Lydia, whatever transpires in the transition from your old mic to this new one, it feels almost miraculous. Before, we were missing about 50% of your narration due to the background noises, now we can hear you quite well. And thank you for conveying your dining experience at Selene with such sheer lyricism, clarity and sincerity. We have never visited Selene in Fira before, but we have dined at its sister restaurant Botrini's in Oia on several joyous occasions. Now of course we are looking forward to try out Selene next April when it reopens again!
Thank you so much Michael for the detailed response and sharing! It’s weird once I used the exact mic (see the Ikoyi video in 2022 and the Brat video) but wasn’t that great. This time I used only for 10min actually I think it has a lot to do with the setup of the restaurant how far away I was from other guests. But it’s a great experiment I will use the mic more going forward! Let me know if you like them after you go visit them next April !
Thank you Lydia for showing us this restaurant and happy birthday 🎂🎈! Just one question...Michelin has only given stars to restaurants in Greece in Athens. I presume a lot of restaurants on the islands get eliminated because they're not open all year. How did the food measure up? You said it was a bit salty, but as someone who goes to top restaurants, would you say the food is worthy of a star?
Thank you Lynn. Yea I also think that sometimes Michelin is a bit lean into some certain style / taste / presentation. Michelin stars are definitely a good measurement but it doesn’t mean if one restaurant has no star they are not good. I love the restaurant just how beautiful it’s set up, how much they make you feel welcome. Greece is a place full of amazing food and probably that make it competitive. My taste is generally very light because my usual diet is very very clean with no added sugar or heavy sauce. Also I was all just eating and no break in between and no alcohol. I believe for other guest it won’t be too salty. What can I say verdict should be left for you to try yourself! : ) and you can share when you are back!
