BTW: Old fashioned rabbit ears work better. Flat antennas tend only to work well for signals that come in face on. Rabbit ears are easy to twist to pick up signals from and angle and you can adjust the length to tune for Low VHF, High VHF and UHF.
Paper clip works better than this
Only at short range of the towers. If the towers are further away, you need a longer range antenna.
