    This product definitely changed my skin. It’s so much healthier now. Cerave never agreed with my skin for some reason. Vanicream has even more simple formulas and everything they make is great. Except for their hair conditioner, I really didn’t care for that. (Would recommend Honest Beauty’s fragrance free shampoo and conditioner for long hair!)

    Vanicream especially for someone like me has been life changing and I’ve tried other products which has better ingredients and use honey, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and i thought they would be better for my dry eczema prone skin that gets irritated by a lot of things but to this day i cant find a brand where every single product but one i can use and never get irritation and uses just basic ingredients. I wish i could use this product but I’m not sure if its the hyaluronic acid irritating my skin or the squalane because I’ve noticed squalane irritates my skin and someone hyaluronic acid can also. Awesome video.

    I love the Vanicream facial moisturizer. My skin is quite dry so I use it more as a serum. I top it off usually with either my spf or my cerave ointment at night.
    Right now I am using the new goldbond pure moisture lotion as a “serum” since it lacks adequate occlusive agents but its full of ceramides, HA, gluconalactone, niacinamide, and urea. If you ever try it Id love to hear your thoughts on it!

    • @brandonmilesmay
      @brandonmilesmay  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you! One of my mainstay cleansers for me, who is also prone to redness, is the CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser. It has ceramides and hyaluronic acid in there that can help with rebuilding the skin's moisture barrier. Two other good ones that are completely free of irritating ingredients are the Vanicream and the Free & Clear liquid facial cleansers.

Have you tried the double cleanse?

    Hi! Lockdown is over! My silver needle white tea is here! 80 gram white bag from amazon.
    I brewed it today. I really enjoy it; I find it less grassy & more earthy than green tea, & subtly sweet. Honey enhances it, of course. But I think I used too many of the needles as the flavor was quite pungent, almost earl-grey like in its boldness. My sister gave me a cute glass tea pot, holds about 2 cups' worth of tea & has that super-convenient cylindrical mesh thingie in the middle for loose tea. I pretty much filled it up with needles, hence the strong flavor.
    So can you tell me how many of the needles you use per cup? Maybe a teaspoon or 2? And what do you think of the flavor relative to green tea?
    (And I miss your LOA videos!)

    • @brandonmilesmay
      @brandonmilesmay  3 роки тому

      Why hello! Glad to hear you were able to get the white tea! And so glad to hear you're enjoying it. Do you still like it? Honestly, I don't count the number of needles I use. I weigh them out on a scale. I think I use roughly 2 to 3 grams per 8 ounces of water. It also depends on your taste preferences; this can take a little experimentation on your part, if you're up for it!

    • @writerforlifeify
      @writerforlifeify 3 роки тому

      @@brandonmilesmay I'm drinking it again right now. 2nd brew. I used far fewer needles today & filled up my 2-cup teapot with water. Flavor is still strong, still earl-grey-ish-pungent. But honestly, I'm not sure I want to repurchase. There are too many readily available green-tea options that I also like & without so close a resemblance to earl grey tea. I much prefer Tetley's white tea-raspberry blend but it was discontinued long ago!
      I'm now experimenting with a new-to-me dark roast coffee: Folger's Black Silk. It's good, bold yet smooth though I haven't tried Folger's Classic Roast so I don't have a basis of comparison. I know classic = medium roast but I'd still like to know how the taste compares to the dark option in this brand. If you tried both, then do let me know!

      @@raddgreat01 The lotion is too light for me, but I might use it on top of adapalene if I use that ingredient. But I prefer the moisturizer. I use several different SPFs, but I tend to prefer tinted mineral sunscreens like the ones from EltaMD, MDSolarSciences, and DRMTLGY.

      It's hard to say, as everyone is different in how they react to ingredients. That being said, the Vanicream contains very gentle, mild ingredients, none of which are comedogenic. Avoid if you have reactions to hyaluronic acid; if unsure talk to your derm :)

      @@brandonmilesmay Not even the Petrolatum in it ?
      I have oily open pore skin and I've spent so much over the years I could open my own cosmetic store 😂.. tempted to try the Vanicream though. I'm currently using Aeeno calm and restore gel cream, UK formula is minus the " HA" sodium hyularonate which I prefer.
      I'm leaning more towards more oclusives simply down to the fact I'm using Differin however I feel petrolatum and or anything thicker or silicone based is exacerbating and making my pores look darker and more prominent.. but is it or is it the Differin bringing the crap tot be surface. 🤷
      Any recommendations I can get hold of here in the UK would be much appreciated

    Would this affect makeup ?

      @brandonmilesmay  2 роки тому

      Good question. I don’t wear makeup, but this should be OK if you let it dry down sufficiently before makeup application. I wait at least 30 minutes or so for it to dry before I put on my tinted mineral sunscreen.

      @@anitaaubin4696 The DRMTLGY moisturizer with SPF is a good option. Cetaphil also has a good moisturizer with SPF, but that’s a chemical sunscreen (if you’re OK with that). Most of the other sunscreens I recommend in my videos are also good moisturizers.

      The squalane, which is the second ingredient, is considered a semi-occlusive emollient.
