I worked there in 2013 when it got its second michelin star. Rasmus is super dedicated and is one of the best with visual and aesthetic of plating he is a true inspiration to work for.
Oh that’s awesome!! Agreed, one of the most beautiful plated restaurants we’ve been to, and Chef Rasmus seemed so down to earth! Where are you working now?
Oh that's awesome! Yeah a great seat :) We agree, it's hard to rank something the best... we think the experience really made the day! Thanks for watching :)
I love the way you both appreciate food. How it brings people together with flavors, textures and good conversation. Very stunning dishes. This was a great video :)
@@StevenBeardsley-db8nd I never rated it number one lol People have their own preferences and some people don’t care if meat or fish isn’t or is on the menu :)
I've seen a lot of your dining vlogs and this one was soooo good. The flower theme was wonderful and I'm going to try my hand on beets with buttermilk/horseradish if I can figure out how to make the beautiful beat hearts.
Lovely video guys. Im not sold on the meat free menu but the dishes do look visually stunning. Amazing seats as well. Def going to keep Geranium as a back up if Alchemist falls through. Keep it up =)
hey daniel! how did you go about staging there? did you just apply and send your past experiences or was it through connections? would be super interesting to hear how you went about it..
Oh tell us more about your experience!! It’s so high up on our list, we’re definitely make a trip as soon as we can to eat there! Now we have even more reason to go, haha!
@@S3Lifestyle yes you are right they can soon be the 1st in the world I've been doing a month internship there . and next will be in geranium in a few months !
@@S3Lifestyle I can imagine. I have a few of his other wines in my wine fridge, but I haven’t tasted any yet. I would like to taste something aged like the one you had. They have a crazy good wine list at Geranium, but their prices are usually quite inflated. But I guess that’s common in really high end restaurants.
@@1Dss Oh that's awesome! They'll definitely be worth it :) And agreed, a whole novel of great wines, but like any restaurant that's definitely how they make their money, haha!
Better and better every time I watches your videos!! This is art to me and when I was watching it, it reminded me of the Louvre museum .. beautiful and unique pieces of ARTWORK. Really good to watch and thank you to both for sharing it. Cheers! 🥂💕👍👍👍
Great video, so clear and love the lightness of it all. We went to Noma November last year and next week we will dine at Geranium. So it will be inbteresting to see how both experiences will compare. Noma was an unforgettable experience and what added to the excitement was the fact that while we were enjoying our dinner, Noma was announced as the best restaurant in the world in '21! So hell broke loose, in the best possible way. Champagne was flowing, such a buzz! We're very much looking forward to our dinner at Geranium, even more so after having watched your video!
Thanks for such lovely feedback, we appreciate it! Oh wow, what an unforgettable moment you got to experience at Noma, that's amazing! We really wanted to dine at Noma too, but we weren't able to get a spot. Please come back and let us know how they both compare, as we're quite curious too! Have fun next week :)
Went last week. Surprised as I am a lover of meats but this exceeded expectations and is comfortably the best restaurant I've ever experienced, even during the same week as Noma and Alchemist.
Oh wow! That’s so great! We didn’t get the opportunity to visit Noma or Alchemist, so it’s great to gain your perspective! What was it that made Geranium better than the rest?
@@S3Lifestyle For me it was the extremely elegant application of simple, familiar ingredients paired with consistency across courses and aesthetic wow factor across every dish. Case in point the beets and horseradish dish, not a huge amount of complexity but pushing a level of elegance on balance of flavours, textures and plating that I've never experienced with simple root vegetables. It just felt effortless, both in terms of structure of the meal and the courses but also on the service. Very clean, defined flavours but a surprising amount of umami too. Alchemist was an unbelievable experience in a broader sense but on the food alone there weren't as many "holy shit this is perfect" that Geranium gave. Noma probably a cut below both but it feels like an entirely different cuisine to anything I've ever had. More interesting than both Geranium and Alchemist but less raw enjoyment.
Hey Jean Luc, sorry for the late reply!! Love what you had to say about Geranium, and we couldn't agree with you more! Thanks for sharing insight on the Alchemist and Noma experiences. Lucky you've been able to enjoy them all, but glad we landed on your favourite experience while we were in Copenhagen! If you have any other top restaurant recommendations, anywhere in the world, let us know :) We'd love to add it to our running bucket list!
Honest answer, yes we were! We weren’t overly stuffed and feeling gross, rather just the perfect amount of full and satisfied. The meal lasts about 4 hours and the whole time you’re eating non stop, so definitely left happy :)
Yeah it was long!! I believe the meal is meant to last about 3 hours but we were there a little over 4hrs, oops haha! No, the 4 bottles to start was their champagne cart where you choose which you'd like to enjoy, and you're served a couple glasses for the first few courses!
I just went to Geranium last month and asked for a double cheese burger with onion rings and a Diet Coke. The waiter looked at me and said "medium or large?", 😂!
This is for show only. There is no reason why the chef would stop eating meat, chicken and fish for no reason. I will give him a lot of credit for his presentation, but he definitely needs lessons from Joel Robechoun from the French Laundry to stay in business 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Please share how they make the tuiles? Is it all just custom molds?
I sat at the same table in 2019. I haven’t eaten at enough Top 50 restaurants to rank it definitively but it was certainly an incredible experience!

He can forget his number 1 ranking for 2023 with meat free menu, inspectors are ultimately hedonists as well 😆
I'm looking at those dishes thinking how the hell are they supposed to fill me up
Hahah fair, I get that! They’re definitely small but eating constantly for 4-5 hours finds a way to fill you up! At least, we left completely full!
Why the music
it is easy to look for established values, it is much more difficult to make culinary discoveries
I wonder why they don’t serve meat?
Turn the music down a tad next time.
