Luang Prabang is a special place and I am so grateful to share my experience here with you today! The NEXT episode from further north in Nong Khiaw drops VERY SOON so SUBSCRIBE NOW and never miss an upload ❤🇱🇦❤
will you go to the 4000 Islands Paddy ? so many beautiful places in Laos, i am happy for you, Zelda is always with you, and both will come back together to Thailand💕☝
Paddy, we have been watching and following you since you quit your teaching job. We must say you are one of our favourite travelers. Your child-like genuine excitement about natural beauty of south east Asia is contagious. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks
Paddy I’m 63 and worked hard and long to get out of poverty. I really enjoy your well done videos on my 65” OLED! I no longer can walk like I used to and am not wealthy enough to travel everywhere. I also live in a very cold part of the USA. Your videos help me enjoy life more than words can say. Thank you for you hard work! May you be free from hostility, danger, mental, physical, and spiritual suffering. May all beings, seen and unseen, in all realms and planes of existence bless you. May all beings feel inner peace and happiness. Satu Satu Satu 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you so much for featuring our tours, Paddy. We’re glad we were able to answer all of your questions. It was so exciting having you join us to learn more about Buddhism in Laos.
Is there a double like button? Ever since you said you were going to Laos, this was the vlog I was waiting for. I was in Luang Prabang in 2012. In a trip visiting Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, this was the surprise of the trip. So beautiful and laid back. We just rode bicycles everywhere. We went to that waterfall and there was a rope swing attached to one of the trees. Made use of it and had so much fun on a hot day. We also went to Tea 56 and had cold Beerlao's. Great Banh Mi's in this town too! Epic vlog, Paddy! You represented it so beautifully!
I was there 5 years ago and the waterfall, as you said is the most stunning beautiful waterfall I've ever seen. I've seen Victoria Falls and Iguazu Falls and each is stunning in it's own way but for sheer beauty these Falls are the best. I have a photo of the main Falls that I put on canvas and I love it. Laos is a hidden gem of a country.
We are LOVING your Lao videos!!! We were there in November 2007 and it has changed a lot! Your videos make me want to back. Luang Prabang is so special… one of my favorite places on earth. I hope you stay in Laos for a long time so we can see much more!!!
Thank you for saying this, Paddy. I thought I had walked into an enchanted forest and discovered something that only the gods could make. The cascading shelves, the colors in the water, etc. were almost stimuli overload. It’s really like no other place I’ve been too. I immediately think of Chiang Dao in the same category as places of dreams where the reality is so much better than anything we are capable of imagining.
LP is a magical place. The peaceful vibe. The food is incredible. Simple, but amazing fresh tastes. My favourite are the street stalls in the night market. Those waterfalls are glorious. There are a bunch of other amazing waterfalls too. The caves down the river are great too. The most difficult thing is to slow down and appreciate everything.
Paddy, I think this is your best one yet. The water at the waterfall looks like some rivers in NZ. They have a mineral dissolved in the water which gives them that colour and shine. Great job. This is my favourite so far. 🙏🙏🙏
Agree that this is one of Paddy's best. Luang Prabang is one the most beautiful places I have visited and deserves to be shown in the best possible way.
Paddy, this video is exactly what I needed!! Just landed in LP with no plans and hoping to stay away from anything too touristy. You’ve given me my itinerary! Thank you for this video and all that you do! Great work!! 😊
I’ve been looking forward to this episode and not disappointed. Luang Prabang is probably my favourite place in SE Asia. I visited the falls early also and had the place to myself. A surreal and beautiful experience.
Just epic Paddy! I love Luang Prabang, it is heaven on Earth. Those aqua turquoise waters at the falls are just epic! Just amazing! I could just sit in the pools for days, looking at the falls. One of your best videos ever.
Spectacular views!! The alone time was fantastic! Lovely to see green cities! Too many urban sprawls causing congestion and population! Thank god for UNESCO!
Have been at this waterfall in 2006. There´s a way to climb up at the side of the waterfall and cross it at the top. Had a wonderful time in Luang Prabang. Enjoy your travels and thank you for sharing your experiences with us! 🙏
Thanks for the reminiscence Paddy, LP is a wonderful place. I was involved in encouraging the government authorities to retain the culture and architecture of LP in the early 1990's and was very happy to hear it attained the world heritage registration. We were spurred into action at the sight of the horrendous 60's architecture of the replacement Post Office building. It was heartening to see the sympathetic restoration of the old buildings and Laos / French colonial style architecture, as I've not been back since 2005. Hats off to the Laos authorities for their achievements.
Paddy, these new vlogs are absolutely amazing!! It’s a shame that you’ve already used “Next Level “ because Laos is genuinely next level!! Keep up your excellent work
Went to Luang Prabang few days before lockdown in 2020. Truly a wonderful & lovable place the moment i set foot on this country. It's my dream to live one day in Laos. Well said, it is really heaven on earth. ❤️❤️❤️🌎
This was one of my favorites. The waterfall, the views at the Wat, the drive through town, it was all great. My favorite part about SE asia is just driving around on a motorbike and experiencing it all. Keep it up Paddy! Thanks for sharing with us.
Good to see the waterfall again .I was there in 2016 , I mainly remember how cold the water was. It took me a few minutes to work up the courage to dive in. After the initial shock, I,m glad I did.
I heard Luang Prabang was stunning, but nothing prepared for the beauty you showed us in this video. The waterfall....just WOW! The views from the temple on the hill were spectacular. Cracking video Paddy, thank you 😉😁
This one has me in all the feels, didn't want it to end! So beautiful and a mixed of everything. Paddy, loved the time lapse of your swimming at the waterfall.
Wow...that waterfall!😍 laos may not have any beautiful beaches or islands but they have breathtaking natural sceneries and mystical waterfalls with turquoise water!
Yeah, I said it a few videos ago when you added that waterfall pic at the end. I said it looked like heaven on earth and the entire tour did not disappoint. What a stunning place. I could sit there for hours, but what surprised me the most was how the entire town was so lovely and peaceful. What a gorgeous little slice of heaven it is. 100% added to the bucket list and probably even number one on that list too. Thanks Paddy. That was lovely.
Great video! I loved Luang Prabang when I visited in April 2015. Waterfall was much more refreshing when it was warmer then. Area reminded me of what the countryside of Thailand was like back in the late 70s. Wonderful people. Hope it doesn’t get spoiled.
Hiya. Paddy. Wow. Beautiful video. That waterfall. Unreal. Thank you for taking us along. Very envious of your travels. What a great experience going on the tour. Glad you got to find out answers to questions you had. What a paradise. Beautiful place. Gorgeous architecture. Epic views. That food market was huge. Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing. Loving this series. Have a great week.
I was particularly taken with the hordes of tourists swimming, shouting and taking selfies at the falls. Really made the place magical for me. Go at 8am or skip.
Paddy thanks for your advice in luang prabang. I visited yesterday the waterfalls at 8 in the morning and the place was all for myself. I even try the restaurant on the river and food was so good. And you are absolutely right driving around with a motorbike is the best way to discover part of laos that are not that turistic.
Beautifully presented Paddy. The waterfalls are stunning , so much beauty. Thank you for sharing you have certainly opened my eyes to how lovely Laos is 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
We are now in Luang Prabang and visited the waterfalls today. We entered it at 8:10 and it was so chill almost walking there alone. Was indeed for us too the most beautiful waterfall we have seen with our own eyes. After 5 months of traveling Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam we could not believe we would be surprised by the beauty of a new country. But do far we do !!!
There is an old path that was blocked off when I was there, we went over the barricade, and it goes half way up the big waterfall. The path is on the opposite side!! That was the only place where we were alone.Absolutely a gorgeous place. I don't love swimming but I swam in most of the pools because it just looked so cool and amazing!! Thanks for jogging my memories. Happy Travels
Hi from Australia!! Absolutely loving the Lao series. Spent a month there in 2005 and has always stuck as one of my favourite places. Am noticing some change though, naturally I guess over that amount of time. When I visited that waterfall near Luang Prabang there was hardly anything there ( bridges, duckwalk, etc). As an aside, I see my beloved Owls who've been languishing in League One have drawn Newcastle for R3 of the FA Cup. All I can say is WAWAW!!
I am speechless. So wonderful. Never been there yet, but after seeing your videi I am determined... Must breath in the paradise... Thanks so much , Paddy
Well those waterfall are worth the trip to Laos, but Laos as much more to offer and Luan prabang is the best city in Laos and one of the best in all of South East Asia. Keep up the great work mate.
Thanks for the great memories. I was there fifteen years ago and so glad to see it hasn’t changed much. You didn’t mention the backpackers so I’m not sure if it’s as affordable as it was back then. You also didn’t mention a local handmade bamboo pedestrian bridge which was spectacular. The people and aura was great ne I’d like to visit again. Thanks!
Hi Paddy, I love you’re video’s! I just finished my visit to Laos and the country has a speciale place in my heart. Like you I was the first visitor that day at the waterfall and it was realy special❤
Wow....clearly the best waterfall we witnessed in your vlog. Even better the one in northern Vietnam. The torqouise colored water reminded me of Lake Phukaki in South Island of NZ. Thks once again Paddy for bringing us to witness this gorgeous place
Paddy. I’m a single bloke and I watch your videos every day. I’ve already planned my next trip using your travel guide and awesome travel tips for Laos! I love watching your videos. It reminds me why I work so hard, so I can enjoy 3 Months every year of amazing travel experiences! Thanks for uploading so frequently. Will you be going to Cambodia soon? Onya Paddy! 👍👍🤙🤙
Went there first I’m in 2002 because a friend sent me a pic of the waterfall and I decided I needed to go. It’s actually more beautiful with the nice bridge there now! There’s actually 2 Waterfallsof LB. The 2nd on the same road. Stopped at some villages and gave out candy I bought before. Been there 3 times and need to go revisit. Hate to correct, but Your pronunciation is not quite correct. It’s Luang Prabang with out the Lang Prabong Luang without Lang. Thanks for a another great video!Again!
WOOW ! Love your video Paddy D., you show pure bliss and breathtaking beauty of Laos most unique place ! Luang Prabang is my alltime fav. city aswell. The countryside is unbeatable and your are right - its heavenly !!Thank you superb Paddy D. best video about Laos!💕👍🎬
I am from the USA. I want to live in Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. They are small charming towns of French colonial architecture. I'm looking for peace and solitude. I don't like the busy lifestyle in America. Americans work too much. There's no time for rest and relaxation.
I was in Luang Prabang in 96 but as it was August and the rainy season, the water falls didn't look as impressive as this. Don't think there was all the walkways as well. I think it's time to revisit Laos, thanks for this series.
Just back from that lovely city, only had 3 days though. Went to a different waterfall but equally beautiful and a must is a trip along the Mekon, so relaxing! Thanks for brining back some recent memories!
Was hoping for a new video today!! Full tiny birds - not yummy Likewise for larvae lol.. Gorgeous shots of Kuang Si.. epic spot and good they've kept it that way over the years, I went there first in 2004/5 I think.. can't believe you went for a swim considering the weather! How cold was it? You got a tubing top?? 😃😃 Can't believe you got all that done before 10am.. that's 2 hours before I generally wake up lol 🤣 You've been blessed with good weather! All the spots brought back some memories. Lovely video, thanks!
Enjoy the game tonight Paddy, a well earned break, after yet another stunning video, I’m lost for words by your art of bringing things to real life to us viewers, it’s like we are there with you, thanks again, with you all the way mate 🙏🏻🙏🏻 LIONS 3-1 🏆🏆⚽️⚽️
Thank you for your videos Paddy! Have used them so much lately. Went to the Kuang Si waterfalls early, super advice. Also did an Orange Robe tour with Tay and that was amazing, and now I’m sure you’ll be pleased to know he’s expecting a baby in Feb!! ❤
Thank you Paddy. I had the good fortune to spend a few days in LP a few years ago and had the same reaction you did. And yes the waterfall is paradisiacal. Your video has spurred me to re- visit
Awesome video Paddy! The cinematography especially of the waterfall was spot on. Didn’t realise the scale of the waterfall till I saw your drone shots.
Just wow, Wow, WOW! That waterfall kept getting better and then more beautiful, and then just over the top! Amazing color in that mineral rich water, amazing! Thank you for sharing with us, and stay safe, Paddy Doyle, love your vlogs!
In 2003, I was a study abroad student at Chiang Mai University from the U.S. During our break, the professors took us to Laos where we had the freedom to explore Laos as we pleased (Again,. this was back in 2003! I am sure it is more restricted now. I went to Luang Prabang (pronounced Luang Braah-Buuung -- not Luang Braaa-BAAANG) with some willing students and we had a blast at this particular waterfall. The formation of the rocks have changed where I was able to stand on the left of the rock right where the waterfall fell from the top. It's too dangerous now to do it. There are secret swimming holes too but I am sure it is closed off to the public now.
Luang Prabang is a special place and I am so grateful to share my experience here with you today!
The NEXT episode from further north in Nong Khiaw drops VERY SOON so SUBSCRIBE NOW and never miss an upload ❤🇱🇦❤
Nong Khiaw is absolutely beautiful
You should take boat along Ou river to Ngoi village. The view is stunning.
Greeting from Thailand.
amazing I was there too
That's the most beautiful place I've ever seen.. I think I'll have to go there on my SE Asia tour next year, thanks for posting Paddy 🙂

Thanks for visiting my homeland. I was born in Laos but grew up in the USA. I’ll visit the northern part of Laos in a few months. Can’t wait.

What an amazing place. Being alone at the waterfall must have been epic. The Laos series is just getting better and better.

Was in Luang Prabang last month - it is such a wonderfully beautiful, slow paced and deeply friendly town. I didn't want to leave!

Loved that swimming action back and forth! Most beautiful waterfall we've ever seen as well. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Have been there quite a few times and LB never loses it's magic. One the top places to see in the world.
I was at the Kuang Si waterfall about ten years ago and agree wholeheartedly that it is the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen.
I'm Laotian fromVientiane capital but I love to go back to Louangprabang often 🥰 Louangprabang is one of fantastic place in Laos to visit 🥰
Just epic Paddy! I love Luang Prabang, it is heaven on Earth. Those aqua turquoise waters at the falls are just epic! Just amazing! I could just sit in the pools for days, looking at the falls. One of your best videos ever.

You also didn’t mention a local handmade bamboo pedestrian bridge which was spectacular. The people and aura was great ne I’d like to visit again. Thanks!

We've had the time of our lives in Southeast Asia ... thanks to you Paddy ... you've nailed it !!
Wow....clearly the best waterfall we witnessed in your vlog. Even better the one in northern Vietnam. The torqouise colored water reminded me of Lake Phukaki in South Island of NZ.

Very beautiful water fall. Can't wait to see your next episode at Nongkeiw. I just shared your video on my Facebook. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
I went there in 2010. Want to live there it’s absolute perfection!
I am from the USA. I want to live in Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. They are small charming towns of French colonial architecture. I'm looking for peace and solitude. I don't like the busy lifestyle in America. Americans work too much. There's no time for rest and relaxation.

Absolutely beautiful and gorgeous place in Laos 🇱🇦
Beautifully done Paddy. That waterfall is even more beautiful. Haven't been there since 2001. Need to get back there. Love riding along with you ❤
Just a fantastic vid, you have captured Luang Prabang in a such a short time perfectly, thank you Paddy. Great work.
I was in Luang Prabang in 96 but as it was August and the rainy season, the water falls didn't look as impressive as this. Don't think there was all the walkways as well. I think it's time to revisit Laos, thanks for this series.
Absolutely love this video. Please make more like this! Thank you! :)
This was a fantastic video. Well done. You captured the magic and feeling of where you were.
Just back from that lovely city, only had 3 days though. Went to a different waterfall but equally beautiful and a must is a trip along the Mekon, so relaxing! Thanks for brining back some recent memories!
A magical place, I don't have the words...
I get it haha
Luang Prabang is a beautiful place, not overly spoilt by tourism. So compact and easy to explore on foot
Love your videos. You find the most beautiful places. Thanks for sharing.😎
Wow, stunning and it’s now on my bucket list!😍😃. Great video! Thanks so much for sharing!🙏
that waterfall is one of most beautiful things I've ever seen
Was hoping for a new video today!!
Full tiny birds - not yummy
Likewise for larvae lol..
Gorgeous shots of Kuang Si.. epic spot and good they've kept it that way over the years, I went there first in 2004/5 I think.. can't believe you went for a swim considering the weather! How cold was it?
You got a tubing top?? 😃😃
Can't believe you got all that done before 10am.. that's 2 hours before I generally wake up lol 🤣
You've been blessed with good weather! All the spots brought back some memories. Lovely video, thanks!
Me too. Gave a hurrah! when the notification came through.
Cheers Ash!
My happy place... have lived there for the last decade and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Still yet to find anywhere in Laos that I'd rather live.
Hi, Paddy been watching your show for years, keep up the great videos, was just wondering which drone model you have?
Thanks paddy...you really have hit a new improved place with your work..have loved this series even more...thanks for sharing...such a special place.
I was here 7 years ago and it's amazing... bcs it's in Laos it isn't to busy like in Bali for example
Wow Paddy, thanks for sharing this epic experience!! Will have to put this on our lists of places to check out👍
What an incredibly beautiful looking city. Amazing.
