1:30 Nick unironically describing Mace Windu and the use of Vapaad without knowing he's referencing the only well known black Jedi in a rant about how it's fun to be a little racist is peak Cumtown

@@EmpureMedia it's kinda hard to see without all the context of listening for a while. Without the context, Nick is super racist. With that context, he clearly likes the people he makes fun of
All of this exists just as much in the music industry. People really think "oh I've just gotta do a bunch of free work until people respect me enough to give me $100 a spot" and if you ask to be paid cause you have a day job that fucking kills you so your free time means something, people are like "wow do you even care about the art bro, you should be playing cause you want to". People will never treat artists as professionals until they start viewing it and working at it like a job
People are less likely to pretend that they "respect" people when it comes to things like money. If nick being more honest when it comes to humor makes him a possible problematic guest to have in a shithole like DC or wherever, on a show with some senator, i could see why adam's connection would be smarmy about it. Most of the people with the money to host or distribute entertainment don't know or care about the entertainment as much as the money, and it's a part of why they have the money. It's like the financier owner of the Red Sox, a baseball team, selling their best player, Babe Ruth, for extra cash to prevent the team from losing money anally. To him, it isnt a good gamble to have Babe on the payroll when it doesnt guaranteeably make him money. To the team, to Babe, and to everyone else, it looks like a cheap dick move. But if he werent a cheap dick, he wouldnt be in the business.
"notoriously unreliable" is exactly what idubzz said about Sam Hyde and it's the same intention behind it. it's just one person being mad about some political shit and making up some more legitimate sounding excuse as to why they won't associate with them.
Not at all, it’s about wanting to avoid a media circus. Nick is funny and honestly I don’t think he’s notorious enough for it to be a problem but from the perspective of an event organizer I can understand wanting to avoid hungry media outlets looking to tear people apart because they’re working with a problematic person. That goes fucking quadruple for Sam Hyde.
@@adamyooz media circus??? Is it really worth it to not book a popular act just to avoid some angry tweets?
