This model gets a lot of hate because it doesn't have solar power panel. I have plenty of G-Shocks in my collection with no solar power and they are still going strong after 10 years. Casio has a very good track record when it comes to battery life for their watches, and the battery only costs 2 or 3 bucks. 🤷🏾♂️
Very nice watch the gg b100 i have the olive version. But this all black one looks also great. And with the Phone functions it is very easy to setup any way you like.
WOW that was pretty amazing... but, if your device decides to run out of battery and you need other modes, is there an option to adjust this directly on the watch? As always my friend, great content covered :)
It's a great watch man. I have the one with the green strap and just it a lot for gym and running. Carbon core is just so comfortable. Lots of functions built into this for a very fair price. Im a massive fan of the G-Shock Connected app too. It saves a lot of time and very intuitive. Hope the location indicator function evolves over time to do pre-determined locations without having to visit them physically first. Thanks for the video as ever man... Cheers
Solar is a must for me at that price point. There are $100 G-shocks that I would absolutely buy for $300-$400 if all they changed was that it was solar. I now have worn my GW-A1100 for 6 years and even though the Mudmaster has way more functions, I never felt the desire to buy it because my current watch was still going strong. Simplistic as it is, it has a compass and the basic G-shock functions. Batteries have a shelf life and for post society, SHTF scenarios, it's good to have a reliable solar watch. (I finally got a Mudmaster GWG1000 but will still wear my GW-A1100 regularly.)
I will stick to my 5081 . I have replaced battery in all the years Ive had in and never a drop of water has seeped inside. Keeps great time and has more features than I can handle.
@Zafer Akca I've only had to change out a Tough Solar battery once. And that's because the rechargeable cells that came with the PRG-50 were not made to the quality of today's rechargeable cells.
Talking about Mudmaster battery replacement, after almost two years, my GG-1000's battery died. I could replace it myself but I can't pressure test the watch. So, to California it goes.
This made up my mind! Thanks. I was thinking of the rangeman and this one. But having to modify the display of this watch, i am choosing this one now. 😊
If all the GWN-Q1000's features were married into this GG-B100 size (the Gulfmaster is a tad bit too big) and its additional features, it would be the perfect Master of G for me. I love the extended length of the Mudmaster's barometric graphical history and the ability to statically set the altimeter to sea-level. And just like others that have commented, I'd like to have Tough Solar, Multi-band 6 and a sapphire crystal as well. That would be the perfect G.
Exactly! This is the reason why I still wear my GWG-1000, even after 4 and a half years the watch face is clearer to look at and has no scratches compared to my GG-B100 where I am always afraid of scratching the mineral glass
Would you consider doing a video about why no actual mudmasters or other newly great ghocks like the ggb100, gwg1000 dont get the snooze alarme ? Despite the gg1000 being the only but just dual sensor
Any g shock watch that doesn't have solar charging sucks IMO. All these features but at the end have to replace battery. I'll stick with my Gw9400 Rangeman
@আহমদ ইর্তিজা But who wants to take the time out of there day to replace a battery when you could just have solar charging. Technology isn't going backward, its going forward and with the watch community many watches and watch brands are starting to go solar-powered powered even smart watches like the garmin fenix 6x pro or garmin instinct solar powered. Or g shock gbd1000. Dont work harder, work smarter
I found the world wont turn in world time mode without the stopwatch synced up to the top of the hour. So, I start the stopwatch at the top of every hour to get that 100ths of a second before I switch from duel time mode to world time (utc). this watch has like 2 version of it. if you lock the screw (digitally through the app by pressing the button). it will change from utc to (utc). I think its suppose to mimic a screw down digitally or something. it wont jump around if its not "locked"
Just bought one of these today, discounted 'cause it was in the jeweller's display case for two years - connected to the app and, boom, away it went. Got it for hiking, survivalist, exploration, and evasion camping - looking for an explanation of the altitude and barometric differential and what units the increments on the watch face are supposed to represent. I'm assuming the increments have a multiplier - just want to know what that is for baro and alti.
Looks like I just found the answer, lol: the incremental unit for + and - differential represents 1 metre per unit: a 5 represents 5 metres + or -. Anything over or under 15 metres (represented just left of the big 9 digit) cues cumulative ascent or descent update - but looks like baro is a little more complicated 1 unit represents 1 hPa over 2 hour intervals or 0.1 hPa over 2 minute intervals, max allowance being + or - 10 hPa or 1 hPa depending on intervals and second hand will point to "under" or "over," just left of large 9 digit, when limit is exceeded. Think I will finish reading the manual before I start asking questions. 😂
The gwg-1000 has to learn from this watch, the only thing that I miss on the ggb it's the solar power, if Casio decide to install that in a newer version of this model I will buy it.
A nice original design with very few colors will usually look better than an all blacked out version in my opinion. These newer G shocks are still not my style, the original squares are now classics, these just look overcomplicated and bulky to me. I do like the finishing on this though, all the carbon, and the pattern on the band. It would look amazing on a square G.
Casio failed with this watch by not giving it Tough Solar. ABC uses a lot of power as it is, plus the gg-b100 has Bluetooth to make it even more power hungry if you make use of it. Solar probably would not have cost much more anyway considering casio makes $50 solar watches already. I guess they were worried no one would buy the gwg1000 if this did have solar at a cheaper price.
That's weird, I've had mine for 9 months now and use it everyday for work. I work in the Forestry cutting trees down and the beast of a watch gets pretty dirty. And the bezel still looks good, a few scratches and little nicks but no cracks.

It’s funny to force people call plastic a “resin”. It’s plastic, plastic fantastic. But talking rugged, it has moving parts (hands), and there’s no reason a specialized watch to have old methods of display, make it digital and get rid of the moving parts that creates momentum on impact.

This GG-B100 has been my daily driver since January, no chips in my bezel. And I treat this watch just like a G-Shock would be treated. It gets the normal amount of knocks into walls, hand railings, doors and such. Bezel is holding up just fine.

@@SupaBuma The bezel doesn't need carbon fibre, its just for show, that is why they have those large rubber guards around the bezel. The bezel cracks beneath those rubber guards, so its not noticeable. The caron fibre design looks epic though!

Your phone should have G-Shock protection man !
But doesn't the rangeman have the same features with solar charging?
@@NAMICA.Watches I like digital analogue, but they are way to expensive compared to the digital counterparts. Also I suck at reading analogue so I like them only for style. I have the rangeman and it's a part of my body at this point.
Most tend to forgot the distance navigation function that no Master of G have other than this Mudmaster.
@@gshockhighfashion ya i can totally vouch, cause i forgot the distance navigation function myself. i still prefer the rangeman but its not fair to compare the watches as they offer different features. Love the design of the mudmaster but sadly I have a bais for digitals only.
pretty similar to protrek prt b50 which is a lot cheaper.
the protrek is better value wise.
Hello ! Can i buy safely in this buyee.jp?
I got the exact same watch but the box it came in was the tin can. American version sucks. :(
Still a nice watch tho and it has been my EDC ever since.
I always spend a little bit more if there're JDM ver. available rather getting a non-JDM at lower price. Better experience.
How much price it is
This is to Casio why don't you make it SOLAR POWER
💰
G shock: this watch will get you women improve your credit score and extend your life
Watch nuts: No solar! I'll pass
