumatophyllum Jungle boogie, hoya Mathilde.
Very fun video. I love your appreciate for so many plants that are very common. I'm the same with my collection. I'd take my gorgeous heartleaf Philodendron to the ol' (humid) island with me.
I absolutely love my raphidaphora tetrisperma, I just bought my second one this year and it has done amazing. My favorite pothos is marble/snow queen, it just keeps putting out wonderfully variegated leaves. I'm obsessed with Hoya obavato, I love the leaf shape and hopefully I will have one again. I adore my string of hearts and just got a string of turtles and pearls. My coffee table is being taken over lol I am excited to regrow my collection after having to leave the plants that didn't die during the winter with my mom. P.S my mom has claimed the survivors and won't send them to me lol
Funny, I concur with bird of paradise pushing out a new leaf late summer, both in my one pot are, ones out now hardening, one is starting to unfurl, AND THEYRE HUGE!! Apparently I’m giving enough light! How do you do semi hydro without a water reservoir? I need to find a new way to grow my succulents too! Omgosh, I’m new to the plant world this year, I hate how nurseries name plants sometimes, I just realized that I have a grail plant off my list already, labeled as a mini Monstera, it’s a Rhaphidophora tetrasperma!!! I feel like an idiot! But, I’m so excited lol
for cacti & succus I just use normal nursery pots with the semi-hydro substrate and don't put them in cache pots or with reservoirs. I tend to water about once a month at the moment
We share the same love towards fern leaf cactus! It's actually my 3rd favorite (2nd is aglonema silver queen, 1st is marble queen pothos). Tomorrow is my plant haul schedule and I have committed to buy two more pots of fern leaf cactus. It's very cheap too here in Indonesia, if it's converted to US$ it'd be only $1 (you get 4-5 tails per pot!) 😂😂
I think your fat boy-not fat boy is my fave of your plants. I have a huge rojo congo that’s a similar size but the melanonii has a ruffle-y lovely jungle quality that I adore!
Hi, random unrelated question (though that pep is AMAZING) - While you're on the sofa talking about your BOP, there's some little shelves above you. Is this for Cleo, and can I ask where you got them from? I really want some high spots for my kitties and would love something like this!
All time the best are scindapsus trebi, hoja publicalix, amydrium, syngonium chapanse, monstera Peru, ceropegia, syngonium batik, sanseveria moonshine, peperomia Rocco Verde and rotundifolia, raphidophora decursiva, philodendron Birkin, platycerum, epipremnum all, and much more..are not problem makers.
Em where is your link and code for house of kojo. I cant recall which vidio its on.Gonna plave an order today and was just about to press the order button and luckily i remembered you.thanks.x
@@GoodGrowing no your not too late thanks.I did find it but i gotta try again.Couldnt work out the bit when i had to put in a code too verify its me. Could not get back on the page. Not good with technology stuff. But gonna try again or get my neighbour to help me. Thanks for the fast replyx just watching your cactus in pon. Ouchy!!
@GoodGrowing I could definitely rank by sentimental value. Lol a lot of my plants are special but literally only to me 🤣 my heart leaf philodendron is my everything.

Love your choice of faves. Mine is the Cebu blue also, & 6 times is a charm; it’s finally growing up a moss pole. Thanks for sharing Emma!

Agreed! Though it's super fun to collect rare and unusual plants, I find the cheaper staples often bring me the most joy long term
with cebu blue, unfortunately the bigger the leaves get, the less blue they have, so you will be trading off the blue for splits in leaves
I really love how many of these are common, inexpensive plants! It's really not all about the hype and price tag. I love the Cebu Blue and fern leaf cactus as well, and a Glorious is high on my wishlist!
Nothing beats a good staple!
Wow. Great list. Would never have guessed most of them.

My Norfolk Pine would probably be on my top ten, I love it so much.
My regal shield and prince of orange and zigzag cactus are my favorites

Oh, wait! I also adore my Sansevieria (now Dracaena) that are spear-like, e.g. Fernwood Mikado and angolensis.
I soooo want the sarcophylla!! That is at the top of my wishlist pants, and really hot to get one this year on the US side of the pond.
Beautiful plants. I have a Philodendron Snow Drift and she bloomed for me💚💚💚

Hi Emma, I have loads of cacti and euphorbias, I’m thinking of putting them in ninja soil semi hydro, but how do you know when to water ?
Highly recommend! I just water them once a month. Or if I notice they’re getting a bit soft
Just knew that was going to be your number 1. ❤
Haha yeah I have said it on several occasions 😅
Great choices Emma 😍 Scindapsus exotica is very beautiful and as you said so easy 😊💚 Can you bring cuttings to the London plant swap ?
I have all time questions is scindapsus exotica the same what trebi?
No they’re different
So first time here. I don't know your life. But I clicked because I absolutely can't pick 15 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm curious. Let's go
Hehe I hope you enjoyed! Picking just 15 was very difficult tbh
@GoodGrowing I could definitely rank by sentimental value. Lol a lot of my plants are special but literally only to me 🤣 my heart leaf philodendron is my everything.

I have lot od them
I like peperomia but i kil sarcophylla😔 maybe i try again
