How to remove the remote back thing its hard

You're welcome! My youngest kept meeting up the remote as well which is why I had to contact TCL to find out this trick.
This is a good deal Ryan. I am glad you posted this because I can imagine the frustration of people who are having to buy remote after remote only for them to not work, that would suck. This method is similar to resetting the PCM or ECM on a car where you unhook from a dedicated power source and turn the key over to let the boards run down power and reset.

TCL needs to make this trick known to customers. They need to include it as an insert with the remote.
It worked thanks😊. Nearby distance the remote works fine. When I try to operate it from the couch it wasn't working but months back it was the same distance and worked. Now I pressed the power button for 15 Sec, It works fine.

I'm so glad to hear this and I'm happy to hear this fixed yours as well. I bought a new remote thinking mine was broken and the new remote wouldn't work or pair either. TCL called me and the lady on the phone had me me do this trick. I couldn't find any information online for this so I thought I should make a quick video explaining how to do it because I knew others had to be in the same situation as me and at the very least it may save someone a phone call to TCL support and at the very worst it may prevent someone from wasting money on a new tv. This just solved my problem. I tried several things from TCL website and none worked and was just about to order a new remote when I came across this video by chance and reluctantly decided to watch it. Fast track 30 seconds and my remote is working again! Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear this! TCL called me and their tech support told me to do this. I also had ordered a new remote and of course I didn't need one and oddly the new remote needed this done to it as well to get it to work. Lol

😮 OMG, thank you Soooooo so much. I just bought the tcl google tv yesterday. Got it all ready and placed it on the tv stand , plugged the tv in. You're welcome. The same thing happened to me when I bought this replacement remote. I'm not sure why this fixes the connection but it does.
Ik I'm late but not only did you fixed my remote you fixed my power button on my Remote because it didn't worked whenever I tried to turn off my TV or on so your such a live saver

This worked for my TCL Roku TV 55”. Remote suddenly stopped working and after your simple procedure, works perfectly. Tried re-pairing and this didn’t work. Downloaded the RokuTV iPhone app and that works, but not convenient for guests, lol. Then I found your video and all is good with the original remote. Many thanks!
That's strange. I've never heard of this working on a Roku remote. I have a 55" TCL p605 TV and the review has never locked up. Anyway, I'm glad my video helped you!

is this also applicable for newer models such as RC901V FMR? I've been having trouble with mine and i tried these fix and didnt seem to work on mine.
It should work for the TCL android remotes but I can't comment on how well it works for the newest models. Sorry

Hello. I have a problem. I bought a new tv yesterday my old remote no longer work to old tv but will operate the sound on new one its a different brand. One is Tcl the new tv is an Onn brand very confusing HELP!!!!!
Onn are made by TCL but it likely won't fully work with the new TV. Just use the new remote.

this worked. We have now the new replaced tv and it only came with 1 remote. and our old tv's 2nd remote is left behind and it worked. Good job. Note: new tv is TCL beyondTV2.

Informative video, I also got this TV this is its remort, in writing it doesn't have MUTE option and by pressing channel option when number comes but no specific number channel how to press channel 41 , 39, 57 etc... Answer plz thnx
@@nadeemhussain2609 no clue. This is a remote fix that I learned. I'm not a TV remote expert or repairman. The remote has no numbers. If you have questions you can call TCL tech support which is where I learned this trick.

How do i skip the pair remote step?
I cant pair it, it doesnt work, even tho the remote itself works. Volume for example is working. But the pairing is impossible to do. And the other option to click right for skip also doesnt work.
Also, when i get to pairing the remote it says: pair your remote out of list. Any ideas what this might be?
I have no clue but it works to control the volume then why try to pair it?
