It does matter though, that is why we have statutes of limitations for crimes. It's never an excuse, and people should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but you cannot treat a person in the same light as if he had done it very little time ago, wasn't repentant of his actions and didn't make any amends to repair the situation, even if it cant be repaired 100%. People can change their ways, and if we don't embrace that as a society then we're failing our most vulnerable members (children). This isn't "justifying" the act, but rather seeing people for who they are now rather than who they were.

@@doggo7514 we can’t be at the same level as him since we didn’t molest a child. Sexual assault is one of the few crimes I will NEVER forgive because you ruin someone’s life. The victims can recover, yes, but the trauma and scars are permanent. It dehumanizes the victims and humiliates them to the point they want to disappear or have a new body altogether. I will never trust or forgive a predator or a rapist because all of them aren’t actually sorry and they would actually do it again if there’s a guarantee that they wouldn’t be caught. It's so sad and disturbing to me how attached she is to men with questionable pasts and behaviors and how detached she is from her daughter. She does not deserve to be called mother, I just want to hug that poor girl.
I've spent most of my life caring for children: helping my Mom with her Day Care, being a Preschool Teacher, running my own Day Care, being a mother and grandmother, babysitting for untold friends and family, etc. Never once was my mouth anywhere near a single child's genitals. That is not something that happens by accident. That alone shows that he is guilty of child molestation. How can you protect and/or defend someone like that? I'd be out for blood.
I used to baby sit this kid when I was 14, she was lovely. I couldn’t even imagine hurting her I would’ve given my life to protect that child even when I was a kid myself. Some people are just horrible😭

What makes a woman so desperate to have a man that they pick one like this around their children. She's not much of a mother.
In my job I had to read statements from familiy and friends of a guy who molested his two godsons. His girlfriend has two daughters, he molested the older one who moved out at 16 to get away from him. Mother knew but didn't care. The guy's sister was molested by him as a young child, but supports him anyway knowing he did it to other children, because "he is still her brother". She writes him letters and promises to help him to build up a future after jail. He molested at least 5 kids (own sister, girlfriend's daughter, a friend's daughter, two godsons), had tons of child p**n on his devices and is in jail right now, but these two women still worship the ground under his feet. It's sick... these women are sick...

You would all be surprised at how many women I've dated over the years that i found out later down the line either married or got into a relationship with a man who has either been proven or alleged to either sexually or physically abused a child. And their response is pretty much this. It's sicking and i don't understand what goes through their minds other then loneliness and the desperate need to have a man.

Just because there have been ‘no other allegations’ doesn’t excuse his behaviour with those two minors or the fact that he may have abused other minors but they haven’t come forward. 20" years ago and no other allegations"..... one allegation is enough, time does not change an act of child abuse. She doesn't care what he did, she will defend, defend, defend. I would question her morality to be honest, anyone who knows that this happened, hears it and does nothing but defend the abuser is just as bad.
Time won't take away the crime, but it definitely matters a lot when judging a person for who they are now and what they were 20 years ago. You can't judge them in the same light as if they had done it very recently. Two decades is a lot longer than you're imagining and people can change their ways.

Also if this man had changed, he would A) admit to what he did B) be willing to pay for his crimes c) sincerely apologise. The passing of time for an offender does not change the trauma of their victims or make it any less valid. You do not simply and arrogantly expect a free pass just because some years passed by after abusing children.

….. my son is 18 months old sitting in my lap and when he read that confession I almost had to throw up. (not kidding) . One thing that bothers me is how Dr Phil says something pretty misleading: that people never confess to a crime they didn't do. This is false. The police interogations are designed to get confessions. And they do get false confessions.
However, any defense attorney with a brain wouldn't advise the accused to just take a plea deal if all there was was a confession. The fact he did, indicates that the interogation was clean and there was other evidence that the crime took place.
My point is: this is worse than a confession. And this woman is insane to think that all they had was a false confession.

He wd try to enter my bed room every nite at abt 2-3am.
I told her ea ime but she always had an excuse for him til she caught him with another girl in her car & found several presents the girls left for her.
She still denies to this day those attempted nightly visits...she's so prideful...that's why they call it a deadly sin.
