    My grandpa use this too. He had a cool 75 year old grey slick back. I never knew it was water soluble, looked like grease to me when I was young boy. I remember it being in a tooth paste type tube where you cool roll it up to push out every bit of it out.

      Mike, That was the time when it came in tin tubes. In the middle of the 2000, they now package and sell it in plastic tubes. Wildroot is also an excellent hair cream for men to train your hair with. As long as these products are used sparingly, a little goes a long way and every other day hair washings, your hair will look great.

    Brylcreem is only hard to style if you do not apply enough of it in your hair and if you try combing your hair in the direction it is not trained to be combed in.

    Right about this products possibilities. Brylcreem should go hand in hand, with oil based pomades. I use Suavecito Brilliantcreme which is, theyre kind of Brylcreemish creem. Though I dont like the smell from this product I use it about 2 - 3 days before I go to my Barber. This makes my pomade easy to wash out.

    I use Brylcreem (red container) on a daily basis because it works so good with a dense build up. Whenever I use a heavy (like goon grease, bonecrusher etc), I use brylcreem to style my hair more easily without messing up with the hold (just a little less, but w/e because SHINE).

      James N I am new to this Brylcreem although I’ve seen the old commercials. You guys keep saying it’s a degreaser but isn’t this a styling product? If you have grease or build up why not just use a clarifying shampoo or any shampoo with sulfates? I’m just confused as to why would someone style their hair with something that removes build up. And won’t it dry out your hair since it degreases your hair? Please explain.

    • @danbasta3677

    Hey Cameron, I've tried Brylcreem and 'tis very good an' all but I've watched loads of videos on how to style D.A's, Elephants trunks and pomps but I can't get my hair to get into any of those styles, my hair comes down to my nose and I've seen people with shorter hair pull them off, so am I doing something wrong or is it my hair just doesn't wanna work with me?

    • @filthysock
      @filthysock 8 років тому +1

      +Ezra Tinnuche Work with your hair, not against it. It's good to go along with your own hairs individual style. I don't see how you can't do a DA though, its just slicking back the sides and running a dividing line through the back part. Like right now I have brylcreem on top and pomade on the sides to slick it back into DA. I'm just letting the top part hang loose however it wants. Simple enough.

      Just as the instructions tell you, and the sell line also said, A little dab will do ya. You only use a small application of this hair dressing, and, that's about it. With every other day hair washings, everything will turn out real well for you on this. The main purpose of these hair dressings is simply to help you to comb your hair much more easily and eventually train your hair to the desired hairstyle that you prefer.
