I was scoffed at by relatives for my Greenstalks when I first bought them and now everyone wants them! 😂 I grow towers of herbs, Swiss chard, lettuce, flowers and yes, I’ve done tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, garlic and onions in them too! Now I have 11 so there’s not much more space to put more, but if you’ve had to deal with dirty leafy greens - Greenstalk is the savor!
Hi Jill. My garden is fairly large, but not nearly the size of a homestead garden. It only needs to feed two, but I grow a lot of surplus that is given to friends, family, and neighbors-my contribution to the community. I have eight raised beds, a 10x12 foot polytunnel greenhouse, 34 fabric pots 10-30 gallon, and three GreenStalks. One of my towers is used exclusively for Seascape strawberries, one is used for peppers, one variety for each tier. The third is a recent purchase for next year's garden. I have a 4x8 raised bed planted with about 25 pepper plants. Judging by yield between the raised bed and GreenStalk tower, I get three times the yield from the tower. Both use the same soil, but the tower requires more frequent fertilization, but not a lot more.
It took ke a while to get on board with Greenstalk, lets he honest here... Im cheap and couldn't swallow the idea of spending that money! Now i have a Leaf and an original! I absolutely LOVE them! My brother got one after i shared pictures of mine and then when i pitched an idea for a family gift for our mom my siblings were on board because it will be great for her with her bad back, because she likes to garden! They are great quality and so worth the cost!
I have a bit of space for raised bed gardens, but I bought my first Greenstalk earlier this year. I wanted something where I could grow a ton of herbs on my porch, so that I had a ready supply for cooking. We also ordered a second Greenstalk during one of the recent sales, because the first one was so successful we decided to use the second as part of our fall garden plan. I'm so impressed with the Greenstalk's production and the customer service I've received from this company.
Becoming A Farm Girl grows all her veggies and herbs in her green stalks, well worth a watch. Would love to have them but they don't ship to the UK, anyone in the UK found any good vertical planters ? Many thanks
I watched this video logged out. But had to switch devices & login so that I could like it. Thank you so much for considering balcony gardeners & ppl with physical limitations.
Order my first green stalk planters after watching you and Jess for years growing in them and you posting about this sale….they are being delivered today, and I can’t tell you how exciting it is! Thank you for all your wonderful videos. God bless you and your family.
Thank you for the tip! We live in Florida so we will def be watering lots. It was such a wonderful time putting together and filling the green stalks with my 9year old daughter…..she Turns 10 next month and we are planning a surprise tea party in the garden…the green stalks will make it that much more beautiful!
I had good luck with herbs in my green stalk this summer. Going to try some fall veggies in it …got to get started soon. Hope you will post updates on the progress of your greenstalks
Hi Jill. Love watching your channel and learning from you. What advice would you give? I have plenty of space that I am trying to grow in. We are doing a garden and I am doing a cut flower garden. We have been doing some for the past two growing seasons since moving here. Nebraska. So frustrated with all the weeds we are dealing with. Moving forward, what is the 1st thing I should do to be more successful? I would just love your advice. I really want to roll out my cut flowers in the spring.
Weed management is crucial especially if you’re wanting to expand your growing area. I would recommend getting a silage tarp to control your grass and weeds. They are a game changer for us. If you’re wanting to talk strategy, I have helped so many with business plans and functional layouts to help maximize their space. If you’re wanting to get serious, click on the link below and I would be glad to help you. stan.store/whisperingwillowfarm/p/book-a-11-call-with-me-qn9th
Thank you for the demo and the advice - I finally (between the sale and your discount) bought my first greenstalk - can't wait to see how it works for me !!!!!
I have two Green stalks that I tried this year for the first time, I did not do well with them at all, so I'm hoping to learn from you what I done wrong
Hi Jill My name is Natalie from Flowerdew Farms in Arkansas. I am new in this zone and it`s my first fall here. What flowers grow well here in the fall?
It takes about five cubic feet of soil, potting mix only, to fill each tower, so it depends on the amount of soil in each bag, I use Kellogg's Raised Bed and Potting Mix, and add 13-13-13 fertilizer to it before planting. The Kellogg's products are 2 cubic feet per bag, so two and a half bags per tower. Two important tips: Fill each tier to the top with potting mix. It will settle down, so don't worry about overfilling it. Soak each tier before using the reservoir for watering. Also, transplants do better than direct seeding, and plant smaller plants at the top, and larger at the bottom. This time of year, I need a step ladder to harvest peppers from the top tier of my pepper tower, and it has the shortest pepper plants.
Hey Jill and Nate! Is there a minimum order for your Greenstalk promo code? I was just trying to use it for a 3-Tier Original and the code wouldn't work. I already have the 5-tier, but it's taller than I'd like, so I want to combine the 3-tier and my 5-tier to make two 4-tiers.
Jill I am trying to find someone to buy Goat milk soap from my sister and my aunt have a lot of issues with their skin and I have heard that goat milk soap is awesome for it

They are so much fun! I love that you started a trend in your family!

Yes they are great quality and I’m glad you’re enjoying yours
I LOVE our two
I would love to put mine on my front porch and thumb my nose at the HOA, but that's probably not the best idea!
😂😂

They are great ❤️
I've been seeing a lot about these. Too bad I can't get them here in Australia. :( Maybe one day Greenstalk will ship to Oz.

We love her and I’m sorry you can’t get your hands on a green stalk
Nice ❤
Good Morning 🌅!!!!!
I have issues with it getting even sun on all sides so typically one side does well and the other stunts or dies.
I left it in my daughters hands.. she failed..I will do the next one
I watched this video logged out. But had to switch devices & login so that I could like it. Thank you so much for considering balcony gardeners & ppl with physical limitations.
Glad it was helpful!
I would love to order the $79 one but it does not include the base with the wheels and shipping is not free unless the order totals $150.

I hope you love them. Just remember to keep them watered. If the get direct sunlight for long periods of time, they tend to dry out faster

Oh that’s beautiful. I hope you and your daughter have the sweetest tea party. Thanks for sharing this with me ❤️
Container gardening so easy. Long time grower. I do fabric pots too. Even DIY soil works. Compost is the most important thing you can add.
So true!
I had good luck with herbs in my green stalk this summer. Going to try some fall veggies in it …got to get started soon. Hope you will post updates on the progress of your greenstalks
I have 5 green stalks already love them

Might be a good idea, thanks for sharing
how many seeds did you put in each pocket?
Hi Jill My name is Natalie from Flowerdew Farms in Arkansas. I am new in this zone and it`s my first fall here. What flowers grow well here in the fall?
❤❤❤
How many bags of soil does it take to fill the 7 tiers? When you plant rutabagas in them, how many per pocket can you plant and harvest? Thank you. ❤

@@jaytoney3007 Thank you so very much 😊
In spite the golden nose "ornament" the presentation was quite sharp ...
The green stalks are very expensive, even on sale.
How many seeds per pocket.
Depends on what you’re wanting to grow
