96 out of 99 on the asvab - “too dumb” lmao I had a 75
I did the Picat and got a 92. On the confirmation exam, I got a 75, which is apparently good enough to keep my 92. Now I go into the air force in a little less than a year

I served in the USMC for 17 years and I can tell you my recruiter was almost exactly like that. He actually made me feel that he was doing me a favor, by letting me join the corps. In 48 hours, all of my paperwork was done and I was sworn in and had my date for shipping out 2 months later. Before then I had never even considered joining. I will say this. I'm so glad for the experience and wouldn't change it for the world. Semper fi

I was 26 back in 2007 when a Army recruiter got a hold of me I forgot how. He was very persuasive. He called me a few times

I knew a guy who became a correction officer and got jumped once. Concussion, two black eyes, one ruptured cornea, cracked ribs, internal bleeding, stuck in hospital for 2 weeks, was in physical therapy for months. If the other guards arrived a minute later, he'd probably be dead. You can be safe to assume he aint a correctional officer anymore. Shit, you'd be safer in Kandahar than an American prison. Bring back the death penalty for these scum just as worthless as terrorists.

After chasing my Air Force recruiter around for 6 months I decided to go into my local Army RC and the dude had me in MEPS literally in 2 weeks. Best decision I ever made.
Went to an AirForce recruiter yesterday. The guy was really cool and didnt sugarcoat anything. Told me about his backstory and why he joined the AirForce. He asked me basic medical questions and then talked to me. He listened to each word I had to say and always gave suggestions which was great. I sign the papers in January then ship out in August of 2021. Aim High
Good luck and hopefully you get a great first assignment...I have been in 18yrs and haven't regretted it once.

one time when i was 14 years old i was out at a wal-mart with my brother during school hours but i was homeschooled growing up so i always had work finished the night before, we went in to go buy a video game for the xbox and my brother told me if anybody asked why i wasn't in school to just tell them i had already graduated, i didn't think anything of it and while i was inside i was approached by an army recruiter, he asked me if i was still in highschool and i told him i had already graduated like my brother instructed, next thing i know he was handing me his card and trying to convince me to join the army, hell i was even tempted at the time, he was talking all kinds of money.

@@Call0fDutyGlitch3rzThe take away is the AF does have bases outside the US besides Japan, Korea and Afghanistan. Most branches have limited bases. Yes, the Army is in Germany, sort of. The Air Force is sprinkled around more locations. Also, over the years the other branches are starting to catch up as far a quality of life which is a very good thing.
I wish I could go back and work with any service branch as a civilian. These cry babies in the corporate world are a constant headache. A woman said someone was "single shaming" her. I asked if she was serious or joking. I really didn't know that was a thing.
My own experience with the air force:
*Me:* I scored a 99% on the ASVAB. Cool!
*Air Force:* We want you and now. Pick any MOS you want.
*Me:* Awesome. Heres 1, 2, and 3.
*Air Force:* Ok, now you need to submit your medical records and pass the physical and the fitness tests.
*Me:* All right, I just passed the physical and the fitness tests. Here are my medical records.
*Air Force:* It says here you had asthma when you were 8 and used inhalers until you were 12. You're DODMERB'd.
*Me:* NANI!?
*Air Froce:* Yeah, looks like you also broke your leg in 8th grade and we don't like that either.

Back in 95, my brother and I were talking to an Army recruiter and a Marine recruiter at the same time. We were leaning Army because my dad and older brother were both paratroopers with the 82nd so we wanted to continue the tradition. When our Marine recruiter found out we were talking to an Army recruiter, he cussed us out and told us we better decide right then and there who we were going with! Marines it was!😂😂😂...straight had us so shook that way stopped family tradition!😂😂😂... don't regret the decision at all though!
It's better to "branch out" than to keep it all in one single branch of the military. Some of my family members were Army, a few were Marines, and one guy was Navy. Nobody in Air Force, unfortunately. We're not that smart...LOL

I actually met with a marine recruiter in highschool when considering joining the military. Marines was definitely out of the question, but he managed to go get me to hear him out. They're actually pretty nice though as he explained the extra long basic training process they had I was cemented in the decision to pass off the marines. The have the longest basic training time.

Out of 20 this week and a half literally I've only had one contact me back with the most vague email ever, mind you I'm a college graduate I'm not a fresh out of high school candidate (maybe I am too old lol).

I was a very lost and disillusioned 19 yr old.. Was uninsured, broke, tired, and lost. I was looking for a family. People to Love Me, Guide Me, give a shit, take care of me, and in all honesty the military was an escape from reality. I found education, employment, Independence and yet guidance, strength I didn't know I had, And a huge reality check on the world. Best damn thing I've ever done. I went into the recruiting office in Des Moines Washington. It held 4 recruiting offices in one office area. Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. I wanted to get some information from each of them. Army, Navy, and Air Force literally got up and walked away and said they were going to lunch and would be back later. 100% blew me off. SSGT Fields, USMC, ask me to come sit down and what did I want to know.. he told me he was going to take whatever time I needed that day to answer my questions. By the time the other three got back from lunch I was already signed up for the Marines. When someone is ready to get the hell out of town and move on in life it's pretty obvious. My ASVAB were awesome I could have gotten into any service. I chose the Marines. Aviation maintenance Harriers. Best experience of my life. I think one of the most shocking experiences though of joining the Marines is that I had a six-month ship date to boot camp. In less than two and a half weeks I got a phone call that said hi you're up. I said nope I got six months. Is a nope everybody in front of you is already gone or dropped your up you need to go you signed the papers.. I went. Lol probably would have backed out in that 6 months too.. it was a blessing.. but a huge shock to I didn't go to one recruiter meet up, didn't have any chance to get in better shape, and was well thrown to the wolves. there were some pretty freaking awesome wolves in the end
Proud 8 year Air Force Vet, this was spot on lol... took me a week to catch up to the Air Force recruiter and when I did he definitely let me know he didn't care if I joined or not.

Marines are accurate. I went to the office, we talked for a minute. Then they took me to the Army because they, "couldn't work with me." Less than a minute later, the staff sergeant came to get me out of the Army and made me do pull-ups. Now they're nothing but motivational, and they love me

I have a recruiter that actually got me waivers. People gotta show they're 100% wanting to be in the Air Force and only the Air Force and will go where the Air Force needs them. 100% service before self or GTFO.

Katrina Jones yes. If you were injured, you go to an appointment at the clinic and they’d give you a waiver for whatever your condition was. So if you had a knee injury, you would be on a dead mans waiver which prevents marching, facing movements, and running. So many people had them it was sad

No joke in the late 80's early 90's the Air Force was like a regular job. That's the reason why it was so hard to get in, unlike the Army and Marines. They didn't have regular PT or PT test and didn't have to requalify with the M16 at permanent party. I'm pretty sure that's all changed after 9/11. They also had the best barracks and chow halls too!

huh, I had Air force recruiters calling me every day making offers to try to get me to sign up out of high school. I turned them down and joined the Army instead. Starting to think I made a tactical error.

I had a bit of a different experience with recruiters.
Army: Talks quickly in a low mumble about the various ways to become an 11A. Always asked me if I had Instagram.
Air Force: Seemed almost intimidated when I told him I wanted to join the Army.
Navy: Actually pretty chill, when I told him that I wanted to join the Army he was like, "Oh that's cool man."
Marine Corps: LOOK MAN I'VE GOT THIS EGA YOU KNOW WHAT AN EGA MEANS? ANYONE WHO GETS OUT OF BOOT CAMP IS BETTER THAN A DELTA OPERATOR.

Looked into all the branches. Marine and Navy recruiters were chill and gave no bs. Army and Air Force were spot on in this video. Army talked about money throughout the interview. Air Force didn't want to talk to me because I knew what job I wanted.

You have to be very smart to fly aircraft or man drones. It requires adept skills in mathematics
Air Force wants you to be 100% dedicated to service, a full attitude of they will put you where they need you. The only time they want you to know what job you want is if it's special forces or specific jobs they have in demand (currently ATC)

I knew a guy in community college in a pre-college level math class and he had been in the Air Force. And he was dumb as mud. He couldn't pass that class. He took it three times and still couldn't pass it meanwhile I transferred to a major university.

Either way, thats not how the AF works. If you get a decent ASVAB and know what you want, the only next step is to wait for a slot to open up for tech school. Once that slot is paid for, they arrange for you to go to basic. Just separated after 8 years. #ContractorLife
