About This Video:
This video is deep dive review on the brand Vanicream, and a comparison to the brand Cerave. Specifically, I am reviewing: Vanicream vs. Cerave Cleanser, Vanicream vs. Cerave Moisturizing Lotion and Vanicream vs. Cerave Moisturizing Cream. I have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin, and have tested all products in this video to offer a fair and honest comparison review. If you have a skin condition, or have extremely sensitive, dry, oily, and/or breakout-prone skin, this video is perfect for you to figure out if Vanicream or Cerave is the best option for you. In general, Vanicream seems to be better than Cerave for people with sensitive skin types. Cerave does have better skin-loving ingredients in their products though, like Niacinimide, Ceramides, and Hyaluronic Acid. Both brands are fragrance free & free of many allergens and irritants like dyes, but Vanicream seems to be free from all potential irritants. Sensitive skin care.

Cerave oddly make me breakout even more and vanicream is the only skincare brand I use on my face it cleared up my stubborn acne
I have heard that same thing from some other people! So glad vanicream works for you 😊
stephanie me too
Same for me! I've had stubborn horrible cystic acne and a lot of irritation and redness! Cerave also caused several breakouts for me, but Vanicream has been great, its the one of the only brands aside from Tula that doesn't cause a negative reaction on my skin and actually helps me.
stephanie me too! Cerave makes me break out! Why? Who knows. I do like the cerave cream, the basic one. But that’s it.
CeraVe made me breakout as well, but only at first. Anytime I switch cleansers or moisturizers, my skin is all like--whoa wut?! After a couple weeks, it completely normalized & now I love it. It's weird, because my skin never behaved this way until after I turned 30. Then all heck broke loose. :)
I love Vanicream. The facial wash is so gentle to my skin, no fragrance (yes!). I've tried all the Cerave facial washes and found them irritating.
Such a bummer about Cerave! You’re definitely not the first person to comment that. Glad vanicream works for you 😊
what’s good to use
vanicream a good cleanser for combination skin to oily
The vanicream facial cleanser is so good! Also does an efficient job at removing sunscreen/makeup
What's your skin type?
Struggle with fungal acne, and no cleanser really helps at all. I was struggling! But then vanicream really calmed down my fungal acne and cleared my face!
That’s great! Such a good cleanser
Peach. gguk did you use the vanicream moisturizer? if so which version was it?
This gives me so much hope because I believe Im struggling BIG TIME with fungal acne right now. And it wont budge. Did you use the lite lotion or the cream from Vanicream? I have the cream and cleanser, and enjoy both. But I’m wondering if I should purchase the lite lotion to encourage my skin to breathe until the fungal acne on my face goes away..
vrintige (I know i’m not who you were initially asking but) between my comment 5 days ago and now my active fungal/reg acne has basically gone away. I bought the normal vanicream lotion(not the cream, but not the lite lotion.) i absolutely love it! it’s very similar in consistency to the cerave moisturizing lotion but a little more watery. I totally recommend that or the lite lotion. i personally like lighter lotions for the summertime cause it’s so hot and I don’t like the feeling of skincare sitting on my face. oh and i used this along with the vanicream cleanser. hope this helps!!
vrintige I haven’t used any of their lotions, only the cleanser so I can’t say:( are their moisturizers fungal acne safe?
My dermatologist recommended vani cream an I love it soo much the only thing that helps my skin when it’s irritated ! The best :)
Yesss! Same 😊
@@AbbeyYung me toooo!
Yessssss I totally agree with you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
JANET LEE of the h
Does it help with redness at all ?
I have eczema and the vanicream moisturizing cream was the only thing that didn't irritate my skin! If you're debating whether to pick it up or not, you definately should! You won't regret it! 🙏🏽
Amazing!! I love hearing that it works well for eczema. Eczema is sooo tough to manage.
Crazy!!! I hope is good for man to
I recently got bad flare ups of eczema on my hands and I just bought a tub of Vanicream. I’m hopping it helps calm it down
@@kassieguzman4514 did it helped
Dr. Dray said vanicream lotion is good for oily skin but then I saw this video n changed my mind to cereve. And after them I checked comments n chose vanicream again thanks guys for the comments ❤️❤️❤️👍
I tried Cerave since it was so hyped up but it irritated my skin and right now im using Vanicream and its so gentle.
Same here
This was so interesting! My derm recommended the Vanicream and so far it has calmed my skin and made it very soft! I also have been trying the Cerave as well. I like the ceramides in the lotions.
Both great options! 😊
Which version of vani cream are you using
I love Cerave and Vanicream! I was getting some stinging around my nose with the Cerave Hydrating cleanser so I switched to the Vanicream cleanser and I love it! I still use Cerave moisturizers. I haven't tried Vanicream moisturizers but I like the ceramides and niacinamide in Cerave!
Totally agree with all of that! ☺️
I use the foaming cerave its sulfate free it definitely doesn't sting my sensitive skin but I've always wanted to try vani vanicream. I got away from cetaphil because it burned my skin even the gentle daily cleanser.
@@micahmcclough8918 I haven't tried the Cerave foaming cleanser yet but think it may be my next cleanser purchase.
@@saraeclipse its awesome my dermatologist told me that I need to use sulfate free products on my face and hair and to try the cerave foaming facial cleanser because its sulfate free. I'm very happy I hope they never change it lol. I also have to use water based moisturizers not oil based so their moisturizer is good for me as well.
I also get the stinging around my nose with the cerave. What is that all about? I haven't had that problem even with non gentle cleansers.
Thank you so much for this. I Googled it and was amazed to find that someone had done this comparison.
I actually switched to Cerave about 6 months ago after just using neutrogena products for a very long time ( don’t have the budget for expensive products), and I am loving it. I use the foaming cleanser (at night) and the hydrating cleanser (morning). I also use the daily moisturizing lotion. I love all three products. They don’t irritate my skin, and they don’t break me out which I often do when my skin doesn’t agree with a product.
I love that CeraVe foaming face wash and their moisturizing cream. They are hands down my new favorites. Totally worth the money - though they aren't overly expensive. Thanks for this video- you did a great job comparing the brands and their products! Stay healthy.
Agreed I love it too! Aw thanks so much. Hope you’re staying healthy also ♥️
Vanicream is the only cleanser I can use without my skin hating me after use.
😂 I feel that in my soul
@@AbbeyYung I believe its called Vanicream as in (Vani)ty. Thats how my dermatologist pronounced it anyhow.
The vanicream cleanser also containt coco and mica on it, is it can be a devil for people with acne? Just tried it today but im nervouse it can broke me out 🥺 is the moisturizer from vanicream good for acne?
@@NYS30 I have acne and I've never had a problem with it. It actually helps clear it up for me. But I have hormonal acne.. :( might wanna talk to your dermatologist.
I wanted to love cerave so bad!! The hydrating cleanser stings my skin and the moisturizing cream does it too. My skin was overall just not a fan. I still recommend it to others because I know it’s a great brand though.
Yes I’ve heard that about the cream from others!!
Their cleansers sting my skin too. I’ve been trying to figure out what ingredient it is, but cerave just doesn’t work for me
the cream stings my skin an gave me sme kind of allergic reaction (bunch of red bumps suddenly appeared) however the LOTION is my HG and no issues, my skin is SUPER SOFT now! try the lotion maybe :)
If you like the texture of the CeraVe moisturizing cream but it stings or breaks you out, I highly recommend their baby moisturizing cream. It’s very very similar but the texture is slightly different and did not irritate me at all, whereas the adult moisturizing cream did.
It's almost make me think that my skin doesn't like the ceramides and niacinamide in cerave products. It feels like it's drying out my skin even more. I already have dry skin. Can that be what's happening?
I watched your cerave review and it helped me so much to pick great skin care products and I’ve been using it for a week and I love it! Thank you so much! I had to follow you to keep up with your reviews and recommendations ☺️
Yay I am so happy to hear that! Nothing better than great skin 😍 thanks for subscribing & following 💞
I love Cerave products. I use quite a few, it's a trusted brand in my house. I'm 41 and my daughter is 17, we both love the same products from Cerave lol. The hydrating cleanser is pretty awesome for a gentle cleanse in the morning, I typically wear heavier nourishing products for bed so I like to wash in the morning so that my daytime skincare isn't blocked by anything. I also use the hydrating cleanser as a first step cleanser at night. The SA cleanser is a nice gentle exfoliating wash that I use once a week too. Then we have the foaming face wash (2nd step cleanser for stubborn spf/mascara etc) the lotion, and the cream lol. The only thing I did not like AT ALL is their daytime moisturizer with spf. It was weird, like a dry lotion and hard to spread. The finish was weird, white, and dry. It sucked.
My mom uses Cerave too! 😊 such great products 💞
YAYY thanks for making the video i requested! This was soooo helpful, thank you ♥️
Of course!! Thank you for requesting, so glad it helped 😍😍
I recently switched to vanicream face wash and holy cow, my face loves it. I use the cerave in the tub for my moisturizer though. Together, these two have saved me.
The vanicream cleanser also containt coco and mica on it, is it can be a devil for people with acne? Just tried it today but im nervouse it can broke me out 🥺 is the moisturizer from vanicream good for acne?
@@NYS30 sorry, but I have only tried the vanicream in the tub. The big container with the pump. I just purchased it about 2 weeks and have been using on body and face. So far, no break outs at all.
Cerave is my favorite! I only use the face wash if I’m feeling exceptionally oily because it can be drying but the moisturizer with spf is a game changer.
Love Cerave too 😍
I have been trying to research more what’s in skin care products that I buy and it’s actually pretty crazy how many irritants are in skincare products that in the long run can ruin the skin. I’m going to try Vanicream facial cleanser.
I know it’s so horrible! And so much is marketed as “natural” to make it seem like it’s free of anything bad when it’s really not. Great choice! 💞
How's this cleanser working out for you?
The 2020 versions of Cerave hydrating cleanser and moisturizing cream both have weird chemical odor to them now. I used both of them for a couple years with good results but have moved on since they now have a smell. I do still use their healing ointment. I have a few older travel sizes that don’t have the smell so I use those when I miss CeraVe cleanser. I replaced them with Albolene, Cleanser, Hydraluron serum, and Aveeno baby balm with excellent results for my dry sensitive rosacea which is actually healing because of skin care changes. I never would have guessed all these moisturizing products could actually improve my redness. I also use CeraVe tinted mineral sunscreen for my foundation. Stopping foundation a year ago also has improved my skin. I also eat a low carb diet which has helped all health issues including redness. VaniCream lip sunscreen is a staple for being out in the sun as it doesn’t irritate my skin. A tiny amount goes a long way.
Thanks - my daughter's been trying to get me to come to the CeraVe side - she loves them!
She’s got great taste 😉
I love love love the cerave foaming face cleanser its sulfate free and it doesn't burn or sting my face . I also use their moisturizer because its water base not oil base. Thank you so much.
Yay! So glad those work for you. Of course 😊
I love your video and just subscribed! Personally I have super inflamed, eczema prone skin so I only use vanicream. The cerave products aren’t sensitive enough for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! welcome 😊♥️ that totally makes sense! Whenever I have skin irritation vanicream is a life saver
Great video! I definitely love Cerave. I have tried Vanicream, but I just didn't care for it. Love all your skincare videos.
Thank you! 💞 yeah, definitely not for everyone 😊
I absolutely love Cerave! I have acne prone slightly sensitive skin and I noticed an immediate difference after buying fragrance free products! I wish more people knew how bad fragrance can be for your skin!! I use the Cerave hydrating facial cleanser as well as their overnight retinol cream, their daily moisturizing lotion as well as the cream in the tub, and I also love their SA cleanser 😍All work so good for me and have improved my breakouts by a ton!! I also have to include the Paulas Choice AHA/BHA toner which I also believe to have cleared up my skin!
I started using their SA cleanser too! Need something to help with the face mask acne... yay love Cerave too so glad to hear your breakouts have improved 😍
My dermatologist gave me samples of both in cleanser & lotions. I've been having a great deal of eye issues (like a contact dermatitis of dry & flaky, but also puffy, itchy lids, under & around the eyes on the outside, plus watery eyes). I can't wear eye make-up for a month, have to stop all my other products (even hand sanitizers), so we can clear this up then begin slowly adding my products back in. Today was a bit overwhelming, so THANK YOU for this video. I will try CeraVe first & if I don't do well than VaniCream. This was EXTREMELY helpful! And all the comments to. I haven't used drugstore cleansers/LOTIONS on ky face for decades,so was very nervous, but not now. I'm excited to start all this & see how I do. It is wild being 55 & having these issues again like when I was in high school. Thanks again! ~Rachel
I have the exact same thing happening around my eyes. Went to the dermatologist, they tested over 30 allergens and all came back negative. Have you found out what has been causing your reaction? I have just been trying to use fragrance free products. Some are okay but some are not...
Cereve moisturizer and cleanser have been in my routine for years, my dermatologist recommended them and I love them
So great! 😊
I have the same red and burning reaction like you had on Dermalogica cleanser... but my skin is allergic to any kind of fragrance, so I can use only fragrance free skincare products. Been using this foaming cleanser from Cerave but I will definitely try Vanicream, along with their daily moisturizer. Thank you for recommendations!
Thank you for making this video ! :) i was curious myself as to know wich one was better.
Do you prefer the cerave PM facial cream to the regular lotion/cream ?
Of course! PM facial for the Niacinimide but I use both 😊
Cerave is My absolute favorite I’ve been using it for years on myself and my daughter they both have eczema issues it’s the only thing that works for me
So glad to hear that! Such an amazing brand! 💞
Very good review. I like Vanicream Facial Cleanser because it makes my skin feel so soft. However, those 3 ingreduents that Ceave has and Vanicream doesn't are pretty important, so my 1st choice would also be Cerave
Thank you! Totally agree 😊
Patricia Jordan That’s the reason why I choose Cerave over Vanicream ones
My sister uses the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and she loves it since she's on roaccutane
Just a bit pricey! (£10)
That’s great!!
Thank you so much. My skin has been reacting so much. My eczema has just been out of control. I am currently five months pregnant with my second. I have been careful with what I put on my face. I will try the vanicream this time. Thank you so much. 😘💓
I’m so sorry to hear that! My mom developed eczema during pregnancy too! I have it now on my scalp it is so uncomfortable 😫 so glad to help 💞
I'm currently using the vanicream and it's good but prefer the Aveeno moisturizing bar and physiogel cream. Try it!
As someone whose skin reacts poorly to literally everything that touches it, I have found solace in all things CeraVe. I use the light moisturizer you mentioned on my face in the morning, (over my *{fragrance-free}* Neutrogena Hydroboost gel), & it's perfect under makeup. I no longer even use a primer, which is saying something because I'm pushing 40. At night, I use the CeraVe retinol resurfacing serum under the thicker CeraVe cream you mentioned. This is by far the best combo I've found, in terms of moisturizers & serums.
So glad this works so well for you! Nothing better than finding your perfect skincare routine ❤️
Wait so the ceraVE pm facial moisturizer worked fine for you? And didn’t cause any breakouts? I might consider changing the equates facial lotion that I have to the ceraVE pm facial lotion, but heard it broke some people out. My skin isn’t really that sensitive and the moisturizer I use now has similar ingredients to it, but it’s just a cheaper version .
I am sensative niacinamide. So much trial/error and I 100% for sure narrowed it down to a sensativity to niacinamide. So vanicream it is! Thank goodness! Niacinamide is being put in EVERYTHING now and Vanicream is a skin-saver for leaving it out.
Hii did niacinamide causes you redness, did this product reduce those redness?
My skin is very sensitive so I use vanicream mostly. The Lite Lotion is one of my all-time favorites!
Yesss Vanicream is the only thing I can use when my skin is irritated!!
vanicream is ok combination skin oily skin
Sorala Silber I have dry skin and love Vanicream!
The vanicream cleanser also containt coco and mica on it, is it can be a devil for people with acne? Just tried it today but im nervouse it can broke me out 🥺 is the moisturizer from vanicream good for acne?
Currently using Cerave moisturizing cream and Foaming facial cleanser.. love, love both.. but recently learnt about HA and trying to avoid any products contains HA due to the climate I live in..
Now waiting for my Vani cream to arrive, hope it works! Gonna miss Cerave though,😔 as mentioned in the video the ceramides made me by it!
I use and lovee the vanicream cleanser! I tried the CeraVe foaming cleanser three separate times and broke out in a bunch of tiny zits all over/dried my skin out every time I used it and it was the only thing I changed. I even tried it on my back in the shower thinking it won’t be as sensitive there but same thing happened. I love CeraVe’s other moisturizing products tho!
Love that vanicream cleanser too! Ahh that’s such a bummer 😫 maybe the hydrating facial cleanser would be a better match for you?
Abby S i had the same experience and it was so bad!
I am so glad I found your channel, so informative, love it.
Yay welcome!! 😊
Cerave is the best! But here in the Philippines we need to spend a little more for it because its only available online. I've tried a lot of skincare products, but after trying Cerave I knew immediately this will be the moisturizer I'll be using for the rest of my life 😄
Yesss! So good 😊
Love both. There are bar cleansers, I believe, for both brands which I’ve used to cut down on plastic. They’re just as good in my experience as the cleansers in the pump bottles.
Glad those work well for you!!
I just love Cereve hydrating cleanser, only recently tried a travel size, just don't want to go back to Purity Made Simple cleanser which I used for years and loved. Still have a big bottle of Purity but think I will gift it to someone who might enjoy it. Good video, recently discovered you, very much enjoy your videos.
I love it too! Yay I’m so glad 😊💞
I have used Purity for years and still do. Is it bad for you?
I heart pensmith on UA-cam say she used purity for years and loved it but doesn't anymore because she knows more now. That was her only explanation. She is an esthetician and really good. I never had a problem with it and millions use it so I don't think its bad but maybe has fragrance or alcohol or something in it that is not great. Never hear youtubers talk about it though. If you like it keep using it, but the hydrating cerave cleanser is so nice and hear lots of youtubers recommend it. It is less expensive also.
Great video! I like the cerave lotion better than the vanicream one. The vanicream makes me break out, I think it’s the petrolatum.
Thank you! Yeah and that vanicream lotion is pretty thick for a lotion. Can’t use too much of it or it feels heavy!
Oj
pretrolatum is non comedoginec. Dr. Dray has video explaining the misinformation about that. Its maybe caused by another factor
@@jee492
True but I also have read that petroleum doesn’t fare well for those that have oily and acne prone skin. I can speak from experience here. I can’t speak for the guy that made the comment but is a possibility he can have oily or acne prone skin or both, which explained what petroleum didn’t serve him well.
@@yvetterocksyeah have u used the vanicream moisturizing lotion if so did it break u out?
I love the Cerave facial moisturizer, a light lotion... I just the Night version.
This would have to be lighter than the two all purpose moisturizers in this video!
I wish this had been included in this video.
NOTE: I am definitely going to try the Vanicream cleanser. There isn't really a need for the additional Ceremides, etc.. in a cleanser that will rinse or wife away! Have heard that The Vanicream cleans and removes makeup better than Cerave. I have the Cerave, and I don't fell like it cleans well. Especially makeup and the oily T-zone. Even the so-called Cerave Foaming.
It would be a good idea to use lotions and a other facial products that have the additional skin care ingredients. Products that you don't rinse away.
I enjoy using the Cerave products. I started using Cerave a few months ago. Cerave is my go to product and it always clears up my skin and just brings it back to normal especially after I used to harsh exfoliates .
So glad it’s working so well for you!!
I've learned recently that all cerave products irritate my skin but VaniCream calms down any irritation..I now use their cleanser, differin gel, and their moisturizer and my skin had greatly improved!
That’s amazing! Love vanicream
My face burns after using the CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion. I hope Vani cream will be the fix. My face was fine until I went to bath & body works and used their bar soap on my face ever since then every time I put a moisturizer on my face it burns now this never happened in my 41 years of life!
Vanicream is a godsend. I have oily acne prone skin. I have dryness around d my nose. So I guess in combo. I cant believe it's in walgreens. I feel like cerave is a lil heavy for me but I do use it. I'm shocked vanicream is like the only brand that cleanses without drying. I'm not a big fan of the smell . I just light candles when I shower. but I like the results. The daily moisturizer is so good. It's not greasy
May i know if u use vanicream moisturizing cream or lotion for ur skin?
I have really been enjoying your content, I only recently found you and subscribed! Your reviews are really in depth and informative :)
I started using cerave products about a month ago and they are honestly brilliant, especially the moisturizing lotion is just perfect for my oily combo acne prone skin! I use Epiduo for my acne at night which can be very drying and until I found cerave my skin didnt feel moisturized enough! I was using the Bodyshop moisturizer which is hella expensive for a tiny pot and had fragrance in it which would sometimes sting :/
On another note, you look stunning!!! Your eye make up especially wow girl 😍😍😍
Yay I’m so glad you’re liking the videos & thank you for subscribing! 💞 yesss love Cerave so much. I used to use epiduo in high school! Totally can be drying same with Tretinoin which is what I use now! And thank you 🥰 you are too kind!
@@AbbeyYung awww youre welcome! I think supporting smaller creators is very important! Oh honestly id never guess you had acne cause your skin texture looks amazing! How are you finding the tretinoin? Im assuming thats still a topical treatment. I am happy with epiduo although i still get spots but just a bit more rarely :/ wondering if maybe tretinoin would be a better option for me too
That’s so sweet of you! 💞 I’m the same- sometimes will get a breakout but it’s far & few between now! I have a video on my hormonal acne experience in my skincare playlist actually. I love tretinoin. It’s stronger than epiduo so it may help more! And it’s incredible for anti aging. That’s why my skin texture looks that way!
I use both depending on the season. In the winter vanicream is more effective than cerave cream on my dry sensitive skin. Same with lotions. The vani cream cleanser seems to remove makeup better and is less irritating around the eyes.
Yes totally depends on your skin needs!
I have dry skin and Cerave seams to be drying it out more. My skin is red and hot to the touch, anything I put on it stings. I'm down to using cetaphil face wash and Neutrogena moisturizer with spf30. Hoping to heal my skin barrier.
I love the Vanicream cleanser and the CeraVe cream, lotion and pm lotion. I don't care for the CeraVe hydrating cleanser.
Love those too! 🤗
The vanicream cleanser also containt coco and mica on it, is it can be a devil for people with acne? Just tried it today but im nervouse it can broke me out 🥺 is the moisturizer from vanicream good for acne?
Love this makeup look! Would love to know the lipstick/lip products used
Thank you! 😊it’s the KKW lipstick in nude 3.5 & the morphe gloss in flower crown!
Thank you!! Cerave is my go-to❤️
So good 😊
I love Vanicream so far (I feel like if I just leave it at "I love Vanicream" the universe will make it break out my face haha.) I tried so many "natural" face washes for months because I wanted clean skin and I love nature and all that jazz, but coming from Jack Black, they all let me down. Vanicream gentle face cleanser and The Ordinary's moisturizer are so amazing together. I have celiac disease (I can't consume gluten) and I'm always iffy on putting something near my mouth that isn't gluten free, but thankfully Vanicream is. I was bummed at first that I couldn't get a definitive answer from Cerave and La Roche because I've heard amazing things about both, but thankfully Vanicream is great (for now, again, I am scared I'm gonna jinx myself haha). Great video!
Hahaha the universe will do that sometimes 😂 I’m so glad to hear vanicream works for you and that it’s gluten free! Such a good option
I am now investing in vanicream, thank you!! Please share what you use for eye makeup! I love the look
I am really enjoying the cerave hydrating facial cleanser. I have dry sensitive skin. No acne though, so can't comment on that.
Newly subscribed first video I watched I fell in love with u! Thanks for the education and personal input. I ruined my face when my Doc gave me Trentnoin (RX Vitamin A) it's sooooo sensitive I think the vanicream will be better for me right now bc it's BASIC (in a good way) buuuut I over due everything so I'm going for the cereve later today when I go to target) but it's a little more than just basic lol
Thanks again
Stay safe

So glad to have you here! 😊
Thank you for this I'm trying to decide between Vanicream and Cerave. I have sensitive, oily/combination, and acne prone skin. And I also think I have an impaired skin barrier so I'm trying to find something to fix that but also be okay for acne prone skin. :)
I do right now too 😫 had serious damage from essential oils. Vanicream has been helping a lot! Not irritating it further. And I’m also acne prone!
@@AbbeyYung thanks for the reply! Mine was from using baking soda and apple cider vinegar. I'm so glad I know better now. I'll check out vanicream :)
Of course! 😊♥️ and owwww that sounds so painful!
Every Cerave product I’ve used on my face burns. Vanicream works VERY well for me. In fact, I’m gonna pick up the lotion lite in a few days.
Vanicream has a new facial moisturizer that is pretty good. I have really dry skin with eczema. The cereve hydrating cleanser made me irritated and more dry. I want to use it up though so I’m rotating it on the vanicream cleanser and using it every third wash. I use hyalarinoc serum with either the vanicream cream or the new facial moisturizer depending how m how dry I am. Both work great. I’ve had good look with the vanicream products over all!
Yes I have a review on that one! I love it
The Vanicream Cleanser and the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser are my #HolyGrailSkincare products. Sometimes I will double cleanse with the Vanicream first and then the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser.
Yesss I’ve done that exact double cleanse too! Love it 😍
If the vanicream lotion is too thick for you, try the vanicream lite lotion. Its great
I recently discovered that the name of the Lite Lotion was changed to Moisturizing Lotion in November 2019 but it’s the same formula. Even though I received a notice from the manufacturer, I didn’t believe it until I tried it and it seems the same. 🤷🏻♀️
Pug Lady Plans , Hi, After writing about the lite lotion, i went to repurchase and couldn’t find it anywhere. Upon looking at the vanicream site I noticed they had taken lite off the bottle. So you are correct, it’s the same thing. As with many other people I found cerave stung and made my face red. After using vanicream cleanser and moisturizer for a couple months now, my skin is calm and happy. I love that we can share our experiences.
Lynne Burrell The company I bought the “Lite Lotion” from on Amazon actually sent me the notification they received from Vanicream about the name change so it seemed very official. Then I opened the container and tried the lotion. It definitely feels like the exact same formula as the lite lotion so I kept it instead of returning it. Cerave bothers me too so I can’t use it. I use the Vanicream cleanser too and my skin is much happier with that than anything else I’ve used. I agree that it’s great to learn things from each other and be able to share things that help other people. 😁
Those are all great products to use with retin A also. Love!
Yes! ♥️
Cerave made me breakout! Huge zit on my nose. It felt amazing my first use, unfortunately it didn’t work.
I've had stubborn horrible cystic acne and a lot of irritation and redness! Cerave also caused several breakouts for me, but Vanicream has been great, its the one of the only brands aside from Tula that doesn't cause a negative reaction on my skin and actually helps me. Maybe I am allergic to ceramides? Is that possible? Anyway, great video!
The same thing happened to me. CeraVe made me break out in cyst. It was so painful. Niacinamide can cause irritation. I also use Vanicream and it's perfect.
What skin type do you guys have?
What skin type do you guys have?
@@kl3479 My skin type is oily and sometimes combo. The vanicream gentle cleanser and lotion is for all skin types. The vanicream cream is for dry skin.
Great video. I have a question, does Vanicream help with preventing lines and wrinkles?
I’m a new to your channel but what are your thoughts on the Cetaphil products?
going to do a video on this soon 😊
Her makeup looks nice.
Thank you 😊
The question is- do you need those extra ingredients in a product that you keep on your skin for 10 seconds and then wash off? I would buy simpler wash like vanicream and cerave moisturizer to get the best of both worlds!
Yes I love using both 😊
you read my mind, i think i would choose the vani cream facial cleanser and go with the cerave moisturizing lotion for those extra benefical ingredients
Vani Cream....used to break me out so badly... I love cerave ❤️❤️❤️
Was it vanicream cleanser or vanicream moisturizer ?
I just recently purchased the CeraVe moisturizing cream but it stings and just feels very unpleasant around my nose right when I apply it so I might try out vanicream lotion instead since my skin is very normal and I don’t think I need the cream for my face. My body gets dry though so I will definitely keep it and use it just as a body moisturizer! No waste necessary
Absolutely! No need to waste- I love to repurpose things that don’t work for my face too!
I have oily skin and sensitive skin and I noticed when I would use the cerave lotion my skin dried out and it still feels very dry and I stopped using it , I also did started noticing dry patches on my skin and I could barley even move my face
Such a bummer! Definitely doesn’t work for everyone 😢
I plan on trying vanicream.
Great! Hopefully it works well for you 😊
I Just started using cereve daily moisture cream , and haven't decided yet how I like it , I will say it's a lil more expensive then what I've used before
It will last you awhile because the bottle is so big! Hope you love it!
I purchased mine at Costco and it was an amazing deal there.
Vanicream daily face moisturizing lotion actually has 5 different ceramides in it. Cerave breaks me out terribly. I must be allergic to it.
I’m so sad the cerave moisturizing cream burns my face I’m in denial because I really wanted to love them 😞😞😞 it was fine the first few days I used it but when my skin started purging cerave burns my skin
I love the Vanicream cleanser.
Whats your skin type? Im combination but vanicream cleanser tends to dry my skin a bit. Im on adapalene
Hey Abbey! Any idea what you're wearing on your lips here? I love the color and the look of the formula!
I’m not positive which one it is 😭 I want to say it’s KKW lipstick in nude 3.5 with buxom White Russian gloss on top!
@@AbbeyYung I kept looking through your comments after I commented and I think that's what you said to someone else as well 🥰 thank you!!!
Oh wow good guess from me then 😂😂 course! ♥️
You are sooo sooo soooo pretty like a doll😍
Watching you from Bangladesh, and i was searching for vanicream vs cerave and i got you 🤩
Like many have said cerave has oddly made my skin worse. I use the cruel fragrance free lotion with Ceramides and then I use the vanicream moisturizer to lock it all in especially on my feet, hands and face. The lotion is light and feels good but the heavier moisturizer feels amazing
I need to test out some curel!
Love your videos ❤ do you use facial cleansing oil?
I don’t anymore! I’m on the oily side & acne prone, so I use micellar water or ponds cold cream for makeup removal, then a cleanser. Thank you so much! 😊♥️
I love Vanicream cleanser. I have tried other cleanser because I sometimes have an issue finding it but I always switch back yo Vanicream.
Whats your skin type? Im combination but vanicream cleanser tends to dry my skin a bit. Im on adapalene
Would love to use the Cerave products but most of them have parabens in them. What are your thoughts regarding parabens?
Nothing is wrong with parabens unless you’re allergic to it.
Everyone is so different...I'm so sensitive. Cerave products have cleared my skin...Vanicream tends to be a little more occlusive and I've broken out with it (on face). Just glad more fragrance free products being showcased for sensitive skin!
Did the vanicream cleanser or vanicream mosirurizer make you break out ?
I definitely agree is good for me ❤️! I feel that the the cerave moisturizing lotion ! It is perfect for my skin care routine , every skin is different 😊
I'll try CereVe 👌🏾
Its not about one vs the other. Cerave is better in some categories and Vanicream is better in other categories. I use both. Dr. Dray made the point that some Cerave facial moisturizers contain Niacinamide, which some people’s skin react badly to.
The Vanicream cleanser is my all time favorite!! I used the CerVa hydrating and the Neutrogena creamy one for several years but the Vanicream best them both for me. I like that it gets off every last little bit of mascara and makeup that might’ve been left over from my first cleanse but doesn’t leave my face feeling stripped.
The CeraVe cream is my favorite nighttime moisturizer but I’ve used the Vanicream as well. The CeraVe is just a little easier to find in stores.
Love that cleanser too!!
Love this video so much!!!
Yay I’m so glad! 😍
I bought Cerave facial lotion PM recently thinking it would help with my dry winter skin, unfortunately it stings my skin so much that I looked like joker around my perioral region and had made my skin condition even worse. Eventually I had to return the product. It's just not for me :\
Bummer 😭
I love and use both the Cerave and Vanicream products. I recently found out that I’m allergic to Fragrance II Mix, which is in 90% of skincare, haircare and cosmetic products. My biggest challenge right now is finding fragrance-free haircare products that don’t strip color and dry out hair and work as a styling cream. Have you gone down this road yet, and, if so, are there any hair products you would recommend?
They’re great! So glad those work for you. And actually yes you’re in luck! I just posted a review on function of beauty: ua-cam.com/video/CAYGwsm8UZg/v-deo.html
Abbey Yung I’ll check it out. Thank you for responding!
Of course!
I love Cerave more. I have dry and resilient skin though.. 😊💕
Cerave made my face break out soo bad i had so many under the skin bumps and my face was really red and sensitive, but i use vanicream now and i love it!!
Cerave also made my skin sooo oily
so glad vanicream works for you!
Which CeraVe moisturizing lotion normal to dry or dry to very dry!????
I can't use CeraVe (due to rash it caused) and Neutrogena works ok, but the oil free moisture for sensitive skin isn't thick enough for my dry, eczema prone skin. I might try Vanicream.
I love vanicream!! Hopefully that works well for you 😊
@@AbbeyYung Thank you. :)
Hey!! I’ve been using vanicream for almost a year with an equate sensitive skin moisturizer and my skin still has breakouts daily.. any tips??
Ditch the Equate moisturizer! It’s not the Vanicream that’s causing you irritation! Plus with Vanicream’s high effectiveness, there’s no need to use additional moisturizers from other companies!
Vanicream is the best moisturizer for my oily skin even with sunscreen on top ❤️
It's so good!
Thoughts on Aveeno would be amazing!
I’ll add it to my list!
Your skin looks lovely Babe...
Thank you! ♥️
Have you tried the Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer? It has hyaluronic acid and 5 key ceramides.
i like the cerave hydrating cleanser but since the products i use after it are a serum moisturizer and sunscreen i feel like that’s too much hydration, especially in summer time so i’m gonna try out the vanicream cleanser, all i’m looking for is a simple face cleanse, nothing more so hopefully this’ll do that
Totally makes sense! Hopefully you’ll enjoy this then
