  • On UA-cam, there are a lot of marketing gurus who promise to get you millions of customers. However, it's important to be realistic and avoid those who might take advantage of you. That's why I'm here to bring you back to the basics of social media and show you how to organically grow your local brand or service-based industry on platforms like Facebook. You don't have to spend a lot of money on advertising if you don't want to!
    As someone who runs a dumpster business and other side hustles, I'm not an expert, but I can share what has worked best for me.

    Appreciate your knowledge I’ve spent my whole life as an ironworker welder now I’m gradually building up a business. What brings in business is local advertising. Graffix on bins that you can read from a distance and stickers on traffic light posts. When you’re stopped at light they draw you into reading them. I need to be more knowledgeable on social media that’s where I’m lacking. Keep up the video’s you are making a difference out there.

    Social media is for connecting with people. The more connections you make the more possibilities you have. Video is big, especially for energetic businessmen like you! Some people have made big money in trash, even the one here who had Blockbuster Video!

    Stay away from Home adviser, Angie's list and all other lead referral companies. They are a waist of investment also.

    I learned the hard way about paying for Facebook ads. It was a total waste of money! No one from my area ever seen them or contacted me. But people from California, Connecticut and New Jersey did. And Im in South Ga.

    Facebook ads seem to be doing pretty good for me. But the majority of the time I do target them pretty well. I don’t have a damn clue what I’m doing as far as making the ads. The ones I thought would be horrible were the ones that got me the most business but the ones I worked really hard on didn’t do a damn thing. The only time I get people outside my area is when I’m too lazy to check what area Facebook wants to post in. I hate Facebook but it does seem to work so I have to suck it up and use it.

      If it's working, don't mess with it! Glad to hear they work out for you. Most guys don't seem to be as lucky! But just like anything, it is very dependenton your strategy and local market

    Those Facebook ads clicks…. I believe 100% that more than half of the interactions I get on my paid ads are from fake accounts created by Facebook to get all of your ad spend. I click on the accounts, and they have all of the red flags for fake accounts.

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  Рік тому +1

      I have definitely noticed the same. I truly think they are bots or fake accounts. It honestly needs investigated

    Hey brotha, how many cans do you have now? & how many rentals are you doing per month average

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  Рік тому +2

      Still only 10 cans, with a few more on the way. But we turn them over 50-60 times a month for rentals on average.

      @@rollingops that’s pretty dang good! During the slow season, does that number cut in about half?

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  Рік тому

      @Tommy Popov not really we don't usually drop below 40, the only thing keeping us from topping 60-65 rentals is inventory and man power, so I need more of both!

    For those just starting out, put a noticable sticker on the dumpster that says, *_"Ask me how to make $20!"_*
    When someone asks, you ask them to pull out their phone and write you a 5 star review in front of you. Once they do, hand them $20.
    Doesn't matter if it's the customer or someone at a 7-11 or a bunch of guys on a job site. Once you get enough reviews, peel off the stickers.
    That may be unethical, or immoral or just a flat lie, but social media is a bunch of lies anyway so why should you care?
    If you're already established that might be a bad idea though...
