After a mere 5 YEARS and lots of cooking activity - Whole chickens, Sausages, Roast Veg, Pastries, Pies (I can go on and on) my Gourmia has begun to grunt an wheeze - tomorrow I will buy a new one from Costco. I was very happy with this that I went back after one week and bought one each for my daughters.
On my third Gourmia Air Fryer from Costco and can honestly say that it is a fantastic unit for the cost. First unit lasted about 7 years of heavy use, figured we loved it so much we would try the same brand once more. Second unit after 4 months the basket started to rust, read up and found that Gourmia had a batch of Air Fryers that had this issue however no issue at all as Costco replaced on the spot with a new unit. Our 3rd unit (Gourmia GAF799) was purchased in early 2022 (2.5 years) and again has been fantastic, very good cooking results and we do get to use a fair bit as being just the two of us it makes sense rather than working the large oven. You cannot go wrong on the Gourmia units, the price is outstanding and the product is reliable. When this unit lifespan is over in 3 to 5 more years we will be going Gourmia once again, these units owe us nothing we got more out of them than we could have ever hoped for. Cheers
I just got this from my Mother In-law for Christmas today! I'm excited to use it, I've wanted one for YEARS but I knew if it was something that I'd have to spring for myself, I'd end up with something half the size and not near as nice! So I dropped a hint or two this year ...never thought I'd end up with this beauty! Though mine didn't come with a rack, just the bottom plate. Thanks for the review!
I just bought it yesterday from Costo for $40. No idea how to use it yet but EVERYONE has one and we do like crispy wings and fries. Looking for recipes other then the ones they gave. TY for an honest review.
My new Gourmia Air Fryer GAF824 8 Qt is giving off toxic fumes.. (I had big hopes for this product). I have never cooked food in this Air-Fryer because of this issue. The nauseating stench fumes are coming from the non-stick basket and crisper tray. The toxic stench is persisting even after at least TEN cleaning and burning off cycles of 10-30 minutes...I was willing to use this I item WITHOUT the crisper tray but the basket continues to give off a persistent toxic stench as well... The bottom line is I do not want to eat food cooked in this toxic appliance...It's bad enough I have had to put up with breathing the toxic fumes it gives off. Sending back to WM today...
This air fyer is so annoying. There is no "On" button. You have to fiddle with it or open and close the fryer to get the screen to turn on just to find the on button. Why cant they make an "on: button to turn it on and light up the screen?
Helpful review video! Nice to see one with a square basket instead of round like the one I have
Good Point Sera! That shape makes a difference for many food products like chicken strips. Thanks for the watching and commenting :)

I just got this on a Black Friday sale at Target. It was half off. So far, I love it.
Great Air Fryer - Thanks for watching John
That's probably why I just got it for Christmas! LOL!
I have that exact same one! I love it!
Looks great! Wondering if the touch screen will get yucky ovens sometimes do or if it's easier to keep clean.
The screen has no texture, so it should wipe up cleanly. Thanks for the watching and commenting :)
