- Made for Episode 5: Time-lapse part of my 8 part Cinematic Masterclass series that you can order at gopb.co/mzed (available to download on the 28th September!)
A little bit of fun miniaturisation using tilt shift lenses. Photographed with the Canon 5DSR and 24mm L and 90mm Canon Tilt Shift lenses.
Video created at 15p. Sound all done in post.
In the time-lapse episode I go in depth and show you how to shoot all the different types of time-lapses.
Filmed in Richmond-Upon-Thames - Фільми й анімація
The sound design makes it feel that much more miniature stop motion.
The sound design is really great
I agree Ive seen these type of videos with "epic" tracks that are cool but not like this..Wonder if he speed up the audio on some (walking up stairs) and the tick tack noise was from somewhere.. Nice if Philip would drop a quick comment
This was like watching Sims with really high graphics :P
Awesome awesome awesome
LOVE the soundscape
How very delightful!
Absolutely fantastic :)
Great example of this technique. Loved it! The sound effects are perfect.
Awesome. Some of those shots look really convincing :)
love it love it LOVE IT
Mr B, smashing the creativity once again. Great price for the entire course too :)
thank you! I hope you enjoy it!
I love this effect
love the whole video, great use of tilt shift lenses
Beautiful!
charming little video, very nice use of the tilt shift lens.
Wow! I watched with a smile on my face! Great stuff :)
Hat off to you Mr.Bloom
Brilliant
Gives me a Sim City vibe hahaha
The audio really sells it. Nicely done!
Fantastic! Looks like a miniatyre world, but with real stuff...boy thats deep! Very cool creation, thumbs up from Sweden!
Wow, great work!
Оригинально, вдохновляет на творчество!
Very nicely done, Philip. I thought you'd used a tilt/shift lens until I read the comments. I used to live in Richmond, many, many years ago.
Love it! I thought I heard the magic roundabout music there at the end! ;)
Lovely stuff :)
Impressive!
Hilarious. The paddle boat song :-P
is there any advantage, using tilt shift lens on the time of shoot ? or can we get same result from normal footage on the time of post production (editing) ?
Great concept
Um trabalho fantástico como sempre e a edição de áudio contribuiu muito na ambientação. Ótima idéia
Smashing
cuuute
On a more serious note, what would you recommend for a small travel camera? both for video and photos (I really hate luggin around my 5d mk3).
get a Fuji XT-2. Its amazing or if you can't stretch to that (if you can do) the X-T20. Amazing cameras
Thanks a lot, yeah Xt20 seems like more within my budget :)
Nicely done! Am wondering if doing it with a dedicated lens is 'better' than planning the framing and then doing it all in post?
nothing like the real thing...BUT there are some great plug ins which means you have much more flexibility in your edit and you don't need the super expensive tilt shift lenses. I will cover this in my series.
Reminds me of the toy camera effect on the Sony cameras
If there's a game like this, i would def buy it
where do you find your sounds?
At first I was like: Hah, funny he took frames out and blurred the outside to make it look like miniature stopmotion.
Then I was like: Wait, is this actually miniature stopmotion?
Then I was like: Hah, no, I see, he faked it.
Wait that actually looks like clay...
Wait....
You actually made me question reality for a bit Philip 😂
The sound effects really confused me 😁😁
Great job 👌👌
OMG I love it! How......????? 👍🏼
Fab video, tilt shift lens?
oh man, that's just too... :o
Went for a swift Nando's after you were done filming did you?
i may well have done!
Something wrong on this. Maybe colors or blur. I not had the perception of miniatures how to others.
the sound effect help. Good video.
Fascinating how the brain interprets such images, I guess it does not have any other options based on its experience.
(incidentally, 'using title shift lenses' should be 'using tilt shift lenses')
How!
Hehe. Interesting :-)
Good.....very very silly...but good. I suspect Philip grew up with Trumpton & Camberwick Green
i did indeed
The walking sound sounds a bit questionable 🤔
well of course. that's what sped up walking sounds like.
Philip Bloom always a good sport. Love your work. Keep it up!
Thank god this wasn't Richmond, Virginia...it would have been boring, dirty, and drab
Brilliant
you are a genius!
