Hey mate. Good job with your video. Really interesting to see the Hero 11 honked out before the 10. I do notice that my hero 11 seems to over heat earlier than my 12. I think it may be to do with the GPS element of the Hero 11 which the 12 does not have. Thanks for your video. All the best.
in real life is not big diffence, problem is that it has not fast charging, it is more important than this sadly 10% more longer time, and blocked gps ! unfortunately gopro seems to be closing, probably hero 11 is my first and last gopro camera. Sony has been with me for many years, but it has not caused any problems. dji introduces larger matrices, more modern solutions, stability and support, gopro only pumps advertising. thank you for this test !
Yes , Gopro 12 needs to be charged for lik 2h t be around 80% whereas DJI action 4 only needs 18 minutes .... This year GoPro really dissapointed withnew features
Nice test, looks like you did a good job getting the settings in sync. Surprised the 10 beat the 11. Since there can be variations in the manufacturing process, would have been nice to move the batteries between the GoPros after recharge and see if the same pattern was repeated, especially between the gopro 10 and 11. Actually surprised that the 10-11 didn't overheat with hypersmooth on sitting stationary that long!!
It didnt overheat only beacause i provided air circulation with a fan in the room and the cameras were lifted on the geound not touching it.. Many people just put their cameras straight on the table and record statically and thwy overgeat within 15 or 20 min because of that. These cameras are meant to be moving
@@Tomasz.Nowacki I've had mine on a tripod outside. I agree its an action camera, but with modes like time lapse and star trails, some of those are designed for stationary shooting. I've also been on my road bike average 16 mph and it still overheats, sometimes wonder how much of that is the sun and heat the black case picks up.
@@damorgman well typically in timelapse mode the battery lasts 3h , but it never iverheated for me in timelapse. Perhaps i only record during sunset /sunrise , or nightlapse, occassionaly clouds. A couple of times it was a very hot day i tested timelapse in full sun and i stopped cause the camera was super hot out in the open in 35 c sun and felt like its gonna melt ^^ As for regular recordings perhaps u have too many features turned on ??? Like voice command, wifi , gps etc
Bro if I record in 9:16 aspect ratio on gopro hero 12 wide fov so will I be able to edit it to superview or hyperview in gopro quick app or will it remain in wide fov
These cameras are meant to be used outside and not indoors , for the sake of the test I used a fan to provide some air circulation in the room , temp was set to 25
Hello. Great video and very informative. I am planning in buying a Go Pro and record my flights in a Cessna. Do you think the Go Pro 10 is a good option? I have seen a lot of reviews and they say it’s a good camera but that it overheats a lot, is it true that it only lasts 15 minutes in 5.3k before overheating?
If you use the camera outside the plane there’s no chance any camera will overheat. If you use any go pro inside or on a tripod they will all overheat as this is an action camera and it was designed to be used during actions. Hope that makes sense.
Hey i did provide some airlow from a fan with the lowest settings as these cameras must have some air flow , they are meant to be used outdoors while on the move to cool them sown not stationary
@EpicCommute u should get yourself either a wind reduction dead car cover or connect it with a microphone for blogging purposes like dji mic + GoPro media mod etc
I only have 64 gb cards fir my cameras , i would need to buy 3 the same cards which is a bit of an investment , typically 64gb is enough for my needs I think u cam use maximum of like 500 gb or 1tb butnindont know for sure
Thanks for the info. I shoot at 4k 60, so it looks like the 12 is not any better for battery life. What I would be interested in, is if the heat dissipation is any better with the 12. The 10 will lock up pretty easily at 4k 60, even outside at ~ 70F. I wonder if the 12 has any improvement in that area, but I expect not. I do use the Media Mod, so that probably makes it worse either way.
Unfortunately i dont have any device to check the heating right now but i guess that without enough wind to cool.it down all.of them.gonna overheat sooner or later

this was a great video! short and to the point, exactly what I was looking for. thank you
I got 75 minutes at 4K 30 frames. Then it stopped from overheating! It was sitting on a shelf while recording, still had 18% battery left.
The camera probably lacked some air flow , i did provided sone airflow ( a fan ) in the test to cool them down
Gopro hero 12 battery is equal tô gopro hero 10/11 battery? I need bought one

You're forgetting the blue speckles!
Thanks for the comparison. @@Tomasz.Nowacki
I dont like it ^^ think it looks quite ugly honestly

I am asking about the field of view will be able to edit it from wide to hyperview because we can only go up to wide in 9:16
@@iamnoob2019 ok if its already locked in wide by default i dont think u can change it in quick app

@@Tomasz.Nowacki can you check and tell me
@@iamnoob2019 unfortunately i cant check it :) sorry
SIR YOU MISSED 4K 30 FPS I REALLY WATED TO SEE THAT TEST AS WELL CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE SHORT VIDEO ON IT..??
What temp is it for you indoors? My GoPro12 overheats in 27mins indoors @ 5k.3 60FPS, new battery, no fan though.
These cameras are meant to be used outside and not indoors , for the sake of the test I used a fan to provide some air circulation in the room , temp was set to 25
How is it possible that 10 is performing better than 11, how?
New models often come with more new features such as higher bit rate and it might affect battery life
I'm using GoPro Hero 7 and it gives me 3+ hours of continue recording on 1080/30fps 😅 and near about 2.5 hours on 4k
At 1080 P recording I got one hour and 55 minutes with GoPro 12. This is nowhere near what you got.
Whats is you surounding temp?
I think it was around 21 - 23 degrees celsius , yet i provided some air ventilation with a fan to cool them down
Did the camera turn off duebto overheating or the memory card was full ? Please check my settings
Is this test with the screen saver on ? Becoz with the screen on the gopro hardly shots 20 minutes
No catty

If u put it flat on the table indoors using the highest settinga possible then yes
If u use it outside and records while moving then no :)

Tenga en cuenta que gopro12 no tiene GPS. ¿usted desconectó el GPS en gopro 10 y 11 para el test?
Yes , i never use gps on my gopros so for this test all cameras had GPS disabled
Witam.Mam pytanie.Czy test kamer był robiony przy wyłączonym tylnym wyświetlaczu ???
Wyswietlacz byl ustawiony na 1 minute potem sue wylaczyl :)
@@Tomasz.Nowacki Ok.Dzięki.Pozdrawiam !!! 👍👍👍
Yanlış bilgi 20 dakikada kapanıyor 5.3 k 60 fps de sıfır kutulu denedim
Perhaps it overheated for you due to lack of wind , remember that this is an action camera and needs to be used as such
Go pro 12 black vs insta360 ace pro battery life camparision ??
Untortinately i dont have ace pro :)
Please give me one camera
I vote for Hero 12. This is a very useful test. Its even better with air going over it like out side

Nice informative video ❤🎉
Thanks for the video. Is there anyway you can charge the battery whilst recording with the GoPro 12?
Yes :) with a powe bank and usb c pass through door , gopro volta , telesin rechargable selfie stick etx
Using GoPro Hero 7 silver,, gives me more than 3 hours of continuous recording on 1080p 2.5 hours on 4k,,
Is it good for cycle ride vlogging? How stable is it. I am looking to buy one second hand but don't know how it will work
