Someone gave this to us for Christmas. My wife and I are both 100% blind. I thought I would be able to pair it with a smart device or something over Wi-Fi so we could at least use it. But today I learned that's not the case. It's only the touchscreen. so that means it's impossible for someone like us to use. And the Costco they got it from is over an hour and a half away so there's no chance of us returning it. So now I'm stuck with a hunk of metal that is worthless to me.
Could you have a friend adapt preset buttons on the touch screen with raised type stickers or even puffy paint that each have a different feel so you could "feel" the buttons you need to use?
Instruction book is somewhat confusing. I've had it for 8 months and haven't used it yet. I'll probably end up disposing of it or introduce it to a ball peen.
I got this as a gift. Totally a learning experience. I found the nonstick grate difficult to lift out of the basket. Small holes (you can see on the video) for your fingers to fit in to. They have some bumper things on it that make it a tight fit and you have to work to get it out of the basket. The metal grill works just fine. I found the temp and time controls a little hard to make work. I touched the temp, very carefully, and the time changed. I touched the time control and the temp changed. Curious. I fooled around with it and finally got the temp to change when I pressed the minus control. I fixed Pompano fish the first usage and they turned out just fine. Delicious. It is too big for my kitchen and I have it on my cold back porch. That is not going to be very convenient. I will use it some, but my trusty little cast iron frying pan is more convenient for me.
I just bought mine at Costco. Can’t wait to use it. Your video was so incredibly helpful. Although the background music was bad. Really bad. Suggest it be lowered or completely removed.
I bought one of these 2 weeks ago and so far I love it. It being 1500 watt I cook it a couple minutes longer than the recipes that’s on Instagram that use 1700 watt.
I do love it but it seems to be a widespread issue with Gourmia products, after 1-2 years there's a high chance of blowing a fuse. Can be a simple and cheap repair (tons of guides online). Had one from 2 years ago that just did not turn on anymore, ended up fixing it, but many people might not want to go through the hassle.
You can use the air fryer paper filters because they are designed specifically not to block the air flow. It makes it easy to clean, but it's an extra expense. In our experience, it's relatively easy to clean, but it's your call.
Got one recently and it's brilliant. A couple of minor items, the control panel icons are too small and hard to read. Also, I would move it forward from the wall plug when in use as the warm air blows backward and could overheat your socket. Very good value, buy some silicone tongs too.
Ok but what’s with the E1 error code ?? Mine has not been used for long and now it’s not working. Do I have to break it open to fix or throw out. Seems this happens but how out how to fix?
@@LucidProductReviews lol . . . I've had it for a week. Just took it outta the box today and watched a couple YT vids. I don't enjoy learning bout new technology . . . even simple stuff. I had to watch 3 vids just to find out those rubber feet on the crisper are supposed to be there . . . which makes it awkwardly difficult to get it into the bottom of the basket. Just feels kinda cheap. I'll probably get a lil more curious and try something simple like frozen french fries in the next couple days. Looks sorta nice on the counter . . . lol
Great video, thank you. Yes forget the music on your next one. But great info!!
Thanks for watching!!
Yes, forget that annoying music.

Sorry to hear that.. Most air fryers these days tend to have touch screens. There are some with smart capabilities built into them.

Watching our video might help?!

Thanks for watching! You might find it handy if you have food that you would cook in the oven or deep fry.
I love it and got mine so I don't have to heat my house up when using the oven

You think this would be good to cook salmon from costco?
It's a personal preference - it's similar to an oven.
Cooked plenty of salmon in mine over the years, does a great job, just make sure you manage the timing :)
@@ThothGrowth Thank you for sharing!
i got mine today but i was gonna use it once i move
Let us know how you like it!
In some air fryer videos they use paper filters. Are those a good idea?
Facts is it better to use that than tinfoil?

@@LucidProductReviews what about parch paper the baking kind?
We don't think the parchment paper will let the air circulate.
@@LucidProductReviews thanks i think im gonna buy this air fryer today

We agree with all those points! Thanks
Should it take 20 minutes to preheat?
You can press the Preheat button, and it should be just a few minutes.
i can certainly do without the ridiculous mindless background music. it serves no purpose.
Noted!
@@LucidProductReviews I rather like it 😊
Well done. best simple video. I was not sure about this product and your vid made is easy to use.
Thanks so much!!

Sorry to heat that. We didn't have issues with ours.
that's why it was only $39. . . . it's disposable!
