Hi, Drew. I appreciate your video and showing the poverty in Mada. But I'd have liked that you did mention both the sides. While the majority of the population is impoverished, a very good number is well- educated, earns really well and has lived in France or has immediate family there. This side of the population shops in expensive malls even for their daily groceries which is imported from other African countries, France, etc. To mention rent in the capital city is also extortionate. The developed portions are of international standard, built mostly to suit the American and European lifestyle. That's also because plenty of Europeans move there for the better jobs that go to them over the locals. A lot of the poverty and misery is of course from corrupt politics. Can say all this with my experience of living in Mada for a better part of the year. Love, from India
As a American, this short video was very interesting. Many people who live in Western Nations like my nation America should be happy with their life, no real problems like in Madagascar. This Malagasy video was very interesting and very easy to understand Madagascar information in American English translation. Not many Americans know about this, I do and now I share too.
Many countries in Africa have economic and political issues. I enjoy your videos very much. This is the first time I'm hearing you highlight poverty and economic decadence of a country.
I had the same epiphany after visiting Thailand last year, which btw is far far far richer than Madagascar. From that time, I often think about how lucky I am to have been given all the opportunities I have just because I was born in Europe. It makes me a little happy and a little sad at the same time.
Today, here in California - USA, we received a clothing item we purchased on Amazon. The label said it was made in Madagascar. In order to produce items for export it's necessary to invest capital, to train people, and to reduce corruption so that people can improve their conditions.

You do a great work Drew to tell us about them.
Thanks for loving our fellow brethren all over and raising consciousness
I've seen many videos about Madagascar and thought about the life there, not rich but happy life. But never knew about the proverty that they are one of the poorest countries in this world. Thanks for the extract the video with a clear message. You've been awesome making travel videos.
I've learned a lot different culture the country you visited.. Thanks Drew...
Dude your videos are so interesting! Keep up with the good job! Greetings from Paraguay!
Mauritius, which is west of Madagascar, is a thriving island. I wish Madagascar could be like that.
Mauritius is also corrupt but unlike Madagascar it’s had connections w/ international markets like european ones. It was only settled during the scramble of Africa. B4, there were just dodo 🦤 birds living there
Thanks for showing a more 'real' view into Madascar - appreciate that.
this made me cry
I just started viewing your videos! I love Turkmenistan! You are lucky to get to do this! These unusual countries are the best!! Such wonderful cultures and traditions !
"cus u and i cannot choose where we're born"
Thats right, and i'm glad for born in Indonesia. Thnk u drew:)
My country ♥️♥️♥️ Madagascar🇲🇬 y...we are poor of money but we live better Thank God
Drew:it's poor cuz it's isolated from Africa
New zealand:Ahh 😧 give the world map
See 🤭🤭
Ya but new Zealand doesn't have the same neighbours. Take all of New Zealanders and switch them with these people. Then good luck.
I lived in Australia and New Zealand exports a lot of labour and people.
Very informative.Drew still catching up your other videos have watched almost 20 already and theres more to go and I'm loving it.keep traveling I'm a mom fr Phil

Tnx for sharing your experience. It’s an eye opener to those individuals who doesn’t appreciate what they have.
I've really become fascinated with Madagascar, I'm South African, this country is technically a neighbouring country and we know nothing about it.
also south african, i was looking at a map one day and I realized I knew nothing about madagascar
I became interested in Madagascar when I heard a lot of coloured people have ancestry from Madagascar
my father was born here same as my grandmother they were able to escape and come to america its such a beautiful thing to see my culture
Well, our world today is filled with racists,so it is almost impossible for a lot of people to visit, but I think Drew is the only legend who has the guts to travel the whole world, dirty or not he still is gonna go
A Beautiful 2014 Toyota Corolla If u think racism is only exclusive to Europe and America then U must have never been to japan or Korea. One of the most ignorant racists I met are all Asians, and I’m asian.
A Beautiful 2014 Toyota Corolla it is, i assure you here in Madagascar there are many racists
@A Beautiful 2014 Toyota Corolla As Indian , the amount of racist people here is 4x bigger than Europe combined and 3x bigger than USA + canada + NZ , AUS combined !
@Esha Because you might not have experienced or heard of it , i myself live in rural area like 70% or even more of Indians also I have literally seen people hating other people especially dark skinned dalits , they are not offered water when invited , also nobody drinks water from them , complete racist people and it IS ACCEPTED HERE BY EVERYONE
Spotted Monkey god youre such a miserable complainer
Dear your last 2 3 lines went into bottom of my heart....
Drew you're brave to visit such a country, you're smart to appreciate your own luxuries and wise to open our eyes
Not to take Anything granted, Appreciate the life We live.😍
What a great words.
Thank you God, for giving me this life I live.
If you are foolish enough to believe in God, and that this imaginary being have you the good life you claim to be grateful for, that same God ALSO gave these poor people the desperate lives they live.
You can’t have it both ways.
Better perhaps to drop this God nonsense and start thinking a bit more
@@marks7425, so answer me this:
If God does not exist, how did the universe come to be? Was there just a random explosion? How is that possible? You can’t create energy
Hey Drew, I love this video, I'm malagasy, I live in madagascar, thank you for your visit 👍👍👍
Hey Drew I’m loving the longer videos!
The direct sunlight they have is a massive opportunity for them to thrive
Your last lines wer so good it touched my heart.
I love u man
Nice madagascar videos, drew Fan from the Philippines

As a American, this short video was very interesting. Many people who live in Western Nations like my nation America should be happy with their life, no real problems like in Madagascar. This Malagasy video was very interesting and very easy to understand Madagascar information in American English translation. Not many Americans know about this, I do and now I share too.
I hope Madagascar can become Gladagascar soon.
_indeed_ 😅😅🤣🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
অসাধাৰণ আৰু ধুনীয়া video
Those last words were soo true and powerful
Many countries in Africa have economic and political issues. I enjoy your videos very much. This is the first time I'm hearing you highlight poverty and economic decadence of a country.
2:06 that sambus is amazing
Your one of kind drew, your documentary in such places you visit has lot of story to tell...
