Wes proves something that is worthwhile noting and many struggle to deal with: the drive to hustle comes from insecurity (from literal resource insecurity). If you are dirt poor growing up, and you make it, you will always fear becoming poor once again. That will be an insecurity you have all your life. Some will deal with it by being neurotically frugal if when wealthy. Others will compensate like Wes is doing here, parading around like a rooster.
The goal is to leave this place better than it was when you came, my children are mt value, they carry with them the past lessons of all of us who came before them. The goal us to progress the species not your pockets.
