    ...so I released this video just weeks (one week?) before AMG/Asmodee formally discontinued the game. It's still the last official/developer published ruleset and rules edition for the game - for now

    Excellent stuff! For sure a good resource for newer or returning players!
    Half points (Chance Engagement) is 50% damage round up. So a ship with 3 shields and 3 hull, would give half points when all 3 shields are gone. A 3 shield and 4 hull ship would give away points when 3 shields are down AND they have 1 damage card.
    Regening or repairing shields or hull back to less than 50% damage does not take away the half points earned already.
    On reloading charges - most bombs, missiles and torperoes (not all) can also be re-loaded using the re-load action.

    re: 'Attack Requirement' - as not explicitly noted in the current rulebook, the Lock or Focus needed for a Special Weapon is spent (removed) when said weapon is used, correct? I'm assuming so since that's how secondary weapons work in Attack Wing but for those it's noted in writing on the upgrade card.

      No, that was in 1.0. In 2nd edition it is only a requirement in order to use that weapon.
      So to shoot a Proton Torpedo, you need to have a lock on the defender. You spend the charge, then roll your attack and if required, you can spend your lock to get some rerolls. If not required (ex: you roll all hits) then you get to keep that lock.

      Yes, the graphic shows the requirement to use the weapon at all, the text that follows defines whether you spend the token(s) or not to perform the attack.

      Cool. That's a nice counterbalance to the Evade mechanic. In Attack Wing an Evade Token counts for an Evade result itself (not a die converter) so it was very bracing for me to strategize X-Wing combat. It's been an interesting experience 'unlearning what I have learned' when hopping between games.

    another picayune question: does 'damaged' mean a ship with Hull damage only or also a ship with damaged (less than starting amount of) Shields? overall question but particularly w/r/t Battle of Yavin Iden Versio.

      I *believe,* and will double check, that "damaged" means carrying at least one damage card. It's tricky because taking damage on shields does count as "taking damage" even if it doesn't officially make it damaged.
