- I react to the Top Gear hosts' (aka the better of the hosts) and their watches. Top Gear is the best series ever created, hands down, but their watches are absolute class! These guys just f@%king get it.

Top Gun was a thing before the movie though, so he probably hadn't ever seen the movie, just knew what Top Gun is in real life

If I had a planet ocean, I would never ever take it off. I wear a Seiko Alpinist SPB119J1 and I NEVER take it off. Well, except in the shower since it would ruin the leather.
@@ttly1384 I joke, of course. The planet ocean is easily in my top watches of all time. They're tough, rugged, and can go just about anywhere with no problem.
It's an amazing watch. Not sure what he was on about Omega not being able to sell them. While not quite as popular as handwound Speedmasters or the wave dial Seamasters, they do not have issues selling Planet Oceans at all.

Planet Ocean is a great watch, very robust, and can be worn on many occasion. Great looking piece imo, would go with the 39.5mm model. The smaller PO are underrated.
i have a ceramic bezel 42mm 2013 model and LOVE it, it looks and feels great and isnt OTT, big fan, tiny touch of red/orange but otherwise a solid humble diver with a gas valve everyone whinges about haha

Interestingly, if you watch Nico’s video on Bond watches he actually rates the 42mm PO quite highly.
May has the nicest collection. A bit of everything. From Hamilton (love his blue dial Pan-Europe), Rado, Rolex to Zenith. He's the man!
Believe I once saw him wearing a beautiful Rolex Daytona - Paul Newman spec, ultimate cool watch for a self proclaimed dork!
Pretty sure he's also had a Panerai on a few times on TG.
And a nice metal Casio.
He’s definitely not a watch snob and out of the three you can clearly tell he wears what he likes from all arrays of collecting. I’ve seen him with Seiko, Tissot, Rolex, Omega, Rado, Casio, Zenith and so on. Jeremy is also a self proclaimed Omega man, dating back to a DeVille his parents gave him before he went away for school. As for Hammond, in his early years on the show he wore mostly Tag Heuer’s with a couple Monza’s, a Monaco and even a 200M professional and he has a the odd Breitling and Omega as well as an orange Tissot but he’s mainly a Rolex man by and large.
@@gameroftheyear1000 - It was actually an Omega Geneve Dynamic that Clarkson had as his first watch at boarding school. He has written about it. A manual wind one. He said that is what sparked his love of Omega. In the early seasons of the new Top Gear, he sported an Omega Seamaster(the Brosman Bond watch). I have also seen him with a Bremont chronograph and a Breitling Colt(with a gold dial - I think).
Jeremy’s planet ocean was the first gen one, 42mm. And you can’t argue thats a fucking awesome watch.

Nah, you're nuts, the Planet Ocean especially the first gen 2500 Clarkson is wearing is an awesome watch and the best looking of all the PO's, they made em in 42mm and 45mm I'd personally go 42mm but it's a great looking quality piece from Omega.

From what I understand the rimac crash it had so many Lithium-ion batteries inside of it that was actually Catching Fire days after the accident happened because of those batteries,. If you're going to have a crash make sure it's a proper crash.... But that's a big deal to have that watch survive that level of a crash
