Turns out there are several different knock-off easycaps with different chipsets, with varying qualities. Do you happen to know what chipset is inside your easycap?
Guys, im having a very hard time choosing between clearclick and grabstar av. They look the exact same, but there are a lot less videos about grabstar. Im not sure if it is just a poorly made knockoff, or maybe they are all made by one company
My man that was a very good tutorial but i have a doubt, what if my camcorder accepts rca but only the yellow and the red connector (the other connector is a rf) how do I get the audio out? Or the white connector is not necessary? Thanks
Do most camcorders have these three plugs to take in the rca cables? I plan to buy a vhs camcorder but am very hesitant because I don't see the bits I insert the rca cables into
Usually the camcorder doesn't have RCA plugs into it. If it does it's probably one audio channel. Usually they have a 3.5mm jack that carries video/audio and they typically come with a plug that looks like a headphone plug but the other end is RCA. Ontop of that it also might have a plain 3.5mm audio out that pairs with an S-video plug. Another thing I've come across is something called DV or Firewire which is like a vintage equivalent USB/HDMI connector that outputs digital video and audio signal. My Sony Digital8 camcorder has a 4 pin Firewire connector that I use. Some camera can have a 6 pin firewire and even more but when it's more pins the camera is more modern.
Alright excelllent, thanks for the clarification legit this is genuine not meant as sarcasm by the way. Is there easilyva way to connect a usb cable to an ilink port?
I think the device itself is more likely to be the limiting factor, Apple isn't great at supporting generic hardware on them. More profitable to make it so only their own, or approved, devices work I guess. You could buy an old android phone with USB OTG(on the go) for a low price though, even the oldest ones with OTG are likely to be fine.
Does it record sounds?, and could you send footage after recording. Im trying to go tapeless but its so hard to find a digital converter without paying 2x middleman price here lol
Thanks for the reply! Can I take a look at the footage though? Also theres so many ezcap knockoff would buying different one causes to lose quality or other stuff?@@too_many_cameras
They're just standard video outputs, so it should work with anything with any video camera with composite or s-video outputs(basically all analog video cameras)
Hey bud what usb converter should I get if I have a LG Tribute Empire? It’s a old boost android I have lying around and I already have a DigitNow video capture converter model BR117 capture device and everything will the easy cap recorder app take the converter I have now? Or only their brand?
Interlacing is awesome dont remove it guys
did it work the same with lightning cable and iphone??
for some reason my mac doesnt read av adapter i just says USB c when all the wires are plugged in (idk if the camera )
Notable 👌👏

So, my camcorder is a mono audio, not stereo that's why it only have one audio port
I wish i could help but i don't know enough

Mine use only 1 av cable... I use panasonic nv-gs150...
just check the manuals! they're often available online.

Do you know what cables to buy if the camera doesnt have the white, yellow, and red plugs?
What kind of plugs does it have?
It would be: AV to RCA male
@@tiagoalegrerochamines only has the white and yellow what should I buy then?
would it work with an old dslr like a canon eos xsi?
No. Those cameras have the ports for viewing images only
My camera works but its cassete compartment is stuck , if i use this method without inserting a cassette , will it work ?
I can't promise you but it may be worth a try
i need to know if this process will work at a cassette video camera with hi8 like the sony ccdtr848 handycam, can u help me?
Yes. It should work
thanks bro
hi, why is the output on my phone only shows a black screen? it only records the audio of my camcorder, any solutions? thank you
and to add my camcorder has a s-video and av output, but i’ve only tried connecting the av output to 3 rca on the easycap
Are the cables connected securely? Double check. If you can find a tv with RCA input you can diagnose where the problem is
is it only compatible with type c android? what about micro usb android, does it work?
It will work on micro usb android too if the phone supports USB OTG

It does record sound

Will it work the same with type-B phone?
If the phone supports OTG it should work even if type-b.
@@too_many_cameras thank you
any idea how this could be adapted for iphone users?
Sorry. I have no idea
can it record a playback video from the camcorder itself?
It can
does this work with micro USB phone?
It should work if your phone supports OTG
@@too_many_cameras It does, I'd previously done this on my older phone with micro USB OTG.
How do I prevent the camera from suddenly turning off in the middle of recording?
What helped for me is to have a cassette inside the camera. Any cassette. You don't have to record on it
@@too_many_cameras yes I have inserted the cassette but still
I wish i could help you but my knowledge is very limited when it comes to this
Can you link the video grabber used in the video?
Just get one which cost 30 bucks
why cant i get short cables?
With longer cables it's easier if you want to have the phone in your pocket while recording
Does it record audio ?
It does
Is there any way you could connect it to a mac?
Hope it can work on Sony VX1000 VX2000 and 2100

my phone can record video even without an old video camera and camcorder, lo and behold ))) ;-)
This doesn't work with USB 2828x type devices
can i do this on ios?
I don't believe so
The 'USB camera app' is better, it's a shame my Easycap came with a USB audio defect
Mine is DCR-HC23E there's no colored jack
How can i make it tapeless?

saako näitä suomesta jostain?
Tuota videokaapparia mikä mulla on myydään ainakin Prokord nimellä Suomessa. Muutkin varmasti löytyy

So basically with this,i can take my camcorder and convert them to digitial just by using my phone and these cords?
Yep. If you don't want to use your phone, a PC always works, although the process will be quite different.
Camcorders shut down to save battery when you are not recording onto the tape…
From what i remember my camcorder didn't shut down if there was a tape inside. Even if i wasnt recording to it
@@too_many_cameras Depends of the models but it's quite common on Sony or Hitachi.
