Falling rocks should be a standard mechanic in game worlds. Tectonic physics are rarely seen in games.
Nintendo needs to consider purchasing Saber next, their Switch ports are usually very solid.

I knew nothing about this game before and think there aren't many good action adventure RPGs I haven't played on the switch and I only have a switch, so while some ppl apparently didn't love the game, I appreciate getting to see more about it and would consider playing it. A) he doesn't state right off the bat its sponsored and B) the game is legit terrible, there are hardly any redeeming futures about this game, and you are literally better off playing anything else, it's a terrible generic as open world game with bad combat, bad story, bad bosses and overall mediocre quality.

It basically is a demake, the Switch is closer in performance to most 7th gen consoles than to other 8th gen consoles.

It’s one of those games. I enjoy fucking around with the weapon crafting more than the actual game and I hate crafting games. They definitely could iron some of the problems out in a sequel

I do own the game on Xbox. Picked it up shortly after it came out. Played 20 hrs and got bored and moved on. It has potential but better games came along.

I am debt free because of the likes of EA and Activision and am retired before 30.
So in the same light, who gives a $hit if he gets paid to talk about a game. He discloses it in the very few seconds, so it’s not as if he is hiding the fact.

I watch your news vidz most days. I wouldn't mind more sponsored videos where you feature new games either. I want you to succeed and get sponsorships where you can.
I played the Game when it came to Xbox. A little janky and unpolished in places, but overall a very enjoyable playthrough. 7/10. Highly recommend if it looks interesting to you. Not polished enough to sway you if it doesn't.
After reaching NG+ with multiple characters on Xbox, I can safely say there is plenty to do and enjoy, though the same annoyances stand out each time. Minor glitches present in every version and the outrageous resource requirements for gear upgrades, including 2 material categories that are the same thing, still annoying.
Still, I bought the Switch version and played through to credits roll to compare. The graphics downgrades are impossible not to notice, but overall I never found them to interfere with gameplay. Same game world. Same Adventure.
Combat and movement feel solid and smooth on Switch, even compared to playing at higher framerate on Xbox. I barely noticed the difference, performance wise.
Load screens are painfully slow, but then the game runs great once you get going. 30+ hour playthrough with NO crashes and only one softlock, trying to save on the edge of a loading zone just outside of combat.
If the Switch is the only way you can play it, or you just feel like going around again on handheld, I am unsponsored and give it my thumbs up.
Good Port of a Good but not quite Great game.
Other than a couple puzzle animations freezing after solving them(unessential flavor visuals), the game runs with less bugs than the Xbox port did at launch.
I'm fine with sponsored videos like this but it feels weird when it comes across as an "honest" impressions video.
That being said, at least he was upfront about it being a sponsored video.

@@ToddTheRodHoward I'm playing it on high settings on Xbox series X and it has flaws but it's fun. The combos in the air, the beautiful vast open world and the combat. The puzzles are simple, turn off gibberish/narration. There's a lot of dialogue. The game is 7.5 at the moment. When I beat the game I'll probably rate it higher. So far loving the game, some of the enemies and bosses are interesting.

It’s actually a really cool game that’s quite unique.
Really appreciate Saber. Before they became a Switch-porting powerhouse they were commissioned by Microsoft to port Halo 3 to PC (for a Russia-only public beta test which only lasted a little while before getting cancelled) which led to fans in America getting their hands on it, reviving the servers for it, and enjoying a few all-new Halo 3 maps developed by Saber (stages I quite enjoy).
I would have gotten this for Switch if it was ported less than a year after the other platforms, but I got it on PC instead for around $20. Still have yet to play it but it seems interesting enough

That's my problem I got this game for free I'm certainly not going to pay for a paired down portable version, but that's just me personally and to each their own.

I was super excited for this game when it got announced and I wasn't fully disappointed when I tried it out like most people were. It set a foundation for a really solid game, but setting a foundation isn't what starts a successful brand in the video game industry. They should have went for a more linear story with difficulty sliders. Exploring and creation were some of the best parts of the game so if you literally just play games for escapism you'll have a really unique experience with this one. Understandable that it missed the mark for most, but really could turn into something great if they put some thought into it rather than try to innovate off of other successful formulas.

Watching through the vid, it's the same as any of his other videos, sponsored or not. He's reviewed other ports that have had paired back visuals like this and it was basically the same commentary.

Nah, if the game had a less repetitive gameplay and story, the graphical downgrades wouldn't be as much of a hit but all in all, the visuals are the only aspect that was selling the game.

My honest review of Biomutant, I think the game had potential to be good. It definitely wasn't. It had good ideas on paper and failed to execute on all of them.

Hopefully the next Nintendo console not only allows for backwards compatibility but also improves performance of existing games much like how playing PS4/Xbox One games on PS5/Xbox Series improves frame rates, resolution and loading times.

As a big Nintendo fan myself man is it so embarrassing how bad and behind the power and ability of that console is… we need that Switch 2 now.
I played through the game around the time it came out and maybe got to the second area if I remember correctly and fell off. I did like overall what I experienced but the open world was a little too open for my playstyle. I think I moved on to whatever new game came out and never came back to finish. I'll probably come back, though admittedly, there are other games higher on my priority list.
The ported it to switch and asked me to review it.

come on Jon. There are other sponsored videos that would still point out the negative sides of the product in question. Unless if I am misunderstood you were sponsored to talk about the game and bring to our attention the fact that this game exists on the switch, period. This looks like a gamecube game. and i remember the reviews were mostly mixed like a meh game, you don't seem to mention that either.
Gamecube had 3 MB of ram for the GPU. 2 MB framebuffer and 1 MB for texture cache and typically either 480i or 480p resolution.
This game would have to be compromised a lot to have a shot at running on the gamecube.

God biomutant was an interesting premise that was ruined by so many dumb decisions that made the game uninteresting and bland. Barely got into it before i put it down. Such a small number of games that I've never finished. Why waste money porting this? Who asked for this?

I played & Platinumed this when it first came out. It wasn't the best looking game, but D**N this looks terrible, I know it's Switch & impressive they got it running at all, but OUCH!
Not a good idea to watch this after a session on Avatar. Things have moved on a lot.
Unless there is the ability to turn that damn voice off the game can die. It’s fun to play, they shouldn’t have put a class behind pre order, hopefully that’s changed. The most annoying fault was the voice over, that never ever, ever, ever stops. Ok now I’ll watch a paid review, well skip through it since I unfortunately own it on my ps4. It’s probably good for kids, maybe they can get over the voice.

The makers of Biomutant seem to be pretty desperate. I hope they paid you a pretty penny to push this garbage. Would have been better if they spent all that time and money on making a better game though.
It´s a shame the ground textures are genuinely PSX tier.
It looks rather sharp and decent, and the perfomance is rock solid with some OC, but the ground textures distract your entire playthrough and I just couldn´t continue.
I remember during the wii days when games were almost never down-ported and now here we are frequently seeing publishers port games to the switch which is about 7 years old now and was released as an already underpowered system. Strange state of affairs in the industry.
I think the difference between then and now is that games just cost more to make, and as such, it's more economical to just downport the game instead of making an original version. It's a shame since there have been plenty of titles that bare the same name but are completely different in years past and sometimes if both versions end up being good, you essentially have two great games to play instead of one.

@@mattguy2720 from what other creators have said in the past, there usually is a list of bullet points that have to be mentioned (doesn’t matter the product), usually some footage of the product being used or demonstrated, the video has to be a certain length of time, must not contain offensive language, probably not to disparage the product (like you can’t say the food taste awful, or this razor is terrible, or in this case the game is a buggy mess.) but they also allow the creator to back out if they think the product is bad.
It has to go up with a certain number of days
The video is usually submitted to the sponsor to make sure all the terms and conditions are met and then they either send notes for correction and give them time to fix it.
They usually pick channels with good viewing numbers and followers.
Sometimes they may have a minimum number of views .

I tried biomutant a while back, but the animations arent great and that put me off of it, especialy after i fought a troll wielding a pillar and its animations were realy bad and noticeable
