TCL is shit and i'd never buy another one of their products again. Purchased a 65" TV from Amazon. Eleven months later - red line down the center of the screen. They kept refusing to do anything because they said they couldn't see in the pictures I sent to them. Finally accused them of just trying to blow off the warranty coverage, and that time they said they would replace the TV and to recycle the old one. They told me to use a sharpie to scribble out the serial number on the original TV. They sent us a replacement TV - a refurbished unit. Now that one is totally dead three months later. Our $1000 TV lasted a total of 15 months and they won't do anything about it.
@@sounds4sleeping435 You only have 30 days to return anything to Amazon. Then you have to deal directly with the manufacturer. If you purchase an extended warranty, they will not deal with any issues until the one-year manufacturer's warranty is up, and the manufacturer is always a nightmare to deal with. Once you're in the extended warranty time frame, though, it's super quick and easy to either get a replacement (brand new) or a full refund. Square Trade is awesome and lightning fast, but try to steer clear of Asurion. They're not as good.
Tried everything and TV still won't turn on. It's completely dark. You said you took it in for repair and it was a positive experience. Can you explain?
You’re a lifesaver! I was sitting on my bed and panicking because when I searched it up, it just said things like “put new batteries in your remote” and “make sure your TV is connected to power” then I saw this video and it worked
Mine turns on, but it's just a black screen with a white blinking light. I tried all of these things, and nothing works. TCL is closed today, and ROKU doesn't have phone support.
@@MrAlexis6383 Sadly, no. I ended up donating it to the Salvation Army because they said they would sell it cheap "as is." I've already had a replacement for it (Samsung) for over a year. I will never buy a TCL again.
Lifesaver is Correct !:o) For some reason unplugging & holding the power button for 30 seconds worked !@@! ( I never would have thought of that !:o( THANK YOU !^^!
#kamakiri.. mine was Not Obvious either.. JUST Behind the white power bar in the middle of tv, feel underneath and behind That bar..there is a Subtle "button" that Pushes in.. I Still can't get pic/sound, it quickly flashes "roku" but blk again... and my Roku is Built In..so No Hdmi cable to swap out...
Love the walllsocket you guys have in the US...it looks so dodgy..compared to the ones we have here (Netherlands)..video does help with this issue. Matter of good title for increasing views..

You can return items to Amazon usually pretty easily. Did you call them or the TV people?
It took 5 years for mine to go out. Thought it was a pretty good deal for only $400 for a 70 inch screen.

Do not by TCL.. just ran through the video and called them, no luck, tv still blacked out. Have to go buy another tv (not TCL of course)
My 65 in TCL Roku tv just went out after 7 years so I think your issue might be isolated
Definitely not isolated
@@drizzyqurkel Nope, not isolated. TCL has a bad reputation regarding these issues. You are the outlier here.
Mine just went out after 1.5 years
Now what do you do if the white light is the only thing lighting up
Same problem. Did you ever fix it?
Same problem, any solution yet?
Any answer to this question I have the same issue
My TCL turns on. With black screen. Buy insignia or LG TV's
Worst tvs ever...stay away from these junk tvs!!!

I dont see your other video for having to fix your tcl.
I wanna report I am retarded. I unplugged the tv and Gamecube and never plugged the tv back in. lmfao
Thank you. Changed batteries, then changed plug-in. Voila!! I would have been heart broken if I missed the mlb playoff games
Thank you so much!! I was on the last step and it restarted!!! I’m a single woman so dealing with this is always tough for me. I appreciate you.
I can't find any power button at all.
Did you try with your eyes open?
