There are some really interesting watch commentators / experts on UA-cam but so far I haven't found one who knows more about his subject than Nico. Add to that, his infectious delivery and the fact that that he tells it like it is and you have a compelling package. Keep them coming, Nico!

Thank you for the kind words for our late and great Queen, your country of The Netherlands also had great royalty in William III was born on 4th November 1650. A Dutchman by birth, part of the House of Orange, he would later reign as King of England, Scotland and Ireland until his death in 1702, who landed in my home town of Carrickfergus who then went on to win at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
I have friends from Netherlands who have never heard of King William due to not being taught in history lessons in their schools and were amazed with how well he is knowen over here in Northern Ireland and that there is a statue of him in front of our castle here in Carrickfergus. 💂 🟠 💂

What you missed was… Harry’s E2 is an Apache pilots edition with a custom engraved case back. Given only to the Apache pilots. There’s an SAS version too.
They gave out rolexes to regular apache pilots?

Seems like he’s about 25-35. Given that, if he started work at a jewelers company at 16, he could easily have 10 yrs of experience in the subject. If it was a childhood hobby he could have over 20.

I love to see the Aerospace in Nico's channel, I have a 2000 Breitling Aerospace, blue dial and is been my daily over 20 years, a present of my parents and very special for me. Possibly best present I received in my life. I still have the bakelite box and everything pristine. I love how versatile it is, light and comfortable thanks being titanium

@@Hikari_Sakurai now, if I go to Barcelona city, no, as the watch pickpockets/burglars is a big problem, but usually yes. If someone wants to steal, it will need to take my whole arm. the watch is for wear it, that's why it was a gift. regards

There were indeed some very thin watches before the invention of the balance spring in 1675, but they got rather thicker afterwards. Prior to 1675, watches would have a wildly erratic rate. After 1675, +/-5 minutes a day became common. In fact, some early 18th century verge watches could keep within a minute a day.
The lever escapement wasn't installed into a watch until 1770 and even then it had teething issues. Mudge himself didn't want to pursue it and Josiah Emery made the next lever watches over a decade later. Precision watches had duplex or detent escapements; the lever wouldn't catch on until about 1810 or so.

I'm South African and even tho the Royal Family has alot of diamonds and other minerals that came from us i love the Royal Family , and also South Africans saying they should give back our diamonds i feel like the Royal Family can keep it because they will never sell any of it for no amount of money , our country would definitely sel it for gain so God Bless the Royal Family

My mother, who is from Southeast Asia also owns a Cartier Tank. That's how much of an impact Princess Diana had on the world. She really was, THE icon of her time.
