Can we all just take a minute to appreciate this man's vocal talent? The message of the song is very much to the point, but the vocal layers are incredibly executed
Definitely, the auto-tuning was done exceptionally well.
@@avigdormoon
if you think a man who can manage 4 voices through 4 octaves requires autotune, you have absolutely no idea
Agreed. Where else can we hear this guy?
@@ShushLorraineMicah Tyler, he does mostly Christian/praise/ uplifting music but he’s on UA-cam and has his own channel. His voice is phenomenal.😃
A quartet created from thin air. So very clever.

60 yr old boomer here. I know a lot of millennials with their heads wrapped right. 3 of them are my sons, well one is a gen X. we boomers blamed our parents for crap and likewise they blamed us for crap. it's a viscous cycle that probably won't ever stop? but the world goes on, and it will for the boomers too.
Going by all the baby boomer bashing going on here, one would think you guys had the perfect life!
+crazy808ish - we're all alive at the exact same time, and as such we're all enjoying and suffering the same 'stuff.' i can't think of a single thing i have accomplished (or screwed up) in my life that can't be duplicated by millennials today?
amen Alex. I'm almost 62 w 2 sons w their heads screwed on pretty tight, which I'm proud of & grateful for.
I liked the song but have no time for that lady's talk. I'm not sure if she was high on pot, down on ludes (thats Quaaludes for the uninformed) or had 1 too many Old Fashions.
at some point you have to become responsible for your own actions. yes, it's up to our parents to teach our kids that, but even the Lord said "no longer will the sins of the fathers be visited upon the children, nor the children's upon the fathers. but each will be judged for their own sin." (sorry. that's from memory & I don't remember the verse, but you get the gist of it... I hope).
welfare had good intentions. but when run by lifetime politicians (we have to get term limits somehow) who've used it to enslave people & secure votes, it's a program gone wild. generations. being raised w "entitlement mentality" having their worth stripped away, being told they can't do it w/o the gov't.
now how's that for hypocrisy. the same party that's kept welfare enslavement their priority, whose been telling people they can't do it on their own, that they need the gov't, at the same time turns around focusing on peoples "self-esteem." you don't want to hear what I have to say about self-esteem. I survived physical abuse & molestation all by the age of 4 1/2. I survived bullying in school (I learned to run faster than them, & by the time I got to high school I had to engage in fighting... once. but that's a another adventure.)
then this 150# weakling who was literally afraid of his own shadow at times went (now there's a self-esteem issue if ever I saw one) & joined the Marines at age 17. I remember coming home after boot camp. this one kid who used to bully mesas me in my uniform & came up to me & said "hey man, no hard feelings, right? we were just. kids. I was stupid. no hard feelings, right?" now I don't know about self-esteem folks. not a big thinker or worrier about it. after all, pride was the 1st sin. but I can tell you that beating a man w/o a punch, beating him merely by my appearance... that did feel good! yrs later when I was still married w kids & looking at a duplex, the finance guy had the same last name as another. bully from high school. it was a very unusual name. so I asked if related. he was his brother. I asked how he was. he said he died. he was working on a roof & fell off, broke his neck. he knew about his brother's bullying days. but he finally straightened out, married, family, own business, etc. "I was really proud how he turned around his life." I told him I was sorry for his loss but was also very happy to hear of his turnaround bc he was definitely heading the wrong direction.
why say all this? bc at some point you have to make a decision to pick yourself up by your own bootstraps. don't know how? find someone who is successful & ask questions. or try something radical. pray. God said to ask Him for wisdom & He will answer. I know there's a cute saying out there that goes "God helps those who help themselves." newsflash. not only is that NOT in the Bible, but it's the exact opposite. Jesus said He came "not for the well but for the sick, for the well have no need of a dr."
that's one of satan's little tricks. take a truth, twist it around just enough to make it sound right & then throw it out there & watch it spread. many people, sadly even in church, think that's in the Bible. just like people think separation of church & state is in the Constitution. that's why we see so many people posting these horrific quotes that fuel racism & hatred & start riots over lies. bc they've stopped searching for the truth themselves. "well Moses, you go talk to God for us. we can't handle His voice... "
they misunderstood the heart of God, or if they knew it, they didn't want to change their evil ways.
when we stand before the judgement seat, when the books are opened, we will each be judged by our own actions. not the left or right, not the liberal or conservative, not Hillary or Trump, nor the tyrant residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. not Fox news or CNN. not your mom or dad, brother or sister.
you, & only you will be accountable for your own sins. personally I think, & this is just my own little thought, that when we stand before the throne, Jesus is going to ask 2 questions. "who do you say I am?" followed by "what did you do with that knowledge?"
of course, that's from a believer's POV. for those who denied Him, when asked that question, will no longer be able to deny the Truth, but as it is said "every knee shall bow, & every tongue confess... "
those who know the Lord will be acknowledging what they've known & bow freely. those who denied will bow bc they will not be able to stand against the Truth.
alas, I've wandered. shall I blame my ADHD?
"but God, I've got this condition. I have an excuse. well, I was told by the lawyers & schools & gov't that I had an excuse for being a monster. even the media said it wasn't my fault killing & torturing those people. now You're telling me those were all lies, that I'm responsible for my actions? You mean that guy on the corner handing out pamphlets about Jesus, the one I got angry at bc I didn't like him telling me I was a sinner like. himself & needed Jesus & as I was. killing him he said "Father forgive him for he knows not what he's doing.. " you mean he was telling the truth? well ok. I'm sorry now. what? it's too late? I thought you were a God of love. what kind of love is that? what, you gave me plenty of chances but I chose not to listen? well if you don't send me to heaven I'm going to be very angry &... "
well, in case you're thinking I'm being... not sensitive, let me start w the fact that I didn't have ADHD, & i was facing a similar scenario. but that's another adventure.
We've become too thin skinned. we're in a society where unborn animals have more rights than unborn children. we don't respect the beginning of life & wonder why we see kids committing such heinous crimes w absolutely no concept of remorse, right or wrong. we wonder that when we have a gov't run media & public school system that's run amok putting feelings above truth, desires above responsibility. we harp on self-esteem while dumbifying our kids. instead of requiring learning we compromise w intent. instead of correcting a kid for adding or spelling wring we teach creative math & creative spelling. that it's more important to shove a homosexual agenda down the throat of an innocent kindergartener at the tender age of 5 (& even preschoolers in some areas) than to affirm the value of a mother & father (alas, I had something else to say instead but the caboose left ahead of the train & I lost it, but the principle is the same) & at the same time infusing them w hate by telling them anyone who thinks differently is homophobic. (shall I start calling them heterophobic?).
if one were ever to put the humanist manifesto alongside the communist manifesto you'd see quite a similarly. you'd see their plans begin by infiltrating the education system. w teachers (& the ones that don't tow the party line... I know... some say toe the line but in this case tow gives a better picture of union enslavement... they're marked). infiltrate the education system then infiltrate the minds of the youth, turn them away from parents, faith, authority, etc. control the masses. truth is irrelevant.
Ahh. there I go again. now how'd I get here from a sing about millenials?
alas, a mind is a terrible thing to chase!
Alex Davis Except you and the previous generations voted for or against all these issues we're dealing with now. Baby Boomers fashioned the economy such that they hoped to get rich quick and retire at a decent age. Well, they were wrong, and instead of retiring and creating open positions, they now have to keep working while the younger generations lose out on those positions and are forced to work at Burger King or rack up $50k in debt to get an education. It IS your fault. Live with your choices.
Doug Jacobson The nation is getting more irreligious as time goes on. Deal with it. A modern society has no need for primitive thought like Gods or Hell. Children aren't born with the idea of God, they're fed it by churches and ignorant people.
I'm a Gen X'er, born in '77. I have a good paying job and do a lot of hiring. I conduct many interviews with Millennials and some are very smart and humble but most are smug, self entitled and very naive. Only Millennials will turn down a job with full benefits and a starting salary of $65,000 because we block many websites and there's no Facebooking, Instragraming, or Snapchating while on company time. Its actually pretty sad and pathetic.
Any chance you’re still hiring???

How does one sing along with someone who can't sing?
You spelled Millennial wrong.
+Joshua Popchoke Were you born between 1981 and 1997 roughly? Then yeah, you're a Millennial.** I do have a feeling you're not, though. You're probably a Gen Z'er.
If you read the description, you will see that it was a parody shown at a conference about helping people to see PAST stereotypes, so in a way, if the video is truly making fun of anyone, it's making fun of those who hold the stereotypes -- particularly those of us in Generation X. I was born in 74. And a heck of a lot of my friends engage in these stereotypes on a regular basis. In my mind, this video is making fun of those stereotypes more than it is making fun of Millennials. Although, Ashley Cooke is right, you did spell it wrong :P Still, it's fun either way, regardless of whom it's making fun of. I'm glad there are people, regardless of generation, who can still be amused by stereotypes, even if it's of them.
Hey bro, where do they get this entitled and we were given trophies bs from? I remember getting cained knuckles lol.

This guys looks much too young to be so out of touch with what it means to be a millenial 😂.
Now, I am a millennial, and I can say without a doubt that this song applies to many of us. But not all. It seems to be at about a 60/40 split, it's just the fools that are the loudest and get the most attention
Well, I am a millennial as well, and I assume that your experience is based off of one part of the country. I have moved around a bit, and seen a fair chunk of the west side of the country (only been east of Colorado once). There is a much larger split than that in my opinion. I would say 75/25 (75 being the entitled).
+Kaleb Cartier You're probably right, it does vary by area. I live in Florida
I think one of the comments above does make a good point, that those of us who are older can't just sit back and point all the blame on millenials. It's not like they held a gun to their parents' heads demanding trophies for participating.
+Alex Andrews
It applies to the overwhelming majority of millennial's. You people are literally the first generation to actually be dumber than their parents and my god are you people dumb... And completely useless on top of it all.

I've had this song stick in my head for like 10 years
I watched this video in my Career class today, and found it rather inspirational. Many people have their own opinions. Millennials are not just us, but the way the song portrays our character, I have got to say, that I agree. This, song kind of gave a an early wake up call. I am going to be a Freshman in high school next year, and this woke me up good. I know, not all of us are like the video explains, but the variety of us can be pictured like this. We need to wake up and realize, that we need to start maturing and thinking about the future. I hope this video opens up the mind eyes and hearts of many people, who are still lost in their own world. Also, even after this catchy song, I still have trouble spelling "Millennials". Haha! All generations are different in many ways. Different can be both good or bad. We'll just have to wait and see. I just hope we don't turn the world into Wall-E's clean up place. JK, that's not going to happen.
I served in the army, got out in 07. I am not a mellenial, I am from generation X. There are a lot of great mellenials out there. I served with them, I led then into battle. I laughed and cried with them. Not all mellenials are lazy good for nothings.
If anyone is to blame it is the Boomers and their divorce culture. many of the young men I had contact with lacked masculine role models. Dad dumped mom or mom dumped dad to find herself blah, blah. same crap from the boomers all the time.
As a military brat myself you are not making the distinction between military and civilian kids. Military kids, and vets are way more worldly due to their training and experience have a better head on their shoulders, typically. The average non-military millennial is dumb as a box of rocks but since they read an article on google they speak with the authority of someone with multiple degrees. Count yourself lucky that you were smart enough to enlist.
I'm a vet, did two tours over seas and I can easily say I am not even slightly self entitled. I was raised with respecting my elders. This song is really a slap in the face of young guys like me. I own my own home, 2 cars and married. Both my wife and I work full time and go to school full time. I am 27 and I hate my generation as it is. So let not ASS-ume we are all the same. Just look at who's been running our country? People may parents age. Shame, so who's to blame? Hippies?
+Wagner27 William why so serious?
+forest grump 1. I think mellenials are largely a product of their environment which the highly narcissistic, self entitled, arrogant baby boomers created.
If you look at the majority of the current problems in America you can see it is directly related to the baby boomers.
of course you are right , but must you always prove a point? my 3 kids are millenials. we all have our quirks . we can all laugh a little at each others qurks from time to time. so chill out and enjoy a little humor.

Needs a verse about all the Millenials fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. They're the ones that do the dying for us.
Amen, dude. But it's not very trendy to not pick on the "easy target." This automatically is going to resonate with almost everybody over 30, because people are complete idiots blind to their own flaws, and filled with shadenfreude and bitterness. Baby boomers are fucking dolts that created the shit economy millenials get to struggle with, while also accepting all of the blame for it because SOMEBODY ELSE (usually of the OLDER generations) gave them, *gasp*, a participation trophy. I really wish that all the millenials that I go to school with to be biomedical engineers could deny pacemakers, etc, to people like this. They want to shit on us for being stuck with the shitty world they've created, they shouldn't get to take part in the benefits of the work we do to make it better.
***** Apparently every generation likes to blame the younger generation beneath them for all the shit they've done to the world. Nah, I wonder why it took baby boomers and older generations so long to do away with segregation, misogyny, etc. Apparently, some of them still haven't let it go, hence, president elect trump.
Reggie Brightside murder, rape and basically every single violent crime happens at a higher rate in America. Google it or something. Europeans think americans are violence mad gun nuts. so do most American scholars although they use slight more pleasant language.
Reggie Brightside by your country you mean the US? A country built by immigrants on a land they stole and where they human beings from another continent? Also you know that some Americans are also Arabs, right?
Those are conservative young people raised with the right morals not millennials

Then who's generation is at fault for giving them trophies for participating lol.
^^ That right there, brilliance :D ROFL loved it.
Their hippy parents who are equally useless
The kids who sucked at sports in school and instead of bettering themselves or finding their personal strengths in other places, became retarded adult morons who think kids should think they rule at everything to build up a false confidence so they become cocky little fuckers who think we owe them everything while they do sweet FA other than "participate" in life. At a guess :)

I'm a millennial, and I agree with previous generations criticizing us because we are disappointing. From the fact that most of us believe we are so entitled to the fact that must of us are sensitive. I was raised differently I guess.

I like your response. I’m in the same boat. By the way Moonriver, just telling someone to shut up instead of arguing with facts is pretty pathetic. Get educated. Then, you might have a response worth reading.

No we're not. Were the most progressive most knowledgeable while living a life previous generations royally screwed up.
Everyone's parent were racist homophobes that worked like slave. O yes & we're woke
Terrence Smith knowledgeable? Most people my age I know can't change a tire or their oil.
I'm always tickled whenever someone uses the "participation trophy" example, as if kids who got them weren't smart enough to realize their trophies were meaningless. The consequences of these trophies actually ended up having the opposite effect that everyone says they had, and rather than being an undeserved confidence boost, it make these kids feel like any compliments or accolades they received from adults after that were meaningless and only meant to make them feel better.
But sure, they made kids think they were awesome. Just go with that I guess.
(slow clap)
Actually.. the anti-Trump protests tell a different story than what you are saying.
I disagree with you there. Many kids are pretty self-centered and stupid so anytime you reward them then it makes them feel important and like they've accomplished something...when all they really did was get a trophy for showing up.
David Welsh then what about the anti Obama protests that trump asked for?
Shelby Drummond , they weren't violent nor involve chants about killing or rapinh anyone. Not all millennials are like that, I say again, but too many are.

topflight408 I work as a Senior Lifeguard (a manger of sorts) at a year round pool typically from 5:45 am to 10:45 am, sometimes later. After that i start my next job at at another pool typically from 2pm-10pm 5 days a week where I am sort of second in charge/manager of the guards and after those summer months (June- November is their summer season) i'll go down to about 20h/week. Then to round out my 7 day work week, I work Sundays at a comic book shop. I have an EMT licence, I'm apart of a Volunteer Fire Department that meets every Tuesday evening for training. On occasion I do EMT or Lifeguard work for a medical standby group. Yes I know I'm not the stereotypical "millennial" so this shouldn't upset me and that I should have thicker skin, but when a term that labels your entire generation is used in what seems to be a derogatory term that thick skin gets rubbed real thin.

My generation's (gen-x) biggest failure was our parenting. We helicoptered over our kids and filled their time with rigidly scheduled adult-supervised activities. We put them under what amounted to house arrest and never allowed them to explore the world on their own out of unsubstantiated and irrational fears of a kidnapper around every corner. We sheltered them from every unpleasant emotion we could. We boosted their self-esteem even when it was undeserved. Yeah, we screwed up.
+GenXRanter
Haha Oh shut the fuck up. This is the biggest problem with you millennials; You blame other people for your problems, but you don't do a fuckin' thing that's productive.
As a result, you blame white people for "structures of power." You blame men for "a wage gap." You're so fucking quick to point the finger at someone else, while not even realizing it's making you racist, sexist, and bigoted in the process.
The only thing millennials have contributed to society are fake genders and blog rants. That's it.
Can't wait to see how you point the finger yet again.
+CraftyMiscreant Generation-X came before millennials. Millennials or Generation Y are supposedly born between the years 77-94 according to google.
Which means that GenXRanter is most likely taking responsibility for the entirety of gen-x for the attitude and behavior of millennials.
Maybe do your research before you point fingers?
AJ Banks
Ah. Sorry AJ. This post was actually meant for someone else. I posted it to the wrong comment. My mistake, and my apologies. Carry on.
That's a bold statement considering what you guys did to the housing market and college tuition.
+Stefan Pursell, I don't understand the correlation of your comment on this particular thread. I hope to help clarify any confusion you have in regards to your financial concerns. But firstly, don't blame an entire generation for problems exclusive to the U.S.
The housing market is affected by mostly the economy. When crime runs rampant, the economy suffers. Pirating movies or songs has a large influence on the economy. The more money spent legally, the better the economy. Crime doesn't have an age and the recession of 2008 had many adult Millennials (1977-1994 babies) as it did Baby Boomers (1946-1964 babies) and Gen-X (1965-1976 babies).
As for College tuition, the price of class has gone up due to the increased demand and dropout of students. The low, low prices your parents and grand parents tell you about were low because employers didn't require degrees, let alone diplomas in most cases. Since there wasn't a high need to continue education after high school, Americans didn't go to college unless their chosen field absolutely required it.
College tuition has gone up to accommodate the increase of students in the past years, and to deter people who are less serious about getting a degree from wasting university or college resources.
I'm a millennial and I approve of this song
me too.
Thank you Jazzy Faye and Fragile 72! It's maturity like this that makes me have faith we will be just fine when the Millennial generation is in charge even more than they are right now. Micah is also a millennial. I don't think millennials are any different than any other generation in history, we have all had some less than admirable characteristics. Digital media just makes it easy to do stuff like this and the millennial generation is the lucky brunt.
yep, me too. hilarious AND well put together!
As a millennial, and musician, this song is very well approved. If the generations before us wants to push us down, it's their problem. My motto is that people are idiots, unless proven otherwise.
So do I, Jazzy! So do I!
Funny because this guy is 36 years old which puts him among the official age range for Millenials
Dont like to disagree with a lady .. but .. 36 means hes not a millenial..
@@tonynotacluejabrony7455 Hi I had a look on Wikipedia and it says Millenials are born between 1980-1994 but maybe it's wrong.

So Watermark Chuck says, 'encouraging people to see past the stereotypes and recognizing the unique potential that millennials have.' We'll never see that potential if they never start!
I am a millenial and I was disgusted when I found many of my college friends didn't know how to change a tire, just how to call AAA
This isn't recognizing the unique potential they have. This is mocking the generation quite deservedly.
It's just making a lil fun. We all know that we all aren't like this.
+BooomBooom97 good to know. Sometimes there are stereotypes for a reason. Fortunately, seeing the good ones restores my faith in the future just a smidge.
Keep the humor? Hey thanks for the 16 trillion dollar debt. When most of us were born there was no deficit. In just the last 8 years the national debt of this nation has doubled. HAHAHHAHAHA So funny! Everyone laugh at this generation having to take on all this debt all while not being able to work in the first place....
Talk to Obama.
Why it the millennials who voted him into office. That and along with the dead and fictional characters.

Not all of them but a lot are seriously deserving of the label snowflake or worse. They think that being able to google something is knowledge and experience.
+sequoyah59 - "snowflake" heh heh
What constitutes knowledge and experience?
Sitting in a library reading a book or reading on the internet?
I don't know how going to a library to search for information isn't the same as looking online. At least online you can check for reliability and bias. In books you just have to assume it is unbiased and reliable unless the author tells you so, which they never would.
Within this decade, millions of Baby Boomers will be looking for a fat 30-40 year retirement.
What is so significant about these people, that enables them to seek that kind of retirement?
In-fact, (I'm 19) and my father (59) is retiring in 2 days and my mother (57) next year.
Everyone thinks they're a snowflake.
Knowledge and experience isn't something found 70 years ago, Google is knowledge, a book is knowledge, Working in a cafe is experience, working in clinical placements is experience.
You could be a paramedic without any education 6-10 years ago, now you need to study for 3 years. An alarming number of paramedics in NSW, Australia are people 2 decades from retirement, meaning if you study for paramedicine, you have to wait another decade before you can actually get a job or you can go out into the country or move to a third world country to make a living.
So how do you attain experience as a paramedic? You don't, you wait until all your education has been forgotten.
And this applies to thousands of other jobs around the world.
Experience is knowledge and knowledge is experience. You can become a paramedic where you are taught through knowledge. Then you get out there in the real world and "MAKE IT" with Determination and Tenacity and a Will Power of not GIVING UP! This is Experience that will mold you into a man or woman that you will become. Never take a no when you need a yes. You may have to look hard and long; but you will find it and it will be all the sweeter because you overcame your difficulties. The trauma and drama will be part of your foundation and makeup of your personality. You will learn and you will teach others what you have learned and with luck you will be inspirational to all that know you.
If you fail and you will; learn to pull yourself up, and try again and again until you get it right. Learn not to complain or grip because it is a waste of valuable time and energy. Learn to take a step back and look at the problem from a different perspective and do it again. Then you will have succeed even if you fail for you have learned not to give up on yourself. Learn to look outside the box; learn to ask for help, direction, instruction, learn to listen and accept constructive criticism, no matter where it comes from. Sometimes, your worst critics can provide the correct answer to your problem(s), not realizing that they were helping you instead of trying to bring you down.
If you become a paramedic and the field is full, then take the next step and become a nurse, doctor's assistant, or even a doctor. Take lemons and learn to make lemonade. You are 19 now, but, you have your whole life in front of you. I hope you take my advice and learn from your mum and dad and make their experience your own. Good Luck.
Oh yea, here are two Latin phrases you need to learn: 1.) Scienita Potentia Est 2.) Docendo Discimus
For those out there that are reading this, you too should look it up. Good Luck.
Will power and tenacity only pay off so much. I kept trying and trying to put in resumes, and in the end, the job I am doing but not being paid for yet wasn't earned. I got lucky. If anybody tells me I got my job from hard work, I will look them in the eye and say "that's bullshit, I just got lucky."
Magnificent, superb, hilarious...such entertainment. You are so talented! Thanks
Nothing wrong with living at home as long as you're in school and/or working! Way more economical in this economy.
If you're not living off your parents then yes it's okay if you're trying to better yourself via school or saving for a house
@@samchristopher5327 As long as you're contributing. I know myself personally- I could not live alone. So if I hadn't met my husband, I probably still would be at home. But I'd be helping out with home care, groceries, etc. And of course this would only be if they were okay with it. (Which I know they would have been.) But even when living at home I worked and went to school. Helped out any way I could around the house, yard, and with the pets.
Not everyone could afford a house on their own. The economy is horrible and with student debt it would be hard, if you're alone, saving up for a house on top of paying off student loans, paying for gas, groceries, etc.
Renting is an option but not for everyone either. Rent can be almost as expensive as house payments, and heaven forbid you have pets, you usually are extremely limited or have to pay out your ass to find a place to rent that allows pets.
I do believe it has to be okay with both your parents and yourself, and I'm completely against free loading. But if you contribute then there's no problem with it. And to me this goes both ways. If there's ever a time where they have to move in with us, as long as we can I'd gladly let them move in. But then again my parents and my husband and I have a great relationship and are always back and fourth helping each other.
Yes!!! Please pray hard for the millennials. My generation.
If you're smart enough to know y'all need prayer, you're probably going to do just fine ;) but everyone needs Jesus!
I'm praying hard for Millennials and the last generation. Men do not want to lead any more. Women were never meant to be successful on their own and go to live in their own house by themselves. They were never supposed to leave their family until they were married. That's the whole problem. Few male leaders. I think my generation was the last of traditional roles. Sadly. Women started taking their jobs out if necessity. Economist told me this a long time ago that is why there's an Abrupt shift in roles and increasing need for daycares and nursing homes. No wife is home to care for their own family or extended family.
@@francieodendahl9351 Ummm how do you explain women Boudicca Warrior Queen Of The Iceni (destroyed Colchester, St. Albans, and London trying to free her people from Roman tyranny and send the Roman's packing back to Rome)?? Or Queen Catherine Of Aragon (saved her husband's kingdom while he was at war in France), Queen Elizabeth I (never married brought England into its Golden Age known as the greatest monarch England has ever had even unto today), Queen Isabella Of Castille (she held more power and prestige than her husband did, her death devalued her daughter as a royal bride), Joan Of Arc, Grace O'Malley, Catherine The Great, Empress Theodora (her husband was gonna turn tail and run from his people, she refused to go saying "Royal Purple is the noblest of shrouds".
I am classified as a millennial. I am the total opposite. My parents taught me the value of working hard. Worked full time, and went to college full time. Paid as I went out of my own pocket. I barely Facebook. Nothing else. I guess I am old school like my parents.
Millennials are far beyond prayer. It's my generation, too, but I know this is a lost cause.
I find it ironic when adults complain about participation trophies when they are the ones handing them out.
Yap the adults are guilty party. SO WHAT is the cry baby cries.... ARE adults willing to raise their kids, or just leave them alone as long as they are not crying....??? ADULTS ARE LAZY
Everyone I know fought against the participation trophies hard in my school district. We were told to go away because common core and all that jazz.
It’s the shifting between the generations. A millennial once gave me a participation trophy. My dad told me that it meant nothing and explained in detail why it was worthless. I didn’t keep it.

Love it! As an example of the snowflake syndrome, I just heard today of a high school in North Carolina doing away with valedictorian and salutatorian at graduation because it "fosters unhealthy competition." I just shook my head in amazement at the stupidity.
Exactly.
Seriously? "Unhealthy competition" People need to open their eyes and realize life is a competition and everyone is not equal. If you are a hard worker you are going to do better in life and if you sit around you SHOULD fail. Our world is going to shit.
+TheCakeMachine I couldn't agree more!
First off, I have to say I absolutely LOVE this song! True, yet so sad. Those NC grads have got a BIG surprise coming! Our kids are 21 yrs apart from top to bottom, so we've seen the deterioration of our schools over time. It's been our experience that much of the blame lies squarely on the self-absorbed parents. Tried private schools. Better, but just couldn't afford it. Finally reached the point of exasperation (Great Schools rating had dropped from 9 to 2 by this time), so I decided to do it myself. It was the scariest thing I've ever done, because there's only one chance to get it right. To my amazement, I discovered there is an enormous homeschooling community that helped me through it all. Best of all, it can all be done for almost nothing! It was easier for me to purchase a pre-planned curriculum written by professional educators.Youngest son just finished his third year at an internationally-ranked university, is studying engineering, and he WILL graduate at the end his 4th year. Although it's a land-grant university funded by American taxpayers, there are only about 30% Americans on the engineering campus. Think about that! The American students are mostly on the other side of campus enjoying black-out drunk nights and semi-automatic degrees in majors that reward all students with passing grades. As they say, "C's get degrees!" And the parents are SO proud at graduation, even though the only job offers pay about $12/hour - barely enough to maintain the iPhone data plan and drinks at the club de jour. The international engineering students, on the other hand, put on a full-court press when it comes to academics. There are billions of people on this planet connected together through the internet, creating much more competition for talent. That competition is still demanding excellence. Time to wake up, America!
I totally agree with it being stupid. Challenges should make them proud of their achievements they've earned! In my opinion, just handing them this "stuff" just takes the fun out of it
Idk how I’m just now seeing this. BRILLIANT!! I love it from beginning to end, spot on.
Thats so beautiful. I dance and then I cried, wishing I could be there with you. Thank for charing, and my God bless you. ms
I can't stop laughing -- the Beatles would be proud---this is a riot
Yes
Michael Chernik what is the tune of this song?!?!! I can't think of the title to save my life
THE BEATLES OBLADI-OBLADA it was driving me nuts to.
I have never personally met a single millennial who is a selfish brat, and any that are encountered online are usually given the blasting they deserve. If you want to rise above the mistakes of our predecessors, you need to stop generalizing generational gaps, else you just make the problem worse.
Basically, let's just fast forward this cliched movie and skip to the end where we all learn to get along.
+MariktheGunslinger I mean, the guy who is singing this song is a Millennial by definition. Unless he's way older than he looks. And I completely agree with the over generalization. He pretty much said all Millennials are hipsters.
+Quen Loust he is not a millennial he is a GenX, I have yet to see a Millennial that has 9 child hood songs that include 80's movie soundtracks like labyrinth
So, he's 37+ years old? Damn. Considering Millennials are 1980-2000.
I find this hilarious. Every generation goes through this. My parents tell me that their generation was the best. Their parents tell them that their's was the best. My grandmother thinks that my parent's generation was lazy, my parents think my generation is lazy. Arrogance is a prime example of all generations thinking their the best. And then having the next level of stupid to call the next generation narcissistic. It's a never ending circle of shit. Society has to label EVERYTHING for their own amusement. And it gets people no where.
That is not why People hate millennials.
First off for the fact that they have an over abundance of information at their finger tips they utilize about 15% of it. Ask a Millennial who Genghis Khan is with out letting them search google they can't, yet Gen X, Boomers, Golden Gens can. We might all go through thinking we know it all, but millennials take it to a whole new level. Millennials all believe Socialism is the way to go but don't know what it is, they think it means free money, collage, and ways of life. Although when actually told what it is 93% of them change their views. How is this? Because people like Obama, and Clinton and My Generation have allowed society to deem what our children should learn and not spoken up about it.
Millennials feel entitled to everything because growing up people told them no child left behind and everyone was equal.... that is BS not everyone is equal, does that mean that people can never obtain an equal status? No, but the world will never be equal, that is what creates strive and greatness in society, that is what allows us to discovery new inventions and theories of mathematics and science. If you want that CEO job or that 8 figure or 9 figure a year job you had to work really hard, harder than the next guy you had to be better faster and all around not equal to the guy beside you. Millennials don't believe this they believe the stoner living at home with his mom and dad should have the same chance to gain that 9 figures as the kid that is 19 lives in a 3 bed room apartment cause he works his ass off and is going to collage. when and entire generation believes that everything should be presented to them weather they are deserving or not is not Gen X and is not Boomers or Golden.
yes every generation thinks their generation is better than the previous and visa versa, and every teenager to 25 year old think they know everything. That will never change but the views and mentalities of generation to generation have greatly changed. My Generation GenX were the Generation that made the Video Game industry what it is, it is the Generation that suffered to make being a NERD a good thing. Beyond that we didn't do much, other than break molds in the work force. Our Predecessors would get a job and hold that for 30 - 50 years then retire. Gen X made the break out to achieve goals that weren't previously thought, we learned faster and switch jobs to fit us not taking Jobs that society needed us to fit. we broke through the image that woman couldn't be a strong force in the Corporate world.
What do Millennials have.
Google
Social Media
lack of ambition to work hard for greater returns
self entitlement in due part to everyone being equal
lack of ambition to move out their parents house
now does this cover 100% of people born between 1980 - 200 no. Just like not every GenX or Boomer is a great person. So read through this and before anyone says, "Well I know a lot of Millennials and they are not this way." Take into consideration that you less than 1% of people, hell 93% of people know less than .0024% of people in their respective Continent and .0032516% of the worlds population. So where yes the 20 people or 100 people you know may not fit into this 100% these stereotypes or these qualities are here not because we make them up... but because they are present. making excuses for Millennials and allowing this behavior is the fault of GenX and Boomers and now we have to live with it, but defending and saying they are the same as the previous Generations is a statement so wrong that i can't fathom the amount of stupidity in the statement.
Michael Jacobson Millennials aren't assholes. Assholes are assholes. The more we label things, the more separated we become. I'm through with labels. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and leave media shock statistics on the floor where they belong.
