I use the CeraVe night cream in the jar with the purple label, but I just convinced my younger brother to start using the AM and PM moisturizer with Differin gel and it seems to be working well for him. We’re 10 years apart so I need something a little richer at night now. He also uses the acne control cleanser with sal acid and I use the cleansing balm and cream-to-foam cleanser. Love CeraVe as a brand.
I haven't tried their AM or PM moisturizers but I LOVE their toner and their night cream. Also enjoy their Baby Moisturizing cream a little more than their OG. Their cleansing oil, SA Renewing cleanser and the Hydrating Cleanser are all nice as well. If you like super light moisturizers their weightless gel feels really nice.

Hey doctor I have the am and pm facial moisturizer but I also bought niacinamide serum and hyaluronic acid as well. Now since the moisturizers have these in it am I suppose to still use it separately?

The PM moisturizer is a holy grail morning moisturizer for me after my Timeless 20% and before my sunscreen if I’m going out. Very light, so cheap and work just great with my skin. I noticed it does make a significant difference on my skin improving it on cellular level. Seriously, it’s the best morning moisturizer for me. It’s a steal lol

I just bought the Cerave PM, since I wanted an oil-free moisturizer. I was considering getting the AM lotion, but I prefer a sunscreen with a higher spf. Good to know that I can use the PM formula for daytime and use a separate sunscreen. Thank you for the review!

I’ve been using Cerave AM for 16 years. My dermatologist back then told me: “You are going to use this FOREVER!”. I know she meant Sunscreen, but my skin loves the Cerave AM lotion. I’m 51 years old and give credit to this lotion/sunscreen for not having many wrinkles.

I started using the am one as I haven’t found a facial sunscreen I like and my skin loves it. Be warned, though that it does not layer with other products. I tried it over my regular moisturizer and it pills. Also doesn’t do well with foundation.
I use cerave AM 50 ( I'm from the EU) and tge PM at night and I love both.

I use the PM every day and like it. But I do love the Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer as well. Hard to decide which one I like the best.
The Vanicream line doesn’t get enough love IMO. I haven’t run into a bad product made by them. Derms just don’t talk about Vanicream as much as I think they should. Their products are even better for sensitive skin than CeraVe’s. I once tried CeraVe’s vitamin C serum in a tube. Holy crap, it gave me a terrible chemical-like burn. My face burned for 10 days from that stuff.

After years of using Cerave cleanser, all of a sudden it started to irritate my skin (after buying a new bottle). I learned that it changed its formula when Loreal bought the brand (I think I read Loreal), so I had to stop using it obviously. As of the PM Moist, I used it when I lived in Puerto Rico and it was great because it felt really light and moisturizing. But now living in Texas, I've had to change to a thicker formula to actually see and feel changes (moisture and hydration) on my combo mostly dry skin. I did not like the AM formula at all - left a white cast and disliked the thick consistency, plus, did not work underneath my make up. Skin is so interesting..!😊
I've had the same experience with the am.
PM moisturizer is very good for Honolulu weather and for an oily acne prone skin. No plan switching it works well for any sunscreen and for Adapelene🤙

In EU we have different versions: the AM exists in 3 options: SPF 25, 30 or 50. And then there's the PM version.

I used to love the PM version, but lately I find that it stings a bit when I put it on. What does that indicate? Is there something else I should try with it or just switch moisturizers?
Tried both. For me, PM moisturizer is highly recommended. AM moisturizer with sunscreen is nice, but my oily acne-prone sensitive skin does not love it.

Are these products good for Acne prone skin? I use the AM and resurfacing retinol and PM at night. I've noticed more breakouts. I'm a year off of accutane and now I'm getting small breakouts again.

I’ve giving these two products for my first time. I’m mid 40s with severe dry skin with nodule/cystic acne scars. I create way too much sebum. I’m really hoping this works. I had bought the e.l.f. Skin Holy Hydration. Horrible. Didn’t work at all. Dry skin is very new to me so I wasn’t sure what to get. Also this is my first time in my life that my upper and lower arms are getting covered in tiny bumps by the hundreds. Awful when all my friends use to comment how smooth and soft my skin is. Not no more. 😢

The Cerave PM cause me to break out. I really want to know why that ism, and if that happens to anyone else.
I just tried their night facial moisturizer and it immediately burned upon putting it on my skin. It lasted about a minute or two. It doesn’t burn now, but my face is rather pink and slightly itchy… I’ve never had this happen with other face moisturizers. ??

These products aren't well received by my face, and I don't have very sensitive skin. It always makes me wonder what ingredient in this formula makes my face get red and uncomfortable. Anyways, the spf isn't great. It doesn't absorb well.

Is it okay to only use the am moisturizer? That is the only one that works for me. I used the pm tonight and it burned my skin for the first time today. I am also able to use regular benzoyl peroxide from proactive.

I used the daytime one for a while. When I applied it, I noticed it was pilling and not absorbing in, so I switches to a different cerave moisturizer. I still use this one tho when I go walking in the morning as a sunscreen
I do not like the daytime one at all. I use the nightime facial moisturizer in the small jars on my neck only, If I use it on my face, it breakouts out. I use a tinted Ulta md tinted sunscreen. I learned about it on a youtube video. I have always hated sunscreen because I could "taste" it when I put it on, so I didn't. If I had realized there were products that were different, I would have nicer skin now....
If it's pilling, you need to exfoliate your face.

I'm in my 60's I had been using the AM under my foundation too and it's not great for that or using working in the yard and sweating. I switched to Australian Gold tinted sunscreen. It's got a matte finish which I use a heavy moisturizer under. I use both tints (light and medium) and mix to get a good shade. That stuff stays on forever! Can't sweat it off and it takes a double cleansing to get it off at night. But it works great.❤

Great question. I mix the daily lotion and cream for my face. I love the pm, but it gets pricey. I know it includes the niacinamide and the other 2 don't .

Carave am has a terrible whitecast.
CeraVe AM gave me THE WORST inflammatory acne! My skin healed within days after I stopped using it (and anything with caprylic/capric triglyceride, which was the culprit). However, my skin lost a noticeable amount of elasticity from the trauma. I'll never use CeraVe products again.
