Great tutorial! I've just noticed that Teams is replacing Microsoft Forms with a new Polls widget specifically for polling in Teams meetings. There's a lot more options for that now. Perhaps you could create a new tutorial with the new Poll app.
Kick ass advice! It seems like this would even work in Channel meetings, which currently have the issues that Messaging extensions show disabled from the meeting windows, but appear available from the window you used here. I was just concerned there would be no pop up, but I see it there so I hope it does work. The Pop up is a big part for me as people tend to be lazy and won't respond to the poll unless it pops on their face!
Thanks for the comment! Polls in MS Teams meetings do show the pop-up so that participants are prompted to reply. I agree without the pop up participants may not respond negating the purpose of a meeting poll!
I don't have the (+) seen at 1:03. Is that perhaps I'm not the person who invited the guests to the meeting? I was away someone created the meeting for me but I'm actually giving the presentation next week and having the possibility to LAUNCH a poll when I want seems great.
Can you create a template for polls? I.e. Instead of creating polls per meeting, can you use the same polls in different meetings without having to create each time?
Hi there, unfortunately at this time there is no out of the box functionality that allows you to create templated polls. The closest thing would be to create your poll in the Microsoft Forms web app specifically before the meeting by copying an existing poll. Hope this helps!
@@LuiIacobellis however , when I launch the draft poll during my presentation , I found the poll only appeared on the chat room instead on the screen shared. How can I fix the problem?
@@rogetlaw3624 Hi Roget, sorry for the delay. The poll will display in the chat and it should have popped up in your main Teams Meeting window. When your sharing your screen if you bring the meeting window forward as the active window while sharing, you should be able to display the poll and share it to participants. Hope this helps!

Super helpful! Thanks for showing how to launch it while in the meeting. Going to try this feature!
Glad it was helpful!

Yes, the new polls add is just a rebrand but it functions the same with some extra capabilities. I'll definitely add this to my backlog

Thank you this is so helpful!
You're very welcome Toni! Thanks for watching!
ONce I have this set up, can I go back in and edit it? I just noticed a typo?
Yes you can edit the form after you publish and share it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
very helpful
Glad to hear that
Do you have to be the host of the meeting to be able to do this in advance?
Yes you must be an organizer or co-organizer

I'm not able to add a tab to add forms. Any thoughts on another way around this?
Me neither!
My users cant interact with the poll. It says "This bot is disabled. Contact your IT admin for more information." Any ideas how to fix that?
Unfortunately I've never seen this issue before sorry
do we need to stop presenting when we use "poll" function?
Hi there, no you do not. You can simply open the meeting window & follow the steps outline in the tutorial. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
