I always loved how Conner's hidden blade could be ejected and used as an actual dagger. It's so cool how each protagonist got their own blade brace that was somehow unique to everyone.
@@chicknchauncy8257 this is incorrect, in some artwork for AC 3 it shows how connors hidden blade works and it shows his hidden blade can be ejected like a dagger, as well if you pay close attention to some of his animations when entering combat and have the hidden blades equiped you can see the blade pop out then turn a full 90° so he did not have a dagger before talking to Achilles, or atleast not one he fought with.
God, he's so brutal. I love it. Really creates a nice contrast between how he fights and how he is as a person. When he's on mission, he's incredibly ruthless and stoic, but when he's around friends, you couldn't find a kinder, more understanding and caring man. Also, the animations may be less graphic than those in Valhalla, but Connor is right up there with Eivor in terms of most brutal assassin's creed MCs.
This is exactly what all combat in every assassins creed game should be like. Dont get me wrong i love the last 3 games, but i really do miss this style of combat, being able to take out whole patrols, clear ship decks etc.
Yeah, i miss that. That's an upgrade since AC2 and Brotherhood. Those were brutal and fast. But AC3, AC4 and others have are more-badass animations. Hella good, but i dont feel any damage dealt by Connor.
tbh i just miss being able to use your hidden blades as a weapon, not sure why they would take that out as it was the most fun to use in combat (imo anyway)
I honestly remember one specific sequence where I was playing as Hayhom and was in an endless time loop of a sort because Red Coats were charging in to fight him and he was battling them all with his weapons but I mainly had him use bare handed combat
What I love about Connor is every hit he deals in his finishers you can feel his rage. You can tell each hit is for his people and his family that he lost. Ezio and Altair fight with pure skill and focus, but Connor factors in rage and skill. Every punch, tomahawk chop and club swing you feel the force of how hard it hits enemies. Even some of his moves are sloppy, such as the tomahawk tackle and the dropkick, which hit like a truck but aren't graceful like an assassin
Technically, Connor didn't fight for American, but he fight for the Native and civilian. He only assist the patriot because they share the same enemy. He didn't hesitate to fight the patriot when he learn that they where trying to attack his village.
Connor Kenway is definitely my number one favorite Assassin. I know every one's like Ezio was the best. Abd don't get me wrong Ezio was badass too but Connor is definitely the one for me. His style in combat, his speed and ferocity is just incredible. Not only that but his overall character. Brutal in combat and hunting templars but also a kind person. Offering people who are struggling with surviving, making a living or shelter. Offering them to stay at the Davenport Homestead so they can feel safe. Warren and Prudence was the most heartwarming for me because Connor shows that everyone may be a different color, ethnicity or have a different accent but gives the message that we're all people.
As for a assassination, Ezio better yet Haytham is idealistic moves, but as for combat, no one done better than Connor from my point of view....maybe Edward? His granddad?

How did I not know this game had animations this amazing? I now understand why people want to go back to the old assassins creed games. I did enjoy odyssey and Valhalla but this is something else.
12:48, that animation has always “intrigued” me. The way they plead for mercy, goes to show that they are real humans, who fear death! Not wanting to be shot, they hold out their arms, while staring at Connor. But, Connor ignores that and kills them. So fascinating!
@@Nuhuh43 i believe that's a game mechanic. i've seen it other times where the enemies physically shirvel at your violent slaughter of a comrade it's sorta like a fear mechanic, where the more and more you take out enemies, the more space they give you on account of being fucking terrified

Especially once you get through the whole epilogue, which they stupidly made pretty easy to miss as it's separate from the 12 sequences The last epilogue cutscene in particular is super depressing and hits like a truck. Very consistent with the theme of the story :( Not to mention the last few homestead missions... Just incredible.

Actually, the entire Plot of the Game (for those who didn’t know) is a war against Templars, (In one game or two assassins) and not killing People because They are there.
being honest if I were a templar I would like Altair to kill me, Connor is super brutal, he is like a furious tank in combat, the guy before he kills you will make you suffer hahaha
Thanks a lot! Yeah it takes a very long time to test and find all the animations. Its still a new channel, so few people know it yet. I hope as time passes the few people that see and like this kind of videos let know of the channel to any of their friends that like this stuff, so more people learn of it and it can grow!
I love the difference between Ezio and Connor’s respective fighting styles. What I’ve noticed is that a lot of Ezio’s finisher animations aren’t immediately lethal, either being extremely crippling or so painful that the opponent is guaranteed not to get up. However, he does it with such finesse and grace that it almost looks like a dance, taking away from the inherent cruelty of his actions. On the flip side, most of Connor’s finishers focus on doing as much lethal damage as possible, almost to the point of gratuity. It’s much more direct, utilizing strength moreso than finesse but still displaying just as much combat prowess.
I'm trying to remember more of Ezio's finishers, but the only one that comes to mind right now is borrowed from Altiar, and it's the sword stab through stomach that he then proceeds to rip upwards further into chest which is not what I'd call, merely "extremely crippling" And after watching a little of a compilation, yeah no it's still the same story. He's more graceful and less overly brutal for sure, but he's just as lethal
@@waldotheranger3987 i can’t really take this stance seriously when you’ve watched “a little” of a compilation as opposed to me spending hours pulling off these finishers in Brotherhood’s training sims… im not saying ezio himself is less lethal than connor, what i said is that a large portion of his FINISHERS aren’t immediately lethal-seemingly for the sake of cruelty. this is just… true. even the finisher you mentioned would leave an opponent choking on their blood for potentially minutes on end. i can only think of a few finishers where ezio ends a victim’s suffering quickly and deliberately. the numerous animations of him sweeping legs, running his sabre through groins and bashing someone’s guts in with war hammers are definitely not examples of such.
The hidden blades in this game were AMAZING. Each finisher was absolutely awesome and the animations for them are 10/10. Especially the double finishers for them. Miss this type of AC combat in their games.
Def my favorite hidden blades out of the entire franchise. Altaïr: commitment. Ezio: finesse. Ratonhnhaké:ton(Connor): brutality. Edward and Shay: destructive Arno: elegance Frye Twins: duality I haven't touched the recent games but I'm sure their hidden blade work is crazy

AC3 was the first AC I ever played and I am so glad I did. It is an amazing game and I would honestly do exactly this with guards. Connors brutality was what made him so awesome and fun to me!
I still think Arno has my favorite fighting style of all the assassins. You get the impression that he's spent his entire life growing up learning to use a sword and that translates through his fluid and quick movements. He doesn't go for heavy battering strikes like Connor or Ezio to break through his enemy's defenses, he uses precise strikes to wear his opponent down before delivering the killing blow. His style is a lot more akin to like saber fencing and I really love how his moves have a unique flair to them while still feeling like moves a professional would make to end the fight as quickly as possible.
This is probably the best combat system in the entire AC franchise. Nice variety of weapons, amazing sound effects and incredibly clean, smooth and brutal animations. There are a lot of possibilities that make every fight a little unique. Some of my personal faves: 14:205:234:2012:12

@@BiggDickman Yeah for sure, but I have seen that there's only 1 type of enemy in AC 3 and it make it repetitive, but in AC blackflag there more variety of enemies, like the buff ones, the captains, the fast ones etc
@@RetardedPenguin Ac3 and 4 share the same enemy types, only new enemy type in 4 are the musketeers at high ground. Every other enemy type is the same with minimal changes.
Conner hands down had the best style of combat of any assassin. Felt badass playing as him. Plus this game is way funner than any of the most recent games

4:17 this animation was what I wanted as a double counter on soldiers in ac4 and ac rogue. Sadly they replaced it with the animation that doesn't even align with the sounds. Damn you, ubisoft.
Loved the video. Just one type animations that I remember are missing, like the best assassination animations where you hold high profile ( the button for run) but stand still. I think they are the same in black flag an rogue
It is confirmed that those female voices were done on purpose. Which is the subtle history that I find so cool. Women covering their breasts and pretending to be men in order to fight in the war. Kinda makes me wish they made an actual speaking character like that.
Nobody in the entire franchise can EVER match Connor in his brutality in combat. The dude's an absolute wrecking machine. Think about the wounds he inflicts with those attacks, even with just the tomahawk. Gnarly.
Connor Kenway is the Optimus Prime of the Assassin's Creed games. Both have noble, pure, and kind hearts but in combat are absolute monsters with ferocious tenacity.
I know Ezio's is almost everyone's favorite because he's charming, charismatic, etc., but Connor for me is just so distinct as an assassin. Stoic, driven, brutish, powerful yet calm and empathetic.
Ezio was the best assassin for HIS time, this is something fans rarely ever understand. His use of wits, charms, and charisma befits that of a nobleman and the elegance of a hired killer. While Connor is wild, primal, and no pun intended, savage even, his style of combat reflects the state of the colonies and the war that surrounds it, the stuff that got Ezio through in his days won't work the same way it did here. Proven by the fact Haytham is in a way the Englishman version of Ezio, but obviously had the savagery his son has.
Dude, 1:55 is the coolest finisher I have ever seen in a video game. I remember it was the first one I got when I played this game in release and I was amped! IMO this was when Assassins Creed's gameplay peaked. After this era of games it lost its momentum and became far too "souls like".
When a game has more than 15 mins of assassination moves, you know the developers did a good job and enjoyed it. You can do this same video on the new AC gane in less than 2 mins
Based on how connor moves and fights I dare say he is the most skilled fighter in the franchise. His combination of speed, power and agility really puts him on a different league among the other protagonists. He fights like how a pitbull bites; if he's got you he ain't never letting go until either one of you is dead
My favorite way to play Ac3 is fighting bare handed and fight hoards of enemies with just your fists or the hidden blade, it really adds to feel of the character being master of combat. disarming your foes and ending them with their own weapon while pulling off double counters is so satisfying.
This Combat System was the best, just imagine. An Assasains Creed with a long good Story like Ezios, AC 3s Combat, the graphic of AC Valhalla and the parcour Action from unity! I can't be the only one that wants this
Love how cinematic all the animations feel instead of just a simple repetitive slashing animation we have now. Love me some challenging combat but I’ll always prefer how badass and stylish all these moves look despite being super easy
Altair - Fights like a true assassin Ezio - Battles with skill and finesse Connor - Professional wrestler who's been given weapons Edward - Unpredictable while guns blazing Shay - Lethal sniper but can throw down if need be Arno - Freerunning fencer
It is cool how Connor can wield the hidden blades like holdable hand knives you can remove from the gauntlet then slip the blade right back in when you're done.

What I’ve noticed is that a lot of Ezio’s finisher animations aren’t immediately lethal, either being extremely crippling or so painful that the opponent is guaranteed not to get up. However, he does it with such finesse and grace that it almost looks like a dance, taking away from the inherent cruelty of his actions.
On the flip side, most of Connor’s finishers focus on doing as much lethal damage as possible, almost to the point of gratuity. It’s much more direct, utilizing strength moreso than finesse but still displaying just as much combat prowess.
I'm trying to remember more of Ezio's finishers, but the only one that comes to mind right now is borrowed from Altiar, and it's the sword stab through stomach that he then proceeds to rip upwards further into chest
which is not what I'd call, merely "extremely crippling"
And after watching a little of a compilation, yeah no it's still the same story. He's more graceful and less overly brutal for sure, but he's just as lethal

im not saying ezio himself is less lethal than connor, what i said is that a large portion of his FINISHERS aren’t immediately lethal-seemingly for the sake of cruelty. this is just… true. even the finisher you mentioned would leave an opponent choking on their blood for potentially minutes on end. i can only think of a few finishers where ezio ends a victim’s suffering quickly and deliberately. the numerous animations of him sweeping legs, running his sabre through groins and bashing someone’s guts in with war hammers are definitely not examples of such.

The hidden blades in this game were AMAZING. Each finisher was absolutely awesome and the animations for them are 10/10. Especially the double finishers for them. Miss this type of AC combat in their games.

AC3 was the first AC I ever played and I am so glad I did. It is an amazing game and I would honestly do exactly this with guards. Connors brutality was what made him so awesome and fun to me!

I still think Arno has my favorite fighting style of all the assassins. You get the impression that he's spent his entire life growing up learning to use a sword and that translates through his fluid and quick movements. He doesn't go for heavy battering strikes like Connor or Ezio to break through his enemy's defenses, he uses precise strikes to wear his opponent down before delivering the killing blow. His style is a lot more akin to like saber fencing and I really love how his moves have a unique flair to them while still feeling like moves a professional would make to end the fight as quickly as possible.
Bro, you are very incredible. You put all these animations together without using any mods, just in "luck"... It deserves to be very recognized.

This is probably the best combat system in the entire AC franchise. Nice variety of weapons, amazing sound effects and incredibly clean, smooth and brutal animations. There are a lot of possibilities that make every fight a little unique.

@@BiggDickman Yeah for sure, but I have seen that there's only 1 type of enemy in AC 3 and it make it repetitive, but in AC blackflag there more variety of enemies, like the buff ones, the captains, the fast ones etc
@@RetardedPenguin Ac3 and 4 share the same enemy types, only new enemy type in 4 are the musketeers at high ground. Every other enemy type is the same with minimal changes.
The ones where the Conner stabs the musket through two people is awesome!

It is confirmed that those female voices were done on purpose. Which is the subtle history that I find so cool. Women covering their breasts and pretending to be men in order to fight in the war. Kinda makes me wish they made an actual speaking character like that.
Nobody in the entire franchise can EVER match Connor in his brutality in combat. The dude's an absolute wrecking machine. Think about the wounds he inflicts with those attacks, even with just the tomahawk. Gnarly.
Assassin’s Creed 3 was the only AC game that I purchased and fell in love with the combat because of how fluid it felt, especially hand to hand
Connor Kenway is the Optimus Prime of the Assassin's Creed games. Both have noble, pure, and kind hearts but in combat are absolute monsters with ferocious tenacity.
I know Ezio's is almost everyone's favorite because he's charming, charismatic, etc., but Connor for me is just so distinct as an assassin.
Stoic, driven, brutish, powerful yet calm and empathetic.
Ezio was the best assassin for HIS time, this is something fans rarely ever understand. His use of wits, charms, and charisma befits that of a nobleman and the elegance of a hired killer.
While Connor is wild, primal, and no pun intended, savage even, his style of combat reflects the state of the colonies and the war that surrounds it, the stuff that got Ezio through in his days won't work the same way it did here. Proven by the fact Haytham is in a way the Englishman version of Ezio, but obviously had the savagery his son has.
Dude, 1:55 is the coolest finisher I have ever seen in a video game. I remember it was the first one I got when I played this game in release and I was amped!
IMO this was when Assassins Creed's gameplay peaked. After this era of games it lost its momentum and became far too "souls like".
When a game has more than 15 mins of assassination moves, you know the developers did a good job and enjoyed it.
You can do this same video on the new AC gane in less than 2 mins

Based on how connor moves and fights I dare say he is the most skilled fighter in the franchise. His combination of speed, power and agility really puts him on a different league among the other protagonists.

My favorite way to play Ac3 is fighting bare handed and fight hoards of enemies with just your fists or the hidden blade, it really adds to feel of the character being master of combat. disarming your foes and ending them with their own weapon while pulling off double counters is so satisfying.
