Thanks! In my case it was even easier than the first trick. I just let it stand completely off somewhere else and untouched several months, as I was not sure what to do with it, not starting, and I thought it might be scrap after all. But now, finding some time, a new test = all cables on again - and it came back to life. I don't know what was wrong, but it works again.
Thank you! I got hit by a power surge the other day and TV wouldn't come back on, no light, no anything. I got behind the TV, unplugged the surge protector from the wall and then thought maybe I should try the other outlet, in case the original one was fried. Almost immediately after doing that, the light on the bottom of the tv came on, the remote was working and I have tv again! Thank you so much!!
Here’s the weird thing I’ve had my TCLQ7 TV for maybe six months now and I’ve had powering on issues ever since intermittently. I can’t identify a pattern. Power cycling, sometimes solves the problem, but not always that’s the strange thing. I’ve tried replacing batteries in the remote control plus I have the smart phone app to bypass the remote. Neither of these work. However I do notice is that the TV will receive voice commands and the LEDs at the bottom will light up to acknowledge that it has heard me. It seems like it’s in this kind of pseudo state. I don’t know. I purchased an extended warranty for it so I wonder if this is just a lemon. Leslie, I did contact customer service and I went through the basic troubleshooting issues with them.

FYI if people are here watching your video they've most likely tried power cycling

this did not work I did all of the steps that you told me to do and it all of it never worked .
Then it is sadly broken
I don’t have any buttons on the back of my tv
Same, so dumb they make them without buttons
My button is on the bottom of the tv, just beneath the status light. However, it's not helping revive out QM7
Good video, but you say, for the Power Cycle, to "wait 2 minutes". The article you link to says to "WAIT 30 MINUTES"!
Where is the power cord or TCL tv
The power cord is the cable that you plug into the back of your TV and that connects to your wall socket.
Thank you sir, you saved me watching waste of time repair vedios
Where is the power button on the TV itself
My TCL tv just keeps flashing the TCL logo and won't do anything
