Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 лип 2021
- We were lucky enough to be invited to Wat Ong Teu Temple in Vientiane by a Lao Buddhist monk called Oy who showed us around and gave us a temple tour. we also interviewed him about his experience being a Buddhist monk, what his daily life is like as a monk and we asked him for advice and life lessons! He is such a kind and friendly soul and we feel blessed to have met him.
Please check out his YT channel and Subscribe to him, it would be great to see him make more videos about what life is like in Laos as a Buddhist Monk!

@@OYLANLA-Channel Sabiadee 🙏🏻. Just an idea to you Oy, maybe you should change your UA-cam name to something related to you being a monk. So that way it will bring in more subscribers. For example; ‘A monk daily life in Lao with Oy’. Something that tells the viewers to want to watch your channel. Good luck 🙏🏻
@@PatKithiraj I think about it. I will change to be short one.

super nice
In 1827 the Thai Siam expeditionary army destroyed Vientiane to the roots to punish the "treachery" of the king Chao Anouvong (his statue stands on the river bank near the night market). When the French arrived and took over East part of the Lao lands they archived all the ruins in Vientiane. There were 38 temples but due to the severity of the destruction they managed to restore only four of them and the That Luang. Wat Ong Teu was the first to be rebuilt due to its holiness for the Vientianese who escaped the slavery in Siam (West side of the Mekong) and got back home.
Wow what a great history to know. Northern Thailand today was Lao territory.

Can you discribes your experience and feeling for being in the temple? I felt relaxed and peaceful watching this video. Thank you guys such a great video. Stay well.
We left the temple feeling very calm and happy, Oy was so friendly and welcoming and it was a lovely place to visit especially around sunset when the light shines on the temple, all the colours are so vibrant. With the chanting too it really is an experience. So beautiful!

Never wanted to hit a gong so much! 😂
I’d be really surprised if Olivia didn’t have this song in mind “ Ring my bell” by Anita Ward 🤣
Laos 🇱🇦 only in the world
Awesome video, I''ll be in Viettiane later this month. I don't care too much about Lao food, but its ok. Maybe because I've been raised on food from the West and Mexico.
Awesome 😁 When you're here, if you like tacos, head to Bacan cafe, some of the best Chilean/Latin food here!
@@TravelsonToast I saw your Pizza video too, If they are open I might just try that too.

Hello guys. Maybe someday we can go out together for a road trip.
There's "REAL SPIRIT BEINGS" that lives in those Buddhist Statues.... .... .... ....Sometimes the spirit beings will appear on camera.... .... .... ....
Oh wow!! That's amazing 🙏🙏🙏
🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👌👍😎💘
Lao people stay in the Buddhist temple no payment or save money because all people support
you dont need paperwork to be a monk. maybe because he got a discount for school? im from America and went to visit my grandmother and became a monk in her village for 3 days. all you have to do is talk to the head monks and get blessed in by saying prayers/chants and do the same thing when u want to stop being a monk
Because 3day we can talk with head monks because it’s short time. For me become to the monk for studying and I have to do a paperwork before. If become to the monk only 3days 7days 15days and 3 mounts don’t have to do a paperwork.
@@OYLANLA-Channel I see. great English btw

Is it the same in Laos?
@@videosdematt yeah. The same.
Trust me, nobody is perfect in English or any language in this world. Keep practicing! Education is a never ending process.
1 Mark 13:35: "... watch therefore, for ye do not know when the master of the house comes: evening, or midnight, or cock-crow, or Morning ". This goes in the same sense as Ezekiel 1:19-21...
2 And although perfection is not man’s business and that he is not ready, he wants to hear that "the rapture is for such a year ..." There has been a multitude of false dates but he wants more. But unfortunately, he wants it from everywhere and from anyone. And yet throughout the Bible, it is only the Spirit of Daniel who has the notion of times. Check that from Genesis to Revelation. No prophet except for Daniel. And it is Daniel who made use of the expressions of time first: "a time and times and a half time", and Daniel 7:12 says:"... a season and a time" andnot "some time" as Louis Segond says. Similarly: "2300 evenings [and]mornings" not 2300 days and nights, but evenings and mornings as we see it in Esther. "70 weeks, 1260 days, 1290 days, 1335 days ..." thus, in Daniel 7:12, it is question of: "for a season and a time" and not "for some time".
3 And if God permits, I will devote a preaching to that, and to the characters in the book of Daniel! ... I do say, "If God permits" because He alone knows if it will not be subject to different interpretations from false brothers.
4 Have you seen the imprint of all the Spirits of God in the book of Revelation? That's it! But today I want to indicate the rapture in a general sense. According to the Bible, is it in the evening, at midnight, at the cock-crow or in the morning? And yet, the evening time has passed and the morning which Mark 13:35 talks about is the time of the visitation of Asia and the Arab nations.

Olivia (?) should have worn a Lao sin, I could not see from the video. The monk should not have been making money from his photography. It seems, from his interview, that his monkhood is a path for him to get an education, a means to an end.
