Isn't it funny how despite the immoral rachet way the likes of Cardi B and the Kardashians conduct themselves Adrienne is the very same one who constantly uses the show to uplift them and being overly complimentary to them!! Yet she choose to tear Monique down for standing up and speaking out against the Oppressive Industry and some of the influential players in it. Adrienne spoke with such a disrespectful judgemental spirit towards Monique because Adrienne cares that the likes of Oprah, Tyler and Lee Daniels might see the clip and there is a chance that they will applaud her for trampling on Monique in their defence. What Adrienne fail to understand is that Monique's warfare against the Industry is far greater than the level that Adrienne's mind is able to comprehend. I am persuaded that Adrienne understands the complexity however she was far more invested in advancing her own agenda when she decided to disrespect Monique - it was a calculated and very selfish move, she had no problem with making an enemy of Monique for the sake of gaining favors with those whom she calculated to be dignitaries. Although Adrienne words attempted to desperately convince the viewers that her statement was a matter of generalisation, the context at the time when she made the statement proves that she intentionally directed her hurtful disparaging statement personally at Monique.
I don’t really get what Adrienne is saying like is she calling Monique a liar? And then she said oh I’m not talking about just you I’m talking about everyone that’s loud... um yeah ok then why bring it up in that moment when the topic is about Monique
Not trying to be messy but personally, I think Adrienne was schooled today!!!!!!! AND she knew it, cause she kept cutting in to agree with everything Monique said. Lol
MelaninBae Lol The fact that you came for Cardi tho... Cardi also doesn’t claim to be a staple in the community. Monique just comes across aggressive as if she knows EVERYTHING but that’s just me 🤷🏾♂️
I know in my soul Monique and Lonie had a talk before she came on the show and Lonie knew she was definitely going to ask Adrian that I'm just glad it didn't go left! 😂😂😂
@Silent Storm... Did you see how Adrian kept looking at Monique when she would call her baby🤣 because she knew that meant child stay in your. Place!!! Kids are to be seen not Heard🤣🤣🤣🤣
She was definitely throwing shade, not just at Monique, but at a whole cultural identity. The the so loud talking, neck moving, getting somebody told, belongs to our mamas, auntie's, sisters, cousins, daughters, who are sick and tired of being sick, and tired, and always offered less than they are worth. And I'm glad Monique spanked that racist ass.
Yes sis me too cause just like katt Williams when black professional comedian/artists speak the truth the first thing ppl say is "they hating or they lying" clearly not even listening to what is being said. I know loni hit Monique up and was like come thru and promote your shit sis, we gotta hold it down for each other cause those black ppl being controlled by white money ain't gonna hold it down for us.
I’m sorry but am I the only one that does not care for Adrienne? I can’t put my finger on it but there’s something about her that’s just not genuine to me. 🤷🏽♀️ijs
How she did Naturi wrong and had to wait until she aired on TV and Naturi was more relevant to "apologize" and now she ain't cool with the "Promithes Promithes" girl? I see it.
Jeannie was extremely wise and very intelligent in her decision to stay almost muted in this segment. She is grown enough to recognise that Adrienne did major damaged and Adrienne must be given the opportunity to rectify the damage she had done. Jeannie's behaviour was respectful and she understood her place and refused to cross boundaries which Adrienne did not had any fear in crossing 2 years ago. I truly respect Jeannie's stance. She demonstrated that she is cultural and was raised with good manners. There is a time to speak and a time to be silent and Jeannie understands that.
lol that whole “she’s a baby” “she doesn’t have the same life experience as a 51 y/o woman” was straight up condescending. 🙄 did ya’ll see adrienne’s face??
Nelida Flores well Adrienne is immature trynna lie in Monique face like the video is not proof. So maybe she is a baby that can’t drive and lacks accountability of her own words. Takes a mature woman to apologize.
Kim’s Gone Keto lol you sound like you don’t respect your elders. And besides new technology older people have seen all it is to this world. History only repeats itself and we haven’t had much progression.
sunkissgirl818 FRFR always talking bout “ I was raised in New York in the projects” in the beginning of each sentence 🙄how many times you gotta remind us.
I'm glad Monique is back to work and doing what she needs to do for her, one thing I do understand is that we can't stay angry we do have to look at things differently and communicate properly in order for us to move forward in our lives ❤️💕 🖤💖
I didn’t like that she call her a baby Adrianne is not a baby ... she’s a smart woman . And I agree that there is a better way to say things ... with respect.
l also call everyone baby rather it's women or men and the young lady is indeed grown but still a child under Monique and in melanin culture some of us are use to calling everyone baby
Loving Life I’m with you baby girl got a LOT to learn. She’s pissed off too about something and it shows in her eyes (look closer) and in her perfectly made up face. I loved me some Tamar and when she left I stopped watching daily. Never thought I’d grow to love a narcissist but she’s growing and learning. You watch, something’s gonna Chang’e and I think Adrienne will be a catalyst somehow! Blessings of Love
Monique: "I'm too grown." Monique: calls Adrienne a "baby" If you're really that grown, why infantilize someone else. If you have to make someone else look small to make yourself look more important, you aren't that grown.
I Love when women of color can have conversations without putting their hands on each other and really take time to think about their response, and most of all listening to one another. Congratulations Monique!!!!!
I know adriane says that in the pass but she love when cardi b be all over the place and being ratchet she calls that being real and she say I love cardi but when is a black women all of the sudden there is a better way to say stuff wich one is it 🤷🏻♀️
I loveeee Adrienne but she was backtracking and I don't feel she kept the same energy she had the day she made those comments regarding the situation. Her comments were directed toward monique and she sat there and wasn't honest but I'm glad everything was resolved.
I find it really condescending when Monique refers to people as "babies" when they say something that doesn't affirm her behavior. Adrienne is 35 years old, she is a grown ass woman the same as you. She just didn't agree with the way you went about things.
That's older people way of being disrespectful. They basicly saying you're not old enough to have an opinion about me....basicly saying I don't give a fuck about what you say.Which is messed up.
@Kay You maybe, but she made incredibly valid points when she 1st discussed the way Monique handled that situation and no matter what you call it "beef", "feud", or a "honest conversation" it definitely could've been handled better and more maturely on Monique's part. And Adrienne's opinions shouldn't have been disregarded like that just because she's younger than her. Monique was out of line. You don't have to be loud and disrespectful to get you're point across and that's all Adrienne was saying.
AT 7:05, LOOK at Lonnie face when Adrienne explains herself and try to clean up what she said..Adrienne stop it you the loudest one on the show lol, and you did what you said people do to you guys on yall show....hypocrite smh
Adrienne is an Adult and Age Doesn’t Determine ones experiences. Monique is out of line calling a grown woman a baby. She needs to keep that baby and daddy mess in her relationship.
Why? Why do you have to bow down and agree to someone's opinion or accept their condescending behavior towards you just because they're older than you? Adrienne is a grown woman.
@@AdoseofAlana_ If there was an older woman calling you "baby" and being condescending just because you didn't agree with her opinion, I'm sure you would be singing a different tune and not just smiling and say "I understand".
I'm glad Monique was on the show. I don't understand why our culture always think grown adults are always having "Beef", it has gotten so old. Adrienne is entitled to her opinion and so is Monique. A difference of an opinion is not beef. I can't stand the way this new mindset of expressing one's opinion, which might be different from someone else's is beef! Ugh. Like Mo said she, we are too old for Beef!! We are adults people, let the mind grow out of that!
Monique disrespected Whoopi because she didn’t like that Whoopi wasn’t understanding her issues. You did the same thing to Adrienne by calling her a baby as if to say she’s dumb. Adrienne definitely kept it classy because I wouldn’t have. I woulda say I’m not a child I’m a brisk woman and I have a right to my opinion. So to disrespect me like that wasn’t necessary.
I’m so proud of Monique! When everybody was trying to cancel her and I just really wanted her to win because she’s so funny and talented. Hopefully this Vegas residency will bring bigger and better opportunities for her. I would love to see her in more movies and possibly tv again.
Honestly Monique can voice her opinion however she wants, she’s a grown women. Not everyone is the same soo Adrienne can’t say how she should’ve did it (it’s her opinion & her story). Just because she would’ve did it differently doesn’t mean she had too.
Lmao they both threw shade....Monique kept on calling her a baby and ADRIENNE said "I still stand by what I said" and "at 80 years old I might still handle something different than u" 😂😂😂😂😂..... this whole segment was a mess
The same can be said for someone who speaks eloquently. You may receive what they're telling you better than someone who is belligerent. Ppl of "color" have this problem with some of us being ourselves. As a comedian herself, Im glad Lonnie spoke up for her sistah and made it clear that her comments was from her comedy performance. I don't care how grown Adrienne is she will never supersede her elder. Fall back, "baby."
I feel like Adrienne was still trying to get the last word and she even cut, Mo'Nique off at one point when what she needs to do is just sit in her seat and SHUT the HELL UP! As for Mo'Nique, I'm so happy for her and I'm glad she is moving forward and doing her thing. As they say, "you can't keep a good woman down."
That “keepin it real” part is Monique having the guts to call out big dogs.... not because she was loud and she was boisterous. Adrian did not stand firm in what she meant. She back peddled.
I love all of this, except Monique constantly referring to younger adult women as babies. I find that to be intentionally condescending. I will be 42 yrs old this year and I've had older women refer to me as baby, little girl, and kiddo my entire adult life. I shut that sh*t down every time because I'm an adult, professional woman and to address me in any other way is disrespectful. That said, I'm proud of Monique and happy for her. She put her truth out there. It was unpopular and I (like Adrienne) didn't like the way she went about it but (like Loni) I respected it as her truth and her platform to use however she sees fit. I'm proud of her for pushing past and pushing through to continue that grind and continue being a trailblazer for female comedians.
That is monique's demeanor since forever its part of her style...she calls everybody baby...and adreienne has not went through what mo has gone through...mo didnt sleep her way to the top...like adreienne did..she fought through injustices in the business, survived being molested by family and being fat in an industry that looks down on full figured women...she meant no harm you cant control someone else natural personality...you probably have ways other people find undesirable...but they know that is your persona and not youtrying to be belittling...there is no understanding anymore...you can tell when it is meant for shade or not...and mo was being positive in her delivery...freedom of speech wether you like it or not.
Exactly. And I guarantee that if Adrienne misspoke or did something wrong in the eyes of the media she'd be considered as a grown woman. She wouldn't suffer the same consequences that a celebrity "child" would.
So Arienne is missing the point that people are always telling black women to shut up, you're too loud, handle it the way white folks would...she kills me with her ignorance...
Adrienne hasn't walked a day in Monique shoes so she shouldn't be telling her how she should react to her career being stalled because of others. People are always trying to tell Blacks how they should react to things. They need to stay in their lanes.
I agree with you but here color has nothing to do with the conversation. Please let's not spill color always everywhere. It wasn't Adrienne place, but not because Monique is black.
@@giulia2098: It's always easy to dismiss race if you haven't felt the plight of being told how you should act because of your race. Adrienne herself brought up how Monique, Oprah, Daniels and Tyler are respectable African American people who could find better ways to communicate. How is Adrienne response not about race again?
You don't have to agree, respectfully disagree. You can have strong debates, but when you feel the need to insult or injure another physically, verbally, mentally or emotionally due to the fact you like to have power over your peers and can't handle opinions, then there is an issue.
Monique's attitude is gross. Reminds me of Tamar; thinking she's always right and she's giving someone something like she's wise- that's when you're dumb, when you start thinking you know everything. The ACTUALLY grown and mature person, KNOWS they DON'T know everything.
I be wanting to cheer for her, but I know people like her very well. She's very talented, but...well its exactly what you said, she has that I'm right, listen to what I have to say attitude. It's her personality, but it's not for me.
I will be going to see Monique in Las Vegas & I can’t wait. She deserves nothing but pure gold. I didn’t agree with how she handled herself regarding Netflix & Lee, Oprah, and Tyler. But she was never cancelled in my household. CONGRATULATIONS TO MONIQUE❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Monique harbors and holds on to all the stuff that people have said about her. To me she made everyone on that panel extremely uncomfortable. Loni looked to scared to even open her mouth. She was a lil snippy at Tamara too, I think. Monique has always been loud, that's her way. But all the mess she said about Oprah, Tyler and Lee was unnecessary. I wish her well. Then gonna tell Adrienne she hasn't lived long enough to tell her how to handle a situation..........Monique, you are loud, you were wrong to talk that mess 'a clip of a comedy show' about OT, and L. And then she's always putting that husband Sydney in something. I think they asked who was her favorite comedian, and she said her husband Sydney. Please stop, before you end up like Wendy Williams, with your husband cheating and you lying.
Monique is a grown women! I totally agree there are disagreements. She just expressing for feelings at the time. I totally agree that Adriane is not a black women in Hollywood so she dont know what Monique what has experienced. If you dont know of a persons struggles it best to keep your opinion to yourself. Only he who feels it l, know it. #facts
I'm proud of Monique and all her success, and today she let Adrienne have it again in a classy way mainly saying " I said what I said, and I'm not sorry for it Period!
PREACH!!
Amen!!!you said it....YOU SAID IT AAALLLL....!!!!
I am not ashamed So if she said that about Monique imagine how she was really feeling about Tamar when she was on the show.
🙌🏾💯❤️🖤💚✊🏾
Agreed
I don’t really get what Adrienne is saying like is she calling Monique a liar? And then she said oh I’m not talking about just you I’m talking about everyone that’s loud... um yeah ok then why bring it up in that moment when the topic is about Monique

Abbs_ Mae and she says the opposite about Cardi B 💅🏾

No she didn’t
She’s hoping to get a call from Oprah or Tyler lmao 😂
Not trying to be messy but personally, I think Adrienne was schooled today!!!!!!! AND she knew it, cause she kept cutting in to agree with everything Monique said. Lol

She sure was.
Nah, Adrienne stood by what she said (which was true for people in general)

I know in my soul Monique and Lonie had a talk before she came on the show and Lonie knew she was definitely going to ask Adrian that I'm just glad it didn't go left! 😂😂😂

And I'm glad Monique spanked that racist ass.
Adrienne threw the shade of 7 summers when she made those foolish comments and Monique politely read her well.
Adrienne should be replaced.
when they talk about the Kardashian, look at her face & body language. I'm glad loni spoke up for Monique

I agree!
I love Adrienne actually
Exactly. Every time she talks or opens her mouth on the show I just roll my eyes or skip over it. She’s not an asset to the show to me.
How she did Naturi wrong and had to wait until she aired on TV and Naturi was more relevant to "apologize" and now she ain't cool with the "Promithes Promithes" girl? I see it.
I don't agree with her opinion on most things. I also don't like the way she tries to come off as perfect in every aspect of her life.

😭😂😂😂
Monique was like stay in a child's place 🤣
lol that whole “she’s a baby” “she doesn’t have the same life experience as a 51 y/o woman” was straight up condescending. 🙄 did ya’ll see adrienne’s face??
Yeah it was but she needed it!
Sure was and she meant it. No regrets
Nelida Flores well Adrienne is immature trynna lie in Monique face like the video is not proof. So maybe she is a baby that can’t drive and lacks accountability of her own words. Takes a mature woman to apologize.
Adrienne deserved it.
Kim’s Gone Keto lol you sound like you don’t respect your elders. And besides new technology older people have seen all it is to this world. History only repeats itself and we haven’t had much progression.

It may have been a "different" way but who is to say what's "better" for someone else to say what they feel/think?
l also call everyone baby rather it's women or men and the young lady is indeed grown but still a child under Monique and in melanin culture some of us are use to calling everyone baby
She calls everyone baby, but she’s also much older that Ade so I don’t see an issue
Cavisha Williams totally that’s on her....
Ashlyn art did not know that....

Monique: calls Adrienne a "baby"
If you're really that grown, why infantilize someone else. If you have to make someone else look small to make yourself look more important, you aren't that grown.
That's why I have a hard time with Monique most of the time.
Adrienne’s opinion was whack initially and today her response was just as lame...🙄
I Love when women of color can have conversations without putting their hands on each other and really take time to think about their response, and most of all listening to one another. Congratulations Monique!!!!!

I find it really condescending when Monique refers to people as "babies" when they say something that doesn't affirm her behavior. Adrienne is 35 years old, she is a grown ass woman the same as you. She just didn't agree with the way you went about things.
EXACTLY!!
I agree. I hate when older people do that!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Question how was Monique loud and all over the place?
I thought when Adrienne said that that it was towards people in general, at least that's the vibe I got

Ugh.

Well said.....totally agree
Ok?! And it that order! 🙌🏾💯
Honey Exactly!
I love ade but I feel like sometimes she really don't know when to stop talking 🤐
That “keepin it real” part is Monique having the guts to call out big dogs.... not because she was loud and she was boisterous. Adrian did not stand firm in what she meant. She back peddled.
Monique checked Adrienne right nicety! This is how GROWN women handle BEEF..
I like being call a baby it makes me feel young & it lets me know ppl think I’m still young ..
That's exactly what you are if I'm old enough to be your mom!
Adrienne deserved it 🤷🏾♀️

You don't have to agree, respectfully disagree. You can have strong debates, but when you feel the need to insult or injure another physically, verbally, mentally or emotionally due to the fact you like to have power over your peers and can't handle opinions, then there is an issue.
People are always trying to tell Black women how to speak and how to act. Never allow someone to tell you how to express your thoughts and opinions.

Monique's attitude is gross. Reminds me of Tamar; thinking she's always right and she's giving someone something like she's wise- that's when you're dumb, when you start thinking you know everything. The ACTUALLY grown and mature person, KNOWS they DON'T know everything.
That was dumb
