This is an absolute waste of 9:27. TLDR: you should seal tile. No one will tell you how to take care of it, seal it, etc. (including us). Literally no information.
There are many sealer strippers out there or you can use new sealer to remove it by applying some of the new sealant over where you wish to remove it from the sealed. Sealants can emulsify themselves if the first application is fresh enough. Apply sealant stripper to the area with a foam paintbrush then clean the slate well with a stone cleaner. Once it's thoroughly cleaned, let it dry for at least 24 hrs. Apply the new sealer and remove any excess that doesn't penetrate with a clean rag.
Wow, great Job! Im gonna try This in my Bathroom floor. Does it work for any kind of Tiles? Mine are white & gray & the Thinset is everywhere. Can you give minor instructions? Im guessing I have to sand it down, vacuum it up, clean it, then paint it, then add gloss or, Shine or shalak!
I too would love to know what product you recommend for a slate tile shower base. We’ve installed (without thinking about these issues) new slate shower base and want to seal it properly so we don’t have these problems.
Absolutely worthless. He spends 2/3 of the time talking about his customer, her former profession, and the state to which she is moving, but NEVER gets to talking about what products to use, other than gross generalizations.
This is exactly how I want mu bathroom well the same tiles hard to find natural looking slate its all either uniform coloured tiles or far too polished love this looks great
Well we’ve bought some 12x8s, to do our downstairs bath and shower. Originally we had plans of doing the shower in a light gray ceramic. Might go back to the original plan. I doubt it though.
Thanks man for your videos. Just bought a house with slate floors in bathrooms and shower. And they look horrible. Hoping to put your knowledge to work. Subscribed and liked 👍
I tried to sell mine myself and I applied Superior brand, but now it doesn't look good and I want to remove it. Did you ever find a good product to remove old sealers? Thanks for any help.
Nice video but what is the point? What stripper did you use? What sealer did you use? Process?
Would have been an “informative” video if you had taken the time to inform us what to use as a stripper and sealer and given more knowledge imo.
AMEN. I put slate in my shower when I built my house 10 years ago and I regret it EVERYDAY!!
Maintenance and Sealer pros and cons? What did you use to clean and seal? What a waste of 9:27

Thank you soooo much for this video! We have almost exactly the same issue! This was very informative!
WHICH products did you use and where can we get them?

Can I use steam mop to clean slate floor?
you don't mention what products you use....
Is there a better alternative to a tile shower? I’m remodeling my bathroom and not sure if to go with acrilic or tile?
Greetings from northern New Mexico. I should have just watched you instead of hiring the scoundrel that I hired

I hate my slate shower. Do you only do this work in the Davis area?
All over California, we can get it looking amazing again
I have a slate floor in one bathroom, including the shower floor. The one thing I cannot get out is soap scum.
How much you charge ???
Great video if I could only hear the audio. Frustrating but still an informative video when I could boost the audio.
What stripper do you use?
