5:09 literal chills man. Those few seconds made me remind of my childhood playing all these. It's cool to know that a lot of people from other countries also played the same games at the same time of their lives and still love them as I do
When you showed the svr 2008 Home Screen with famous playing over it, I felt like a 8 year old playing my Darth Vader psp on a snow day in my room again.
2007, definitely has the best soundtrack and I love that it has a locker room that you can walk around, The best thing I love about that game is challenge mode and season mode.
Even the locker room you could create it how you wanted. And you had a case upstairs for your PPVs you won through season mode. It was and is the best SVR game
SvR 2008 holds a special place in my heart for the fact that it’s literally the first item I’ve ever owned that I could honestly say I had before any of my peers 😂

For me, it will always be SVR 2011, the RTWM storylines are my favorite and the fully-explorable hub world was so much fun. The little cutscene of you in the limo going to each show when it shows the city you are in is so nostalgic for me.
I agree with you. In 2013 when I discovered WWE at the age of 11, I got the game and enjoyed on my PS2 so much. This was truly the best time ever. I wanna travel back in time if I could.
For me SVR 2011 is the cream of the crop. I spent so many hours on it and everything about is amazing. The physics are amazing, the Universe mode was great, create a story was fun as hell, we had the best TLC match since the Smackdown! games, and honestly the best RTWM we ever got. Honestly in my top 3 WWE games of all time up there with No Mercy and HCTP
Hell yeah man Puddle Of Mudd "Famous" it's my favorite song from Smackdown vs Raw 2008 5:05 and I agree SVR 2008 is one of my childhood wrestling games

I also love the fact that you can turn mid move and aim the direction your opponent lands and I’m still pissed that such a simple thing hasn’t returned in 2k also the weapons were flat out the best.

Dean A, it’s good that he is adding modern-day superstars to HCTP, but in Scottjay’s case, he won’t add these types of superstars in his rebuilds because of the entrances and move sets.
Imagine if they combined the best features of each game into one: '07's locker room, '08's GM Mode, '10's Create-A-Finisher, an expanded version of '08's Career Mode, and various other features throughout the franchise.
Same. Or the one where your selected character walks on the hallway, shaking hands and fist bumping other superstars. What’s funny is that sometimes the superstar I’m in a rivalry with, I shook hands with almost the entire duration of our rivalry.
You nailed it, I 100% agree with every singles spot on this list. Growing up having played these games through thuroughly and still owning all of them too. Nice list man.
SVR 2007 came out when I was in High School. Had to bring home a good report card for my mom to buy it for me. I played this constantly and even created my own company using CAWS. 2008 was a bit disappointing to me. Having to play the same storylines again in season mode to get to the Hall of Fame was not fun.
07, 06 and I remember 10 was pretty good. But 07 and 06 were the best to me. Easily made over thirty characters. Liked having rivals, making my own. Loved making my own entrance music on the 360 version, or was that later entries? Really help sell the characters I would make.
So glad smackdown vs raw 2007 is number 1. I spent hundreds of hours playing this game as a kid. The voice acting for most of the characters felt like you were watching the show, interesting storylines, so many choices, customizing your own room, gm mode was amazing to play. The blood graphics at the time were amazing to me. So much to do in this game and I wish they remastered it. Which I don't think will happen due to 2k owning wwe games now and that Chris Benoit is in the game and has a story in season mode. I still have my original copy from Christmas years ago. My grandmother gave it to me and it was a bundle of smackdown vs raw the original 06 and 07. But I played 07 the most and not the others since I couldn't figure out the controls as a kid. But this is truly to me my childhood game, one of the best wwe games to ever release in my Opinion. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who had a strong connection to this game!
2006-2008 are the only wrestling games that ever mattered with some exceptions to like here comes the pain and bring it on. But gm mode truly was my childhood. At 28 years old I still can't resist going back and playing
Me and an old backstabbing ex friend played countless hours of 2007 & “Smackdown here comes the pain 2003”, brings back so many memories, tag team champs on hardest level was always a challenge.
Dude...I think I can speak for everyone of your viewers...but you playing the GM Modes/Career/RTWM from all these games all over again on UA-cam would be....GLORIOUS!! Come on bro! Play them back for us! Record, live commentary, etc!!! GIVE THE PEOPLE..WHAT..THEY..WANT!!! *Vince McMahon voice*
Rewatching this I just realised that the PS2 Version of 07 still had the ladder body slam whereas the 360 version only gives you the ladder legdrop (when they are on the ladder)
Why Smackdown vs Raw 2006 is my all-time favourite: - Batista was the face of WWE - It was the first game where the characters would actually speak with sound (not just subtitles in the screen) during the storyline cutscenes - The storylines were more interesting than in the other games - There were some new matches included - The superstars were more realistic - When you performed the finisher to the opponent, he/she would lie longer on the ground - When you performed the finisher, you would see it in slow motion and black-and-white effect, which made it somehow very artistic and beautiful - If I'm not mistaken, it was the first game, in which you could have an exhibition match to win a title, so you didn't need to play the whole Career to win a title - It had one of the best soundtracks
I loved the SvR series so much. I agree with discovering so many bands! Breaking Benjamin is still one of my favorite bands. Great soundtracks! Miss how good the storylines were in them too. GM mode was so good, dumped so many hours into that with my cousin.
I grew up playing SVR 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. And my favorite was 2009, i loved that game so much, i loved RTWM i played that game a lot with my siblings and friends it was so much fun.
I own the original SvR all the way through 2010 (I don't have 2011 sadly) and own most of them on the PS3 but have 2009 on both the PS3 and my Wii and I can honestly say that SvR 2009 is better on the Wii than the PS3 in a similar way to how Resident Evil 4 is better on the Wii than the other consoles. Some games just nail it in regards to motion controls I guess.
SVR 2011 is still my favorite wrestling game, because it felt like the end of an era for really good wrestling games. Not saying that all the 2k wrestling games are bad, but they aren't to par.
SD vs RAW 2006 was my first and only wrestling game for a long time. I bought it randomly at a flea market. Years later that I realized how lucky I was that this game found me
SvR 2009 was my favorite because it was the first game and wwe game I ever played I loved and still love it The original SvR gave me Breaking Benjamin I’ve been i’m a fan because of SvR I even got to see them live last year for the first time with Three days grace - SvR 2007 Chevelle - SvR 2008 It was a dream come true
Rap music started sucking after middle school for me. So rock was way more counter culture for me. Made the parents mad. But wrestling helped me learn about new bands like cold three days grace 3 doors down. Alot of good bands back in the attitude Era.
If there is one thing I would praise about Wrestling games from 2K16 - 2k19 is how rosters are amazing. I mean does anyone else remember how 20 wrestlers were always missing in SvR games who were active on the roster? Or Example year 2006 had about 40 wrestlers on Raw but only 23 would make the game.
Bc 2k sucks when it comes to gameplay , it’s more about visuals & things that excite your brain . I don’t play anything 2k related even their nba is trash
Aye you my g you hit hard on these videos lol had to rewatch this like we had the same pros and cons when it comes to these SVR games... especially that svr soundtrack 🔥🔥🔥🔥 never be the same. This video is pure gold
Just get the WWE subscription and watch all the old smackdown and raw shows. Then play that Era of game. Makes it fun and brings back good memories. No sports has made me go back to watching wrestling.
Agreed with pretty much everything. 2009 was definitely a meh game I even felt it as a kid. 2007 was the first one I got myself and is still my favourite with 2010 or 2011 in a close second
Don’t remember them that vividly. I think I’ll have to say 11. The concept of Universe mode working organically around your decisions was cool. Random people debuting after a match you compete in and just the overall randomness of so many moving parts in universe mode was very cool. And it was some what of a blend of GM mode and a season mode.
2007 is peak, no doubt. I played '06 first and spent so much time playing it on my PSP, but 2007 added and refined so much of that package that it was a night and day difference to me even at the time. Easily the best wrestling game ever for me, despite how much fun Here Comes the Pain's shenanigans are.
i grew up with the svr games only because my older brother at the time was obsessed with wwe and i played them with him but i wasnt exactly good because i was like 5 6 and 7 but man those were the days. even being 19 now and im obseesed with the svr games rn, i just ordered svr 08 for my ps3 after playing a bunch of 09 recently. even tho svr 09 isn't one of the best ones its still good enough for me to start getting the rest of them
when i was young i grew up listening to hip hop and once i played these games, i loved rock music my friends thought i was weird and said i was white and i honestly didn't care these games were my childhood
I love the whole series but Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 was my literal childhood. I rented it at Blockbuster enough times to buy it 5 or 6 times over and when I finally owned my own copy, I played it more than basically any other PS2 game. I just bought it again recently and can’t wait for it to get here!
Dre the thing is, I’m with you. Because 06 was my childhood and me and my friends played it like no tomorrow. But bro I went back and played SVR11 and the psychics in that game are just beautiful. It’s just one big sandbox and it’s so much fun. But ah like I said either or can go there. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
my child hood was smackdown vs raw 2009. it was the only one I had. my uncle handed it down to me and my little brother. we spent hours playing together. just being able to play a game my uncle played made me feel more connected with him. anyways, thats probably why 2009 is up there in my top favorites of WWE games with 2k14 and smackdown vs raw 2011
i put SOO SOO many hours into SvR 2006. i couldnt afford to buy the new game every year so i had to kinda pick and choose when i was growing up. i had the very 1st smackdown! game, then here comes the pain, then SvR 2006. i remember playing GM mode forrrrr ever... and any time a guy would complain to me "hey man, i been losing every week, can you help me out?" i would put them in a match, play as their opponent, and just do a chairshot right away for a DQ and the next week theyre all smiling that they won LOL.
Starting w/ HCTP, I bought every SVR game until being disappointed by '08. The reviews seem to reflect that as well. Also, give credit to '05 for improving the Royal Rumble w/ the new "Ring-Out" meter.

You nailed it, I 100% agree with every singles spot on this list. Growing up having played these games through thuroughly and still owning all of them too. Nice list man.
5:09 I was sadly not an SVR kid, but even that preview of “Famous” gave me chills
I knew 2007 would be first I’m still playing that game til this day 🙌🏾
Same here...
Till now? 2021
@@sportingclips8774 the servers for svr 07 are still online in 2021.
Your channel’s gotten to the point that whenever a video drops, I stop whatever I’m doing to watch. Thank you 🙏

Those Divas dancing had me weak 😂😂
5:09 , so many ‘4 a.m nights at my cousins house with everybody sleep except for me’ memories come flooding in
2:12 “I was scared my mom was gonna walk in and slap me” bruuuh same! 😂
SVR 2007 came out when I was in High School. Had to bring home a good report card for my mom to buy it for me. I played this constantly and even created my own company using CAWS. 2008 was a bit disappointing to me. Having to play the same storylines again in season mode to get to the Hall of Fame was not fun.
was my first ps2 game i think i was 4-5 and barley understood wish i still had them
07, 06 and I remember 10 was pretty good.

*>Lands on head*
😂😂
When you threw in that “you make me sick.” Right in the childhood you went :’)
Or else your Fiiiiiiiireeeeed vince mcmahon voice
When you played that svr08 theme 😢 that hit hard bro
Rewatching this I just realised that the PS2 Version of 07 still had the ladder body slam whereas the 360 version only gives you the ladder legdrop (when they are on the ladder)
Cool video, 07 was always my favorite! Will you make a video talking about AEW soon?
WWE SVR '07 & '11 GRAPHICS 🔥😘💯
SVR 2007 is my favourite game too. I freaking love how you can control the punches and the ropes with the analog stick.
07 seemed like it was such an iconic time for me. I miss everything about waking up and playing ps2 all morning as a kid. the nostalgia trip is real.
Why Smackdown vs Raw 2006 is my all-time favourite:
- Batista was the face of WWE
- It was the first game where the characters would actually speak with sound (not just subtitles in the screen) during the storyline cutscenes
- The storylines were more interesting than in the other games
- There were some new matches included
- The superstars were more realistic
- When you performed the finisher to the opponent, he/she would lie longer on the ground
- When you performed the finisher, you would see it in slow motion and black-and-white effect, which made it somehow very artistic and beautiful
- If I'm not mistaken, it was the first game, in which you could have an exhibition match to win a title, so you didn't need to play the whole Career to win a title
- It had one of the best soundtracks
Facts, this game was the GOAT
Truly that game is special too me. A remaster would be a dream come true
"What's wrong with me?You wanna know what's wrong with me...I can ask you the exact same thing!!!"
SvR 2007 soundtrack is one of my pump up spotify gym playlists
SVR 10 deserves to be lower just because of the shady decision to make Steve Austin DLC, like wtf 🤣
Where was she 10?
Wwe 12 made The rock Shawn Michaels and batista dlc THAT is shady
@@47FloridaManDre that's also another reason why wwe 12 is overrated.
And he was not available on the ps2 version of the game not even dlc.
LOOOOL FACTS
I loved the SvR series so much. I agree with discovering so many bands! Breaking Benjamin is still one of my favorite bands. Great soundtracks! Miss how good the storylines were in them too. GM mode was so good, dumped so many hours into that with my cousin.
SVR, SVR 06 and SVR 07 will always be my favorite. I loved the 2007 Locker room and storyline.
2:12 i know exactly what you're talking about man, to this day i get scared shitless
My man literally lived the same life as me. Vamos compa! Échale ganas! Much love And support! Love the commentary

I mean I agree, but to me LP was always different due to so much rap influence in there with Mike. Also Collision Course❤️ but I feel u
@@WrestlinGifs that’s called Nu-Metal.
I don't know why but I love SVR 2008 very much. I was 13 then and used to play it all day. That feeling and nostalgia makes it no.1 for me.
Gm mode with turning off trades and cash was an endless amount of fun. Still has replay value to this day
These games and 13 and 2k14 are just all my childhood
SD vs RAW 2006 was my first and only wrestling game for a long time. I bought it randomly at a flea market. Years later that I realized how lucky I was that this game found me
I was so shocked when you revealed Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 was LAST. I truly thought that was everyone's favorite lmao
SvR 2009 was my favorite because it was the first game and wwe game I ever played I loved and still love it
The original SvR gave me Breaking Benjamin I’ve been i’m a fan because of SvR I even got to see them live last year for the first time with
Three days grace - SvR 2007
Chevelle - SvR 2008
It was a dream come true
0:13 Na mate, WRESTLING got me into rock music 🤣

Same fame
Rap music started sucking after middle school for me. So rock was way more counter culture for me. Made the parents mad. But wrestling helped me learn about new bands like cold three days grace 3 doors down. Alot of good bands back in the attitude Era.

@@johnstover4584 those bands are all ruthless aggression era btw
The nostalgia in this video is off the charts, and I agree with ur selection almost down to the exact list. Quality shit man you always hit the mark
08 is scarily underrated every single time I see a ranking.
Awesome list man. Excellent points throughout to back up your choices. They don’t make wrestling games like these anymore, which is a shame.

True the roster on 2K games now are deep, but the games just feel a little hollow. Now 2K19 imo is the best one since 2K14
Bc 2k sucks when it comes to gameplay , it’s more about visuals & things that excite your brain . I don’t play anything 2k related even their nba is trash
bro i ordered svr 07 and im NOT gonna regret it....im in for so much fun :)
No sports has made me go back to watching wrestling.
took me 38 seconds to get here
All this time I've waited
Never seemed to change your mind
I'm bleeding, do not be afraid
Has all our time been WAAASTEEED
I’m subscribing just from the part where you said shut up and wrestle god Damnt lmaoooo I was so weak
Easily the best wrestling game ever for me, despite how much fun Here Comes the Pain's shenanigans are.
i grew up with the svr games only because my older brother at the time was obsessed with wwe and i played them with him but i wasnt exactly good because i was like 5 6 and 7 but man those were the days. even being 19 now and im obseesed with the svr games rn, i just ordered svr 08 for my ps3 after playing a bunch of 09 recently. even tho svr 09 isn't one of the best ones its still good enough for me to start getting the rest of them
I'm 29 and hearing the SVR 08 intro just shook me to my core lol
I’ll always remember 2006& 2007, 2008 partially lmao
when i was young i grew up listening to hip hop and once i played these games, i loved rock music my friends thought i was weird and said i was white and i honestly didn't care these games were my childhood
Great review man. 2007 and 2008 are my favourite
Smackdown v Raw 2006-2009 is no misses… my entire childhood right there damn near
Ah the good old days , I remember just sitting there playing 2006 all day with no issues , wish I could go back hate 2020 😭
Easily the best list I’ve seen. But I gotta honorably disagree with the top 3 (IMO) Svr 2011 and Svr 2006 should switch places.
WrestlinGifs you may be right.. I always loved the graphics and Road to WrestleMania on SvR 11.
Dre for me svr 2011 is number 1 but 2007 isn’t too far behind
SvR 2008 was the first wrestling game I’ve ever played & have been hooked since. I love wrestling. I just wish it was worth watching.
my child hood was smackdown vs raw 2009. it was the only one I had. my uncle handed it down to me and my little brother. we spent hours playing together. just being able to play a game my uncle played made me feel more connected with him. anyways, thats probably why 2009 is up there in my top favorites of WWE games with 2k14 and smackdown vs raw 2011
i put SOO SOO many hours into SvR 2006. i couldnt afford to buy the new game every year so i had to kinda pick and choose when i was growing up. i had the very 1st smackdown! game, then here comes the pain, then SvR 2006. i remember playing GM mode forrrrr ever... and any time a guy would complain to me "hey man, i been losing every week, can you help me out?" i would put them in a match, play as their opponent, and just do a chairshot right away for a DQ and the next week theyre all smiling that they won LOL.
I still play SVR06 on psp with 2k20 modded version
Starting w/ HCTP, I bought every SVR game until being disappointed by '08. The reviews seem to reflect that as well. Also, give credit to '05 for improving the Royal Rumble w/ the new "Ring-Out" meter.
To be honest if Yukes or THQ release a bundle of these games todays consoles it will still sold a lot than 2K
